When "Christian" music isn't worship - sometimes it's not

Amos 5:23 Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen.


“Amos 5 says, “Stop your songs, your hearts aren’t right.” I would simply say this: all I would ask of a musician is whatever musical style he chooses to use, I want to know that he is filled with the Spirit.

Because if the Spirit of God is using him, his sensitivity to the Holy Spirit will come through in any musical style. He’ll modify it enough so that it doesn’t cheapen the profound.

If his heart isn’t right, God doesn’t want to hear his songs, that’s Amos, chapter 5, “Stop your songs, your hearts aren’t right.”

Go back, get your heart right and then come and sing your song to me. I really believe that you leave it at that point; if the heart of the musician is right, it is amazing how many different kinds of forms and styles he can communicate the truth in. ~ John MacArthur”


Whilst the verse that John refers to in Amos 5:23 probably refers to the harp, the sense is right. The singing of their psalms is nothing more to God than a wearisome noise, which is to be brought to an end. Scripture is clear, if we embrace and hold on to sin in our heart, God will not hear us when we call out to Him. The issue of the heart is the heart of the issue.

John Wesley goes further, “Used in their sacrifices, and solemn feasts; herein they imitated the temple - worship, but all was unpleasing to the Lord.” Role playing, empty hearts, going through the motions… today is a day to stop the song, correct our hearts and move on.

Jesus said the same, that if you are going to give and on the way realise that you have something adrift with your brother, you are to leave you gift, go and get reconciled. Differences sorted, it is then appropriate to present your gift. God is always watching, noticing and discerning the thought and intentions of our hearts.

Remember when Moses came down from the mountain with his assistant. Israel had made a golden calf and were enthusiastically worshiping and celebrating that ‘a cow had brought them out out of Egypt’. Their celebrations were loud. Moses enquired about the noise, that it was not the sound of victory, not the sound of defeat, but just the sound of singing.

It was a Laodicean song.

This is not just about the general congregation. I know a few prophets that have bitterness and resentment festering in their hearts, and the outcome is revealed openly in pride. God actively opposes pride - He’s a jealous God, and all the glory belongs to Him. So that is a warning in itself!

“How many are loud in voice, dumb in heart! How many lips are silent, but their love is loud! For the ears of God are to the heart of man. As the ears of the body are to the mouth of man, so the heart of man is to the ears of God. Many are heard with closed lips, and many who cry aloud are not heard.” Augustine

Loss

Last night I heard a cousin I grew up with (my age) passed away.

It's always a shock. Even as we get older. Too Young. Too much life yet to live. All true.

Why? What?

What makes this more focused is in my reading yesterday I was pondering Jeremiah Chapter 8.

This may seem like a brutal judging God speaking. He's not. He's bringing people to repentance by his action. Loss will do that. It will restore as we heed his word. He calls; will we answer?

It's all hard. I don't know what to make of it. I do know this ---- God Does.

A Picture of what the Church of Jesus will look like in the Future

This morning in a conversation with a friend of mine we were talking about the economy in the USA and what the coming changes will bring for the Church of Jesus. He is from South America. We have all seen and heard what things have been like in South American churches. Argentina. Brazil.

Huge churches full of very poor people. Not people who were always poor. Particularly in Argentina. These churches are substantial, but not glitzy. People are passionate and hungry but broke.

God supplies. He protects. Miracles happen.

During our conversation, I got one of those flashes of revelation that comes sometimes.

I saw churches, churches I care about, churches hungry for revival, full to the brim like the churches I attended in Rio years ago. Full to the brim. Standing room only. 10 services a day. Full of people who desperately need Jesus, who worshiped him with all their heart. But those people were so poor they couldn't support the church they attended. Churches of tens of thousands trying hard to just keep the doors open.

Here's what the Lord says, "I am about to pour out my spirit on all flesh. Get ready for a harvest of souls beyond what you could imagine."

In my spirit I see American churches like those in South America. Full but very very basic. All meat, no glitz. Much different from what you see today.

Anyone who has ever spent much time on the mission field in developing countries knows exactly what I am talking about. My concern is how can the Church of Jesus be ready for the coming revival? Maybe they won't. Think about how Willow Creek will do with 1/4 the giving it has now and twice the people to serve. Is it possible.

Now transpose that to the Church you are in leadership of. What will this mean?

Ultimate Healing

I love a good healing service. I love when people are touched by Jesus and restored physically.

This morning in contemplating a healing service, I was reminded in my spirit.....

Ultimate Healing is always the end result of physical healing. Jesus healed often and then admonished people to come to faith in God.

A healing service should NOT be focused on healing but on ultimate healing.

I have been part of lots of healing services. I have been part of lots of services where people are called to repentance, to find the way to the Father thru Jesus.

Many people come, not all respond. They leave as lost as they came. Just like healing. People come, sick, wounded, hurting. Then they come forward for healing ministry. They leave sick, wounded, hurting. SEE they say, it didn't work.

Nope, it didn't. You come to the Father thru Jesus by faith. You come to wholeness in body by faith in the healer, Jesus.

Now, you can have faith for healing and not be healed. But you will never be healed unless you come to him for healing.

I think it's time for healing services once again.

I love what Pastor Jim says, "Bring your sick, bring your dead". Jesus is here to heal and restore.

That's not only physical, it's spiritual. Both are critical. Both matter.

GIGO

I thought of GIGO this morning. Computer Phrase from long ago. Garbage in - Garbage out.

It's more appropriate when one considers what we think or see or read or allow into our spirit.

The ones most in danger are those who think they are strong. Lest they fall.

I wonder how many Christian leaders were led astray by movies, books and other things.

Whatever we fill our hearts with will come out, under pressure, accidentally, in pain.

Hit your finger with a hammer and see what comes out..... That's what was in there all along.

Now who put it there? GOD?

I use the hammer example because the others are closer to the marrow. This has to do with our reaction to anything or anyone. No one is so spiritual that they (or I) can keep putting filth in our spirits and not expecting that there will come a day when......

This word lines up with what the Lord is telling me... Spring will Spring up.... That doesn't mean winter isn't coming, but Spring is Coming.

Prayer

Father I praise you for I am growing like a cedar, strong and majestic showing Your glory to the world. I am so thankful You have given me favor with You. Although this is very foreign to me based on some of the things I have experienced, I choose to receive Your favor in my own eyes so I can in turn see myself as You see me.

In receiving all You have for me, I am able to see others in a whole new light and truly love my neighbor as myself. I reach out to You Lord and touch You by faith embracing all You desire to reveal to me. The ears of my heart are open. I listen with an obedient heart to all Your promptings and encouraging words of love. You abide in the depths of my spirit and flow out of me in streams of living water…water which speaks the desire of Your heart for my life and the lives of others.

