I heard the Lord ask me.. Are you thankful for the shower?

Yesterday as I stood in the shower I heard the Lord say...

Are you thankful for this hot shower?
You have to know, I didn't always have a shower. In years past we didn't enjoy that luxury. Nor an indoor toilet. I said yes Lord, I am thankful for this shower, cold or hot. It's wonderful.

Then he asked:
  • Are you thankful for heat in your home....
  • Are you thankful for having clothes to wear
  • Are you thankful for food to eat
  • Are you thankful for staying dry in the rain
  • Are you thankful for safety from riot
  • Are you thankful for easy transportation...auto, bus, air, rail

The thing that makes this poignant for me, I wonder if the reason he asked me .... is I should be thankful for today...tomorrow is uncertain.

I am thankful...I take nothing of comfort for granted. Neither should any of us....

Tomorrow it might not be there.

What Happens if you are WRONG about the END TIMES??

I have many many good friends in the body of Christ with all kinds of opinions about the end of the age, the end times, the rapture, Left Behind, the anti christ, tribulation, millennial, A-Millennial, Matthew 24, 72AD and and and and....it goes on forever.

This morning as I wandered thru lots of reading, paged by a couple TV programs (Hagee) proclaiming the "Truth" it hit me.

What if, just what if, we are all wrong about the end times? That those who are living in such absolute certitude about these things are just in error. What difference does it make, if any?

How should we live if everything we believe is wrong? I let you insert your particular brand of end times theology here. What if that is absolutely incorrect? Or half right.

Does it, should it, must it, make any difference to your life, your family, your work, your ministry, your involvement, your trust in Jesus.

IF the answer is, YES, my end times theology has great influence on how I live my life today, then the question that must be asked is, WHY?

If we are to live is Christ and to die is Gain, then what's the point. There's nothing your worrying about end times will make a whit of difference at all.

  • We are supposed to win souls, even if the end isn't for trillions of years.
  • We are supposed to cooperate with God to establish the Kingdom
  • We are supposed to love one another
  • We are supposed to Love God with all our hearts minds and souls and our neighbor as ourselves.
  • We are supposed to live each day as if it's our last, redeeming the time for the days are evil
  • We are supposed to carry out the good works for which we were created
  • We are supposed to be Holy as HE is Holy
  • We are supposed to Gather together
  • We are supposed to be Salt and Light in a tasteless and dark place
  • We are supposed to be strong and courageous. Fearing not. Bold as a lion.

What part of any end time theology is supported over any other in this partial list of who we are to be in Christ? NOW, to be fair, some end time theologies have fear at their heart. People living in their basements fearing the end, waiting for the rapture, taking bets on when it's going to be like some eschatological horse race.

Why don't we just set about doing what Father placed us here to do, be aggressive in that and from that become who we were purposed to be here on earth?

Any theology of the end times that inhibits who you were created to be is false.

To be fair, there are great comforts, blessed hopes, wonderful thoughts in much of what people believe. Would I love to ride my white horse along side Jesus descending from the clouds. SURE. Would I love to be taken out when the hard times come, you bet. Would I like to avoid tribulation? Sure. Would being raptured out just as the next credit card collector calls be a good play? YEP. BUT!!!

IF those things do or do not happen, what does that have to do with how I live my life today?

Jesus says, Matthew 6:33 " seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.


Why does so much of what is taught in today's end time arguments seem to go against what Jesus said. Don't worry about tomorrow. Live today. That is the word of the Lord.

Whatever happens in the end, you were probably wrong about most of it, that goes for Every Single end time theory. Too much energy is wasted on these foolish speculations.

Carry a Full Load of Holy Ghost Armament

This is more a teaching than a Prophetic Word, it is prophetic in that it's important to the heart of God that those called by his name grasp all of the "Spirituals" available to them.

There is a well accepted teaching in the body of Christ that the Holy Spirit gives the gifts of 1 Corinthians 12 to people specifically and that is their GIFT. Sometimes to the exclusion of other ones. That is not the whole truth.

People have various gifting, even beyond those listed in Chapter 12. The problem is people think this is to be one in exclusion to all others. That simply isn't so. People are gifted to one extent or another in ALL the gifts.

