It's always been so. They threw Jeremiah into the pit. Religious leaders have always been guilty of killing the Prophets. They still are.
Matthew 23:
28Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
Silencing the Prophetic is an antichrist spirit.
Here's the bad news. Any church, any institution, any organization any government that does silence the prophetic will suffer the consequences. They will suffer defeat, they will decline, they will stop.
The Prophetic is essential to prosper. The opposite is to languish.
You don't have to hear the prophet, you don't have to accept what he says. Ahab didn't, Jezebel tried to kill the prophet.
Ahab said, "Why are you here you troubler of Israel". Prophets are trouble because they cause people to come into line with God's plan rather than their own. Control is always the Jezebel spirit.
Prophets may not win any popularity contests. But they are essential.

The prophetic brings a living word a rhema word and brings life. At least it is supposed to.
I think if ppl got out of their heads and listened to their spirits they would hear God throught the voices of men and women.
Prophesy to the wind, no one can stop you. If your church silences you, the internet can't ;).
If your pastor doesn't believe in it and you are a prophet, either stay because you know you are supposed to be there or leave and go get nurtured.
God led me to a place to get nurtured where prophets are a dime a dozen and no one special. We eat humble pie regularly.
No one has a problem calling a pastor a pastor, what is the problem calling a prophet a prophet. No one wants to kill a pastor for not pastoring properly. But if a prophet does not prophesy properly they want to stone him.
Um we live not under the law, but grace.
Prophets, be freeee! Prophesy to the wind!!! hehe, can't shut us up.
I have chosen to NOT publish a comment that I think was designed to be cutting and without faith. You know who you are. I have however published a few articles in full from other authors with attribution to help this individual come to grips with the prophetic. I hope he or she does. I hope he or she will put aside their disbelief and skepticism.
I refuse to play the game. I am what I am and the only thing that will cause me to cease being what I am from here on out is my death.
I am a Prophet, for better or worse, submitted to leadership, in order, ordained by God and recognized as such by man.
I need nor will present no further credentialing.
I do carry ministerial credentials in full, but I will not play the game of mine is bigger than yours. (credentials that is)
If anyone decides to doubt or withdraw themselves from me because of an issue with the Gift of God in Ministry I carry then that is their loss. This morning I prophesied over a man. I'm glad I did. It was in front of a whole room of men. This man's life is forever changed for the better.
I know that. The pastor was there.
This is not rocket science. This is the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
Either it's there or it's not.