Yes, I praise You for You always near to me, for You truly are in me as I am in You. By faith I hear Your every word with clarity more and more as the day pass. My trust and confidence in You are growing continually as I seek Your face and meditate on Your word. Thank you for watching over Your Word to perform it according to Your plan for my life. I see Your powerful hand being revealed on a daily basis and I am grateful. Thank You for opening the eyes of my heart and letting me see what You see. In doing this I am able to enter into that deep and intimate communion with You, for I am truly and unconditionally loved. Amen.

Reflect and Journal

  1. Take time to reflect on the ways you view yourself. Think about your daily self-talk. Are your thoughts in agreement with what God’s word says about you? What negative things do you find yourself saying most often? Find a scripture to counteract this lie and renew your mind with the truth until you believe it.
  2. If you thoughts are not positive and in agreement with the Word, determine if you are truly willing to get into harmony with God’s opinion of you. Write out your response.
  3. Search out and write down the scriptures that refer to God’s favor for you.
  4. Spend time seeking the Lord and praise Him as you receive by faith the promises He has written for you.
  5. Make a list of things you have longed for concerning yourself…things you desire to be true in your life. Trust God that he will bring them to pass and then praise Him for the completion of His workmanship in You.

Witness of the Spirit - Hearing from God - Wisdom

I won't point to it but some prophetic people use the Subjective Prophetic, Things in the natural are indications or messages of God's purposes and plans.

While I don't deny the subjective prophetic, it takes a great deal to convince me that every bird that flies by, every rainbow, every clap of thunder, every event has a message. At some level we become slave to seeking a sign.

What we must do as people of the Prophetic is look for God's hand in everything and then ask the Spirit of God to reveal which are his voices.

That happens in rehearsing scripture. Not just reading. Chewing it.

That happens sometimes in a song.

It happens sometimes in a happenstance.

Mostly because Holy Ghost says to you, This is of me. Hear my voice. I am speaking.

I mention this because I have a friend who is fasting and asking God for Guidance. I want him to win. Maybe just a still small quiet place is where he needs to go. He needs to look and see and wait on the Lord to renew his strength. It's a promise. And that promise has a premise. Wait.

God wants to speak to you more than your ability to listen.

One other thing. Go ahead, listen to the news, read newspapers, even read books and then ask the Holy Ghost to reveal lies and falsehood. Ask him what truth is? He is the God of Truth and he will show you. The tower at Shiloam that fell didn't take Jesus by surprise. He knew the word of the day.

We are to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Wisdom at it's root is a knowing. Never surprised.

I am saddened by Christians who make a policy of being ignorant. We are not called to be ignorant but to be wise. If anyone lacks, let him ask.

God uses foolish things to confound the wise. The inverse of that God uses the "WISE" things to inform the "Foolish".

Peace comes from KNOWING the God of Peace in a world of Turmoil. That's the wisest thing we can do.

Holding Back the Judgement of God

This is a prophetic statement.

God is about to kick out the props of everything that depends on anything but him. He is going to be aggressive. If it takes a drought there will be drought. If it takes storm, there will be storm. If it takes economic want, there will be economic want.

Dependence on anything other than Him will no longer be winked at. Everything that can be shaken will be. This time He's going to sift. Many will be offended at his judgments. Many will be angry at God for his actions. Many will turn cold and hard as Pharaoh did. He is doing these things not because he is angry, but because he wants to call all men unto him.

But don't be deceived God is not mocked. We have sown and now we will reap. The next years will be very difficult. "Where's God" will become the sound of the lukewarm in the Church. There will be a great falling away.

The reality is God is where He has always been.

We can hold back the Judgement of God by repentance as the King of Nineveh called for repentance and Judgement was held off. There is no King. Today, everyone does what seems right in their own eyes. They do what they believe makes sense. Everything except repentance.

The path to judgement is ahead. When the drought comes, it will mean even the Godly will see it. The Widow of Zarephath was still starving until Elijah came to her. He willingness to be obedient, to obey the word of the Lord didn't keep her from suffering from the famine in the land. Here's a little known fact. Her faith, not her heritage saved her. She wasn't living in Israel. Maybe even not a Jew. She was from the area of Sidon. An outlander.

The rain and storm will fall on the Just and Unjust alike. It's time to hear the word of the Lord and come together in faith believing. We can be preserved even when the storm comes, but it will take great faith. Faith not in government, faith in God alone.

Pain reveals unhealed scars

I have a scar on my body. It's not painful except when I touch it wrong. Then it is.

Yes I have had it looked at. It's OK. It's just a scar. But if I bump it wrong, if I torment it, it will flare up and cause problems. Pain.

People are like that. I have discovered over the years that people in ministry are a lot like that. I keep running into ministers, particularly those with a national platform, who are unable to be questioned or corrected. They are like that scar. If you bump them wrong they are inflamed.

I don't run into that in the world as much. It seems like people who are particularly driven to be in ministry for the most part are driven by a need to keep salve on the pain in their lives.

This helps me understand why so many ministries are so self centered. They sing the worship song, "It's all about MEEEEE". They have failed to read the first line in Rick Warren's good book, "It's not about you".

I'm not critical as much as becoming aware of the need to let those who are called of God to a ministry be who they think they are.

I wish they would read Final Quest (again if they read it once). We are far less important than we think we are.

And it's not about YOU.

This comes in response to an interaction I had this last week with a man I don't actually know, but who is on a platform. His response tells me that his scab is still pretty tender. Hurting people hurt people.

God told me that I need to know and recognize this. He also uses this little thorn to remind me.

My Grace is sufficient for the day.

It is.

How the Very Elect will be Decieved

I have let the whole changing of the guard settle in my spirit. One prophetic implication of the whole event is clarity on how easily the very elect will be deceived. That deception is not going to come simply because the Antichrist figure of prophecy will be so wonderful, but that he will hold a promise that seems to resonate with the whole of the world.

It will come at crisis. The world will look terrible. People in crisis will be looking for a Christ. It's just that the anti Christ is the one they will settle on. WHY. Because it will be so healing, so unifying, so inclusive, so singular in it's focus. People will swoon and men and women will shed tears. Christian leaders will say, how can we deny that this man is sent from GOD?

Christian leaders who will be deceived most easily will be those who are motivated by a pastoral gift. I am saddened and sometimes even shocked by good Christian Leaders who are so easily misled and lack in any solid discernment. Prophets and Apostles are less subject to being deceived than are Pastors and Evangelists. A good teacher will not be easily deceived.

Many willingly drank the kool aid of the Obama Inauguration as something ultra historical. It was unique, but not more historical than any other Inauguration. It was accurately historical in it's uniqueness. President Obama is NOT the Anti Christ of which I speak. He's just a man. But he represents a fore shadow in the adulation and worship of the man of peace to come.

This whole thing, the number of evangelicals who supported Obama, the number of undiscerning Christians who were caught up in all this shows me how easily the Anti Christ Spirit will be able to deceive the elect. I can see them standing and endorsing the "man of peace".

Sometimes our poets speak more clearly to this than I can:

Could be the local priest
You know sometimes Satan, you know he comes as a man of peace.

I write this in response to the many voices who believe that issues of Righteousness and Justice matter less than Unity. Today January 22 is the anniversary of Roe V Wade. The judgement of God is on Christian Leaders who supported Obama ignoring his positions in favor of peace.

Real Leadership is being driven by desired results, not desirable methods. Results are sometimes hard to come and not popular.

I prophetically call on all leaders to reaffirm their position on life in the light of God's word. It doesn't work any more to say, I'm personally against abortion but I'm pro choice. That's like saying, I'm against child abuse, but if you want to abuse your children, who am I to say you shouldn't.

This division is the judgement of God on us all. False unity is an anti christ spirit. It is already among us.

Rory and Wendy's Prayer for President Obama to which I say AMEN

Father, according to Timothy 2, Paul exhorted that "supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and for all that are in authority that we may lead a quiet peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior". In obedience to Your Word, we join together this day, January 20 2009, with our GOD TV family all across the United States of America and join in one heart and one mind in prayer and intercession for our new incoming President Barack Obama. Father we ask this day that as Barack Obama is inaugurated here in Washington DC, that You would look down from Heaven and in Your great mercies upon America look down this day upon President Barack Obama and grant him exceeding wisdom in these crucial days ahead facing him and the new administration.

Oh mighty Father we pray as a united body to You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that You may grant to Barack Obama the spirit of wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of Yourself this day. That the eyes of President Obama's understanding be enlightened that he may know what is the hope of his calling and the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power to us-ward who believe and to himself, according to the working of Your mighty power which you wrought in Christ, when You raised Him from the dead.

Father we pray that the overshadowing fear of the Lord would start to rest upon this new administration. We pray for Your sovereign hand to guide the President and those in his cabinet. We release YOUR purposes, we release YOUR plan, we release YOUR strategies and YOUR wisdom, we release YOUR governance. We pray for visitation in the President's night hours and revelation in his waking hours, that as he enters the pressures and the challenges of office in 2009 that he would be driven to trust in You as his mighty fortress, that he would find refuge and wisdom under Your wings, that he would seek Your face before he seeks man's wisdom and Father, that You would pour out word after word in season upon him from on high.

Father, we thank you that even as Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson ruled in generations before Barack Obama, that You have placed upon President Barack Obama's shoulders a mantle to root out and tear up wickedness, thank you Father, that by Your sovereign mighty hand, You would imbue him with zealousness and righteousness to rout out evil men and sinister schemes. Grant President Barack Obama the courage to rule with justice and the wisdom to rule under God. And Father, as the body of Christ that we commit to You to lift him up faithfully and fervently. That we may consistently petition Heaven on Barack Obama's behalf and petition President Barack Obama on YOUR behalf. Father, we also ask that You minister to him in the night hours regarding the issue of abortion that he may know Your heart and Your mind on these issues so important to Heaven.

And finally we ask divine protection and blessing over his family and upon his physical life. Preserve his life from being cut off prematurely, Father preserve him from sinister schemes and the schemes of wicked men. Thank you that as President of the United States he will run the course that is laid out for him in this time and this season. Thank you for joining with us and our GOD TV teams all across America to pray for President Barack Obama today and in the months and years ahead. God Bless America!

Tomorrow

Today is a big deal to those of us who live in the USA.

What matters is tomorrow.

Hope and a future.

That only comes from the creator of all things, not from a president, congress or a crowd of enthusiasm. It was a crowd that cried "Crucify".

In all eternity this is already over and finished....Barack is no longer President....it's already tomorrow. It's already forever. And while to those of us trapped in time it matters today, tomorrow is what really matters.

I suspect it matters to Barack Obama as well.

Wave of the Prophetic

It's always amazing. There have been two very strong prophetic waves that have come over me in the last couple days as I have been watching bits and pieces of the inauguration of Barack Obama.

I'm not impressed with the crowds, not impressed with celebrities, not impressed with all the press coverage, not impressed with the hoopla and the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on this.

He won, if he wants to spend 3 times the amount of money on the inauguration that George Bush spent, I'm not surprised.

The prophetic wave that I and many have been sensing is that in at least two ways we have a unique opportunity to reach heaven for him and for our country.

One is for his protection. I have been told that there is something strange regarding his term. There is a substantial risk to his safety. He will need supernatural protection to complete his term. Christians must pray, proclaim and prophesy protection for the President. If he is able to complete the first year of his term he will be much closer to completing the rest. The consequence is not about the President, but the division and discord that will result if he is unable to complete his presidency. We need to have President Obama succeed not in policy but in unity of our country.

Second is for his spiritual sensitivity and depth. I have been concerned about the voices he heard over the years, but if at the core the love for Jesus was great, he will come quickly to a crisis point and turn to his creator for understanding. Who he allows to speak into his life, who he allows to counsel him spiritually will have much to do with the decisions he makes and directions he takes. As Christians we can pray that as the crisis and pressure comes he will find strength and hope in Jesus alone. We can ask the father of all to send ministering angels, we can ask Holy Spirit to dwell next to him. He will never be more subject and vulnerable to the influence of Jesus than he will be in the first few days. Help him to understand the curse that stays with trusting Man and not GOD.

Then this morning I saw this accurate prophetic word from Kimberly Daniels. It's exactly the same. That's how the wave of the Spirit moves.

A Prayer for Barack Obama

Father, You instructed us to pray for those in authority, and we lift up Barak Obama. We thank You for the anointing that has abided over the office of the president of the Unites States since the time our forefathers dedicated this country to Jesus Christ. We pray that our new president will abide under that same covering. We extend the common honor to Barak Obama that has been ascribed to all in his position.

God, we thank You for placing favor on the highest office in our land. We ask for Your protection for Obama and his family during the upcoming presidential inauguration. We bind every attack from the Arian Nation, covert Nazi organizations, skinheads or any other racist group that specifically hates and targets people of color. We bind all terrorist assignments from local, national and international conspiracies against our president, government and other political leaders.

We bind the resurrection of the Black Panthers (specifically the New Black Panthers). We break the power of demonic influences from any race retaliation groups in the inner cities of America. We turn the words of their demonic doctrine and declare that black people are not taking over America. We break the power of revenge from these groups against the president because he did not put all black people in his cabinet. We decree that innocent black people will not be terrorized in their neighborhoods by white supremacists, and innocent white people will not be terrorized by black supremacists.

Father, we ask You to reveal Your Son Jesus to our new president as the only way to God. We ask You to cause him to have a Saul-to-Paul experience. Release the pricks and goads upon his heart at an accelerated pace so that his heart will turn to the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Deliver him and let him experience a genuine new birth in his spirit. God, deal with our president about the innocent bloodshed of the unborn and the sanctity of marriage.

Open doors for true prophets to speak to Obama in the White House. We bind the ministry of psychics, the teaching of black liberation theology, and every New Age and secular humanist doctrine away from the White House.

God, put Your angels around the White House. As the president is escorted down the streets of Washington, D.C., during the inauguration, let there be no breaches in security. Let the angels fill in the gaps, in Jesus' name.

Anoint the secret service agents with a double portion during the inauguration and throughout the rest of Obama's tenure. We bind the spirit of the double agent. We come against the Judas spirit in the secret service, CIA, NSA and FBI in the name of Jesus.

Lord, we come against every stronghold that keeps the president from the truth. We break every soul tie and vow that has been established between him and Harvard, secret societies and the illuminati.

We declare that even the cabinet that is around him will bow to Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over Obama's head so that the pressure of the office will not keep him up all night. Every tormenting spirit sent by a witch or warlock is bound in Jesus' name.

Lord, expose the work of every witch, sorcerer, spiritualist or person from the dark side operating through his cabinet members or through anyone else closely associated with him. We block the power of the influence of the Yoruba religion and all other groups of black people who worship their ancestors, in Jesus' name. We put barriers around the Unites States that will bind and block the witchcraft coming from Kenya to influence our president in Jesus' name. Let the power of every dedication of his past be broken, in Jesus' name.

Keep and protect our new president, his wife, his children and his mother-in-law from kidnappings, assassinations, harassments and any other kind of attacks while they are in the White House. Let every hidden secret and dark thing operating behind the scenes be exposed expediently, in Jesus' name. Let every hindering spirit that would oppose the progress of our country be removed—now—in the name of the Lord.

Father, we pray that our president will not sit in the counsel of the ungodly. We bind all alliances that would hinder the peace and protection of our country. Let all the covert plans of the enemy be infiltrated with light. Put people in the path of our president who will tell him the truth and speak the word of the Lord.

We ask You, Lord, to shut the door to every spiritual leader who desires to frequent the White House for fame and glory. Shut the doors and shut their mouths. Let their words hold no weight in the Spirit. Remove every compromising, lukewarm Christian leader who wants to whisper sweet nothings in our president's ear. Send spiritual leaders who have kingdom mind-sets and hearts for the nation.

We break the iron rod of hatred, racism and prejudice in the United States. We apply the blood of Jesus over our nation. We decree that disunity concerning Obama is being uprooted in the church, and the church will find common ground to stand in the gap concerning the matter.

Lord, help us to build up the walls around our nation that were destroyed during the recent presidential election. We pray that our enemies will not launch a sneak attack on us while we are distracted. Wake up the sleeping church. Let us make supplication, prayers and intercession, and give thanks for all men, especially all who are in authority over us, so that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in America, in godliness and honesty (see 1 Tim. 2:1-2).

As we pray, let every ungodly and dishonest thing be exposed and dealt with by the Holy Ghost. Lord, we know that our prayers and supplications concerning this matter are good and acceptable in Your sight because it is Your will for all men to be saved and to know the truth (see vv. 3-4).

We drown every spirit traveling from overseas to wreak havoc. We bind the spirit of havoc and chaos from birthing martial law in the land. We bind spirits that would cause us to lose our constitutional and civil liberties. We declare that the gospel and those who preach it shall have free course in the earth.

We break all agreements between Obama and the nations of the Middle East that would cause America to turn its back on Israel. We decree that a love for Israel will be released in America like never before. Lord, Your Word says that You will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse that nation (see Gen. 12:3). We bless Israel!

Father, we ask You to move over Barack Obama and America. Keep and protect him. Your Word says that the heart of the king is in Your hand, and like a river You turn it wherever You will (see Prov. 21:1). Father, turn his heart in the direction of Your favor, timing and plan.

In closing, Lord, we ask You to supernaturally intervene concerning the laws that will affect the civil liberties of believers. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

On Certitude as a Prophet

How do you know?

How can you be certain?

"Isn't it all relative? Certitude is our enemy, and the world will not ever accept certitude" they say.

OK, I'll bite. Is there anything about which we, prophetic or otherwise, can be absolutely certain?

If so, what does that mean? Of what can we be sure that we can proclaim?

Once you understand and can from the highest rooftops proclaim that truth certain, then you begin to tap into the flow of the prophetic. When it is flowing from the heart of the revealed word of God of that you can be absolutely certain.

Prophecy when it's real never will contradict the word of the living GOD. NEVER. It will confirm, support, use as encouragement, bring clarity, take away the cobwebs.

Create Certitude. Prophesy!

On This Day - A word of new beginnings

Beloved, Moses has passed away. John the Baptist has passed away. Old ways of thinking and living have passed away. Moses is dead and so is the life you had before Me, so move on and cross over the Red Sea of any circumstance in your life(Joshua 1:2). I am with you to make a way where there is no way.

You no longer have to live a life void of power and its demonstration. . A whole new avenue…whole new covenant of intimacy came when the veil was rent in two. Yes, a whole new order…a whole new dominion came and is fulfilled. Beloved, it is fulfilled in you. I have given you all you need. For whatever is born of Me overcomes and you are born again in Me; therefore, you overcome. The victory that has overcome the world is your faith. It is faith that overcomes…it is your faith that overcomes (1 John 5:4).

Time has come to press on…leave the Red Seas behind and listen carefully to all I say. Never get so frustrated you behave like Moses and strike the rock after I have told you to speak to it. After all, you are made for the promised land…and I am always near to give you fresh revelation so fear not and press ON!…

“Moses My servant is dead. So now arise [take his place], go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, the Israelites” (Joshua 1:2 Amplified)

Seeing Man as God Does

This morning I was impressed to consider how God sees a man. He gives us clues in scripture.
  • Not on the outside but on the inside.
  • Considers the heart.
  • Foolish to confound the wise.
There are many ways to consider God's view of a man from what he says. What seems to be lacking in our consideration of others as qualification for leadership is the God factor. King David wasn't even on the Radar Screen of those who knew him best when the Prophet came to anoint a King. Yet God chose the man after his heart.

What does that mean? How does that manifest?

The word impressed on me is, consider the heart first, consider the inside, don't let "foolish" trip you up, worldly success can be a trap that will blind you to whomever God would choose.

There are a lot of Sauls placed where Davids were supposed to be.

God would say, "Be discerning, my ways are NOT your ways, I chose a stutterer to speak to Pharaoh, I will choose whom I will choose. If you choose differently from me, I will not be able to provide what you need thru that person. Look to the inward man first."

The Destiny Changing Power of the Prophetic Word

It was 1989. We were in a small upstairs apartment in a little town in Germany. Our friends who we had met while itinerating in the USA had begun a magazine to distribute to women in Europe.

We had gone to visit them. We really love them. While sitting in that tiny apartment the conversation drifted off to the effectiveness of the magazine, the finances, the lack of distribution and the level of discouragement they were feeling right then.

They had other ministry opportunities. If they quit the magazine it wouldn't be the end of the world. They would be still working as missionaries to this day. The magazine had become a burden they didn't know if they could or should continue to carry.

While sitting there, listening, a holy boldness came on me. I began to prophesy. I remember it well. I won't rehearse it here. At the time they were sending out a few thousand magazines. And money wasn't coming.

After some time, praying and prophecy broke the back of discouragement. We might not have been the only ones. But from that time, with a new found confidence in the purposes of God and with a great deal of hard work today Lydia Magazine is a premier publication thru all of Europe written in several languages. The readership is huge.

That day in 1989 was one of the early times when I became aware of the power of the prophetic to release destinies in ministry.

I hope till the day I die that God will continue to use me in that way.

So, when I am questioned, when concerns are raised, when people wonder why I would prophesy in certain places where it's not always welcomed, why I continue to push for the goodness of God's best for people and Churches even when they apparently don't seem to want it, I have seen the promised land. I have seen what a word of prophecy will do in releasing destiny, I have seen the back of discouragement broken, I have seen release thru the prophetic word. And I have seen it when God has chosen to use me to break the devil's back.

Now, I ask you, if you knew God had invested in YOU that Gift, the Ministry of the Prophet, The Office, would you pipe down, stay silent, be quiet, don't rattle cages, don't disturb people, don't try to change things???

Would you?

If you had seen what I have seen, even in the last year, would you sit quietly by and watch ministry and ministers flounder without hope alone in the world? Or would you speak the word and watch God open the heavens?

When God has invested in you words to bring? Would you conform or confirm the word of the Lord?

You would be like Jeremiah, and if you are prophetic you would be as I am:
And if I say, I will not keep him in mind, I will not say another word in his name; then it is in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am tired of keeping myself in, I am not able to do it. Jeremiah 20:9
So I would say to the Prophets, PROPHESY in the name of the Lord of Hosts.

Let's change the destiny of our land. According to George Barna it's headed for HELL!

Paul said to the Romans in 10:8-10

8 In fact, it says,

“The message is very close at hand;
it is on your lips and in your heart.”[a]

And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. NLT

That's MORE than about just getting to HEAVEN. Saved means delivered, preserved and many other things.

For what? To make sure the Pew stays warm?

No -- FOR DESTINY!

No Prophet was Ever a Member of the Sanhedrin

I have been impressed of the Lord to answer a question regarding the role a Prophet should properly play in the Church where he is called (all he's in this are HE OR SHE).
To whom does a prophet belong, to whom is he responsible, of what should he be a member, to whom should he be submitted, by whom was he called.

The danger is some prophetic people see themselves responsible only to God. In a way that is good theology. We who are called to be prophets of God first and foremost are responsible to be careful and accurate in what we say when we utter the Phrase, "thus saith the Lord".

It must be correct or we as prophets stand in terror of judgment, not from men, from the creator of all things. I am very careful. I know what happens if I violate that trust.

So, as a prophet, to whom am I responsible? To God. But there is more.

To whom do I belong? To the ministry entrusted to me as a Prophet. I am a member of the CHURCH UNIVERSAL and a prophet called to the midst of her crying in the wilderness, comfort ye, comfort ye, my People. Make the way straight.

To whom am I submitted? First to God and second to the Apostle, the Leader of the house, (Church or Churches) to which I have been called. I am submitted in that the vision that Apostle is commissioned to carrying out must be reinforced, strengthened by the Prophetic gift I bring from the Lord.

Who called me to come to a place and be a prophet to dwell in the midst of them? First, it is the God of all Heaven that calls and directs. His calls are without repentance. Second, he directs the prophet in his call to minister where He or She is called to. If that house receives him as a prophet, they get the prophet's reward. Matthew 10 is a chapter where Jesus sends his called and appointed ministers to the world. They are to go to a place and dwell with them. If they are received, they are to reward the people that receive them, If they are rejected, they are to shake the dust off and leave. The whole chapter is a clear picture of various ways Houses (churches) deal with and receive the gift of the Prophet in their midst. At the end Jesus says:

Matthew 10: 40-41
40 "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me.
41 Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward.
He who receives a prophet, receives Jesus and thru Jesus receives the Father.

That seems pretty clear to me why the Sanhedrin didn't have Prophets in their midst. They can't control or direct what a prophet might say or do. There is not structure. The desire to put God in a Box is violated because the Prophet is there as a gift. So, therefore they couldn't tolerate them. Even when John the Baptist showed up and they went out to see him, they were warned.

A prophet must do what he or she is called to do:
7As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' 8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. 9Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; 10take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep.

11"Whatever town or village you enter, search for some worthy person there and stay at his house until you leave. 12As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. 15I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. 16I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

In my ministry as a Prophet, I have never taken a DIME in the ministry. I have never asked for anything other than to be heard and to minister encouragement to those who need it. Yet, despite that, there are some houses in which the prophet will not be welcomed or word's listened to. Look at what that means to that house (church). (in red above)

The concern modern Sanhedrins have is they see the innocence yet shrewdness as agenda building. As subversion. As control. Even more so when in fact the prophet comes with good news and healing. For that reason, a prophet must only be received in a House. He must not become entangled in that house. He must be submitted to the Head (apostle) of the house. In Corinthians 12:28 it teaches that the Prophet is secondary to the Apostle. It is to the Apostle that the prophet prophecies. Perhaps if a Nicodemus comes from the Sanhedrin will a Prophet be allowed to prophesy to him. As the Word of God clearly says again and again, the Church House is built on the solid foundation of the Apostle of the house and the Prophet who stands with him in building up the house fulfilling the destiny God opens.

For this reason, a prophet must be called of God to a House and minister there as long as he is received. If he ceases to be received he must leave. His ministry is a call of God and like any Minister he must be subject to the Upward Call of God alone.

Membership in any organization as a minister called of God to a fellowship would be to place the call to membership above the Call of God. This is not the Pattern we see in the Church in the Book of Acts. Fellowships had prophets among them. They were not the Apostle leaders of the churches. They stood with and encouraged (and sometimes warned) the Apostle leader they were with. They never allowed the opinions, theologies and politics of the fellowship to influence them. They heard only from God. And then said what God said.

If a Prophet placed himself to be accountable to a committee regarding what he does or does not pronounce, he is like the prophets in the courts of Ahab who told Ahab what he wanted to hear. One of Ahab's Board members comes to the Prophet of God. He tells him what to say: 1 Kings 22:
13 The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, "Look, as one man the other prophets are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favorably."

14 But Micaiah said, "As surely as the LORD lives, I can tell him only what the LORD tells me."

It wasn't good news. The Board wasn't happy. They wished at that time the Prophet would have kept quiet. The problem was it was all true. That goes on today.

Like the Prophets Jeremiah condemned in verse 5:31:
"The prophets prophesy lies, The priests rule by their own authority, And my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?"



This puts the judgment not only on lying prophets but the ones that flock after them. A false prophet that speaks upon his own authority appeals to the fools and it is tragic that there are so many fools for the prophets to lie to. They speak what the people want to hear and the majority of the church flock to them. What do they speak? That which is Politically Correct. Pleasant. Without ruffling feathers. It's when a Prophet has something to lose or gain that he or she becomes inert.

Jeremiah by the Spirit of God was in constant battle with those who were "Court Prophets".
The message of the false prophets is consistently in opposition to that of Jeremiah. In the early stages of his ministry (chs 1-6) Jeremiah preached repentance and called the people back to their covenant relationship to God. Jeremiah accused the people of worshipping Baal, (the Canaanite fertility god) in place of Yahweh whom they had forgotten (2:5-8). The prophets were accused of prophesying by Baal (v8). They should have been guided by God’s Spirit (rûah) instead they were full of wind (rûah) (5:13). They were motivated by gain and consequently were full of covetousness and falsehood (6:13). They hypocritically denied this iniquity (2:23) suggesting that the sin was not an open display but in the secret place of the heart (Ez 8:8-12). They had forsaken Yahweh and had called trees and stones their father (2:27). Jeremiah, however, called the people back into covenant relationship with God (4:1). They promised the people peace resulting in a superficial palliative (6:14) but Jeremiah warned of the possibility of judgement (4:5-7). Consequently the people and the priests supported the false prophets leaving Jeremiah isolated (5:30-31). God’s true prophet predicted the false prophet’s fate: they would be confounded (4:9); stripped of all their possessions (6:12); cast down and punished (6:15). This would occur as a result of invasion from the north ending in disaster and destruction for the whole nation (6:1).

I must not place the gift of the Prophetic to be held to account other than by God then by the Apostle Leader to which I have been called to encourage. In the case of the Apostle leader I am called to, if he asks me to do anything, I will do it. He understands that. I am submitted to his calling. If I am going to help do my part to build the Church, I must do my part as part of that firm foundation. Never wavering. As part of the foundation the apostles and prophets must be hidden, underneath, holding up the saints that will be seen, they are the true edifice. Apostles and prophets are hidden just below the sight line standing on the shoulders of the ONE TRUE FOUNDATION. Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus is the perfect called Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Shepherd, Evangelist. King of Kings. Lord of Lords. Our all in all.

The Sanhedrin hated that about the Perfect Prophet Jesus. They even asked him to become subject. By What Authority do you do these things? Matthew 21:23; Mark 11:28 & Luke 20:2 When he didn't fit in the box, they crucified him.

Let us pray that the Church under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit will do better than the Sanhedrin did. Otherwise, God will remove his Candlestick from the Church (which in part is the Prophet), hang Ichabod over the door, and you see what Jesus said in red above.

15I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. (HOUSE or CHURCH)

Jesus Says, "Did you Hear what I Said"

Therefore, as you go, disciple people in all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I've commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

He is asking:
  • Are you Disciplining People as you go
  • Are you getting them Baptized, immersed, committed, dedicated
  • Are you teaching them to obey everything
  • Are they then following what I have told you to do, as I commanded
  • And, are you remembering and reminding others that

I am with you until the end of the age....

Hear me and do what I have told you to do.

Why Nominal Christianity will Lead you Nowhere

For the first time in my life, zeal was not enough. If anything, it had turned on me and become my enemy—condemning me for my spiritual failures. My human zeal was not able to deliver my heart. My increasing anger toward God and people added to my burden of guilt feelings. I was almost twenty years old by this time—and was a ball of frustration on the inside because I viewed myself as a spiritual failure.
Most people who are unhappy or frustrated in their spiritual lives have studied, are sincere, loyal, trying as hard as they can but are unwilling to come to HIM. He, Jesus, is the center, the focus of all. He is creator God.

As they do this they will find the way to the Father.

Jesus said this.

People in nominal religion are too God focused and not able to experience the living fellowship of the Holy Spirit in their lives or the visible Father in Jesus.

You can't get there from here. I know that most people that read this are already there, but perhaps this will help you prophetically speak to the real problem in spiritual frustration.

Shut Out Voices

One challenge as a prophet I run into a great deal is good Christians who shut out any voices other than their own prejudices.

I listened to Kim Clement last night. As I thought about the broadcast I thought, many will shut out the voice of God from a Prophet because it doesn't line up with their worldly opinions. If he or she says something that they assess as not lining up with exactly what they believe they close up their ears. They expect God to line up with them.

God seldom does.

And, they lose.

Ignore the Prophets and the Drought will STILL Come

I Kings 16:

27 As for the other events of Omri's reign, what he did and the things he achieved, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel? 28 Omri rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria. And Ahab his son succeeded him as king.

Ahab Becomes King of Israel

29 In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab son of Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria over Israel twenty-two years. 30 Ahab son of Omri did more evil in the eyes of the LORD than any of those before him. 31 He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and began to serve Baal and worship him. 32 He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal that he built in Samaria. 33 Ahab also made an Asherah pole and did more to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger than did all the kings of Israel before him.

34 In Ahab's time, Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. He laid its foundations at the cost of his firstborn son Abiram, and he set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, in accordance with the word of the LORD spoken by Joshua son of Nun.

Elijah Fed by Ravens

1 Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe [a] in Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word."

2 Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah: 3 "Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there."

5 So he did what the LORD had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

The Widow at Zarephath

7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the LORD came to him: 9 "Go at once to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food." 10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, "Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?" 11 As she was going to get it, he called, "And bring me, please, a piece of bread."

12 "As surely as the LORD your God lives," she replied, "I don't have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die."

13 Elijah said to her, "Don't be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land.' "

15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.


If you get this story, you will see that evidently Elijah as a Prophet had been speaking to the King about his behavior. Building false Altars, Rebuilding Jericho, Evident Child Sacrifice and the worship of a false god, Baal. Elijah had condemned this. He had caused Ahab trouble. But Ahab ignored him. He went on in his bullheaded rebellion. Finally, God had enough. He pronounces a drought on Israel. Now, the King was the one who ignored him. Ignoring Elijah didn't exempt Ahab from drought nor those who were in his care as King. They all suffered. This is happening today in the Church of Jesus.

I don't think the Church of Jesus in the 21st century gets it yet. At least not the church that should. I understand if a Methodist or Baptist church somewhere doesn't. It's OK.

But when a church that supposedly believes the whole Bible, full Gospel, Genesis to Maps, one that says we embrace all the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, when they don't get it, that's a problem.

The role and function of the prophet in their midst is accomplish his ministry purpose among them:

* Encourage
* Admonish
* Illustrate
* Clarify
* Apply
* Assure
* Warn
* Correct
* Communicate Vision
* Tear Down
* Build Up
* Hold Promise
* Define Action
* Reveal the Future
* Use imagery for illustration
* Confront
* Declare


In developing an understanding of the role of a prophet among the gatekeepers in scripture I have come to see a principle. He says, do this and prosper or don't and suffer. The gatekeepers in most cases were kings and rulers.

In the church of Jesus there is a leadership order. If the leadership of a church makes a decision to NOT hear what the prophetic is saying, or worse to hear it and go against it, they are essentially placing duct tape over the mouth of God. They are also condemning themselves and the congregations they lead to go thru the drought without warning or assurance. They are no better off than the world. Alone without God.

The reality is a Prophet only has the tools available to him. God made it work that way. He can only proclaim. The rest is up to leadership. This is why I do NOT think it is in order for a Prophet to be the leader of a Church. Just as I do not think that a Ministry calling (not a title alone) of a Pastor should lead a Church. Nor an Evangelist. Sometimes a teacher can. But, God's purposes is for those with Apostolic callings in ministry to be leaders. Then they must have a hearing ear to the Prophets around them and then use that to release the Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.

There are lots of illustrations of what a prophet does. What is most clear from scripture is the Prophetic words and actions of Elijah. More tomorrow on that. Elijah only deals directly with false prophets. That's his only call. Everything and everyone else must be dealt with by the people God places in power. That is the problem. People who are placed in authority by God won't hear from God thru his prophets. They don't take the action required. And drought comes. Prosperity is lost in their ministry.

There is a realigning and a continuation of the changing of the guard. All things are made new--a new year--and a new start for many people and ministries. A chance to wipe the slate clean and start over again. No need to plow and look back, just keep tending the soil and you will reap a harvest!

New mantles
New mantles are dropping down from Elijah's chariot. If you are there (in the Lord's Presence) when your mantle falls, then you will receive a double measure. Be persistent and vigilant. Keep oil in your lamps!

New Giftings
A greater reliance on the Holy Spirit is required now to fulfill the kingdom mandates. Spiritual giftings will be more necessary in the area of evangelism and discipleship. There is an acceleration in the spiritual realm. The bride can only be prepared for the wedding by the nature of Jesus Christ, and His nature is found in the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit. A wave of one billion youth is being ushered in and they need the giftings of the Spirit. In this way they will know that we serve the true and living God and they will be encouraged. Youth evangelists will be given a greater place of leadership in the body and as they are faithful in little they will be given more. A new season of dreams and visions is given to us. We are called to see with His eyes and hear with His ears.

A Spirit of Worship Released
A Spirit of worship is released to the church. "Enter His courts with praise, and into His gates with thanksgiving." A new joy is found by whoever enters in. The joy of the Lord is your strength. This will carry many through the economic struggle and they will overcome.

Behold, I give you a new name...
Many of the rewards spoken of in Revelation 3 will be released early. Many will receive "a new stone...a new name." These are given to help us bear much fruit and they are to be treasured as part of Christ's nature, something which is good and useful. When we are sure of our identity in Christ, then we are empowered to serve Him. The Lord is saying, "Receive your identity now!"

Spiritual Scientists
I saw a group of "spiritual scientists" in long white lab coats. They were experimenting with their spiritual gifts such as word of knowledge and healing. They were mixing solutions in test tubes and were finding successful antidotes. The message here is that it isn't wrong to "experiment with God" and share what we believe to be genuine words from the Lord, even if we're not totally certain as to the accuracy. He wants us to find "perfect solutions" to people's problems however it may take some "imperfect trials." This is how we learn to hear the Lord's voice and operate in divine healing, through trial and error. John Wimber laid hands on fifty people before anyone was healed.

Bowels of Compassion
I saw the body of Christ learning to love from the heart rather than from their head. I saw people exchanging true love rather than mental assent. As Jesus said, "Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living waters." Many will learn how to walk in the Spirit to a greater degree. This will create more genuine relationships and then miracles will occur. This will be a corporate activation of walking in the Spirit.

Inner Healing
The ministry of inner healing will be vindicated this year. People who were previously demon-possessed will be emotionally healed giving their testimonies and vindicating all the false accusation against inner healing ministries. They will receive a greater acceptance so they can fulfill the mandate of healing the bride so that she is no longer walking on crutches but rather carrying a sword in her hand.

China
China will play a greater part in world evangelism and will send out hundreds of missionaries even to America.

Europe
"Thus says the Lord, Your labors are not in vain. I have anointed you and I take pleasure in your prayers and you are not contending in vain. You will see the fruit of your labors come to pass in this generation."

South America
I saw revival fires all over South America especially in Venezuela, Columbia, Argentina, and Brazil.

Israel
Pray for continued angelic protection over Israel and Jerusalem. Pray for the Spirit of truth to prevail, that the true Messiah would be revealed. That intercessors and evangelists would be commissioned and empowered, that ministries would be funded and protected. The apostle Paul prophesied, "All Israel shall be saved."

The Economy
We are forced to trust in God like never before, which is a good thing! These trying times will produce a close-knit family. People will find out who their true friends are. Many pastors who are hoarding will lose their flocks and the sheep will scatter. Many pastors are being asked, "Why do you serve Me?" The good shepherd will lay down his life for the sheep. What the enemy has meant for evil will only result in a unity like we have never known before. A unity that will be blessed with love, joy, and peace! A unity that will nurture revival in many cities and nations. Churches and people who would never have fellowship will now embrace each other and minister together. The lost will see this love and be drawn to it. Awesome times of harvest are ahead. Glory and power are being released!

Christ in us, the Hope of Glory
I saw a man kneeling in prayer and Jesus was behind him observing. Then he walked up and transposed Himself inside the man and began praying through Him. The man's prayers became anointed and impassioned, filled with conviction, tears, and joy. Jesus wants us to allow Him to live and move and have His being inside us through contemplative prayer and worship. The prayer movement will pick up on this and pursue His Presence prior to His purpose. In some circumstances, they will see fruit right away and rejoice. There will be great inroads in prayer and great joy. They will see years and years of intercession "come to fruition" before their eyes. And they will carry the Presence with them...

PS: I have not consulted with any other prophesies for this year in compiling this. I'm actually glad I never had time to look them up! There is only one word from Crisis Response Int'l I would like to agree with, that we should continue to pray for mercy over the city of San Francisco, that it would not be devastated with earthquake or tsunami. "Mercy rejoices over judgement." This is more urgent than most of us know or want to believe.

Here's the nasty twist. If the vessel is empty there's nothing to pour out, even if it's broken.

And that is the problem.....in ministry today......empty vessels leading.....oil less lamps......dry cisterns.... clouds without rain......parched wineskins

You only get out what you put in. And that by the Power of the Holy Spirit ALONE.

That's nasty. Particularly if you try to do it without The Holy Spirit's Love anointing filling you with love for Jesus and for others. You can't pour out what isn't in there. Preaching, teaching, leading worship and prophesying are all clanging gongs without HIM filling you to overflow.

Obadiah Meets Elijah

1Now it happened after many days that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, "Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the face of the earth."
God will send a prophet to show the way out of trouble... but there is a catch.
2So Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. Now the famine was severe in Samaria.

3Ahab called Obadiah who was over the household (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly);
There are many who are protected when there is famine in the land...
4for when Jezebel destroyed the prophets of the LORD, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave, and provided them with bread and water.)
Distorting true worship and shutting up the prophets is what the demon Jezebel always does.
5Then Ahab said to Obadiah, "Go through the land to all the springs of water and to all the valleys; perhaps we will find grass and keep the horses and mules alive, and not have to kill some of the cattle."

6So they divided the land between them to survey it; Ahab went one way by himself and Obadiah went another way by himself.

7Now as Obadiah was on the way, behold, Elijah met him, and he recognized him and fell on his face and said, "Is this you, Elijah my master?"
The Prophet is recognized by those with eyes to see and ears to hear.
8He said to him, "It is I. Go, say to your master, 'Behold, Elijah is here.'"
A demand is put on those who see and hear the Prophetic
9He said, "What sin have I committed, that you are giving your servant into the hand of Ahab to put me to death?

10"As the LORD your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my master has not sent to search for you; and when they said, 'He is not here,' he made the kingdom or nation swear that they could not find you.

11"And now you are saying, 'Go, say to your master, "Behold, Elijah is here."'

12"It will come about when I leave you that the Spirit of the LORD will carry you where I do not know; so when I come and tell Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, although I your servant have feared the LORD from my youth.

13"Has it not been told to my master what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the LORD, that I hid a hundred prophets of the LORD by fifties in a cave, and provided them with bread and water?

14"And now you are saying, 'Go, say to your master, "Behold, Elijah is here"'; he will then kill me."
Fear even for the righteous is always a restrainer of the call of God on their lives
15Elijah said, "As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today."

16So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.
Obadiah was not Killed... Fear was all that died that day.
17When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, "Is this you, you troubler of Israel?"
Prophets are always looked upon as trouble because they bring pressure for true worship of the true God. Anything else that tries to reign is seen as trouble making by the spirit demon of Jezebel.
18He said, "I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house have, because you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and you have followed the Baals.

The Baals are alive and well in churches around the world today. It is estimated that there are some 400,000 congregations big and small around the world. In my estimation by the spirit it is a minority that have successfully torn down the altar to Baal in the congregation. It's time for fire from heaven to burn up the true sacrifice and humiliate the Jezebel demon. She's everywhere. There is only one cure for Jezebel, to cast her out, to throw her down and to let the dogs consume her. This is not about a person, this is about the demon. She cannot be allowed to abide or be tolerated at any level.

I saw a stump of a large tree trunk and under the earth a shallow root system. I knew there was a forest of stumps. The root system started to shrivel up as the puddles in the surrounding area dried up and then I saw the roots pruned closely to the tap root which was very immature for the size of the tree. I sensed an oak tree. I saw then the glory of the Lord descend on the stump. The tap root shot down into the ground with a new vigor and found an underground water source, a new source, a large source, an abundant source. And as the tap root began to feed the tree new sprouts and new branches were formed on the tree. New growth was found on the tree.


And I heard the Lord say,
Your structures of the past season have been cut down and the usually and easily accessed sources of provision, even nourishment have dried up and I have pruned those sucker roots back to the tree. Dig deep! Dig deep! Dig deep! I will give you strength in the next season for the Sun of Righteousness shall shine upon you and the Lord of Glory will come upon you and give you new strength to dig deeper in Me and find the new source, an artesian well of revival, my well of revival. And I shall revive that which was cut down and it shall have a new source, an endless source for I am your source and I will never dry up! Dig deep for your healing, Dig deeper in me for I AM your source.

Sprouts Trees and Roots

Job 14:7

“For there is hope for a tree,
If it is cut down, that it will sprout again,
And that its tender shoots will not cease.

For those of you wondering what an artesian well is… WELL…

An artesian well allows water to rise to the surface that has traveled through porous rock from a higher elevation. This pumpless well seems to defy gravity because the pressure that builds up between layers of rock gets relieved when the water finds a path to the open air. For nearly a thousand years, people have drilled wells to drink such cold, filtered water that doesn’t need to be hauled up from the depths.

Seems the Lord wants to give us a hefty drink in this next season :D

Philistine CNN Reports and the Throne

In church tonite I had a revelation. During the wonderful worship I got a word from the Lord. Here it is:

It's all a matter of perspective. On the day that David Slew Goliath it was bad news on Philistine CNN. The troops were placed in chains as slaves. Israel was victorious.

It all looked really bad from Philistine CNN reporters viewpoint. Keith Olberman of MSNBC Phillistia was pretty bummed out about the head separation of Goliath.

Yet from the throne, from the covenant side of the news things looked pretty good. God was a victor. God was doing what he did best. He used his anointing and supernatural character to accomplish his ends.

That's the way it is today. From the world's standpoint things look pretty bad. But from the throne side it's different. The destruction of a corrupt evil parasitic economy is bad news in the sight of man, Good news in the sight of God.

I'll go with GOD on this one. CNN Heaven is pretty good when you look at what is happening all around us. God is doing a cleansing and a purifying we needed badly.