This is not about the Office Gifts of Ephesians 4. That's another discussion, not part of this teaching. Office gifts are very different. This is about the nine spiritual gifts listed in chapter 12:
  1. Words of Wisdom,
  2. Words of Knowledge,
  3. Supernatural Faith,
  4. Effectiveness in Ministering Healing,
  5. Effectiveness in Manifestation of the Miraculous,
  6. Prophetic Utterance,
  7. Discernment of a Spirit,
  8. Speaking out in a Public Tongue,
  9. Interpretation of a Public Tongue utterance.

All 12 of those are present at any time in any holy Spirit empowered believer. Maybe Dormant. Maybe Latent. But all fully present at all times. Some people are more comfortable in moving out in one or the other gift because of activity and familiarity, but all of them are present at any time.

1 Corinthians 12

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
God is in all of them, the Spirit distributes them as His purposes arises.

11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. 12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
So if YOU are part of the Body of Christ, if you are baptized by one Spirit, then you are spiritually gifted to be what God is calling you to be. Not all at all times, but some at some times and as God needs you to be when there is a need.

IF you read the enumeration of the gifts once more:

8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
Here's the rub. IF we buy into the idea that people have only one or two of the Spiritual gifts and there is a place and time where someone needs healing, God will empower whomever is ready to minister healing and is on the spot. We are not to be waiting till a Healing Gifted Person shows up. WE are His body. IF someone needs a word of Knowledge or a prophetic encouraging word, God will flow in and thru whomever is ready on the spot to provide. We are all latent gifted saints. God will use whomever is willing and available.

Some people may only be used ONCE in a word of knowledge, healing, discerning of Spirits, but God will do so to accomplish his purposes. Some people flow in certain gifts all the time. But that doesn't mean that all the other aren't in there.

All the gifts are present in all Spirit Filled believers as potential at all times.

That's why the devil hates you so much. You are a Holy Ghost fully loaded believer.

OK Holy Ghost Believer....Lock and Load. Take on the enemy with all the nine gifts present as bullets in your spiritual armament.

Big Issues - Bigger God - Word of the Lord

I am lambasted constantly by fears generated by media, Christians, conspiracy theorists, faux scientists, talking heads on radio and TV, so called experts and worst of all politicians. The don't ever let a crisis go to waste crowd.

The problem is the problems. They all seem to be real. All seem to have importance. Any apologist for them can and will be able to make them seem to be the biggest problem of our hour. Just wander around the radio dial for a while and you will soon be able to find a thousand opinions. Progressive talk, Conservative Talk, Erudite talk, NPR talk, Ethnic Talk, Christian Talk and late night talk. They all have agendas. IF you listen very long you can become convinced there is NO HOPE. They are all talking up their particular brand of hopelessness. It sells. People listen.

The Economy, The Government, Radical Islam, Global Warming, Nibaru, Dirty Bombs, Food Shortages, Oil Shortage, and EMP storm shutting off all power for months, Collapsing Markets, depression, Racial problems, Riots, Wars, Rumors of Wars.

The list is much much much longer than this.

When in a "conversation" earlier today I was thinking about all this, I was faced with ranking what is larger. Which are most important. Which are critical. The reality is they are all in one form or another critical. Equal in importance in one or the other realm.

I asked the Lord in the middle of all this, What is important, what SHOULD we be paying attention to? I heard him say in the back of my head,
"I am the God, bigger than all your problems or any weapon formed. I am the God who created all the universe and laugh at those who scoff at MY power. The issues you see that look so BIG to you are but a vapor in time. I was, I am and I ever will be. If you hold to ME, all these problems do or do not manifest themselves in your life will pale in significance to the Revelation of ME I will Give You. I expect you to stand for righteousness more than you stand against evil all around. Do not be deceived I am NEVER mocked. I have placed you in exactly this time and in this place to be MY hands, Heart and Ears to the world. Speak truth. Sanction nothing unholy. Be watchful. Use my Word as your guide and plumb line. I am the WAY the TRUTH and the LIGHT as I shine thru YOU. No one will by any means harm you. Do not fear the one who can destroy your body, fear instead he who would destroy your eternal soul. The enemies you see before you will all be defeated. Those things that are NOT of me will be destroyed in fire. You live in Time, I live in eternity. You will live in eternity and will see this all with perfect knowledge then. Stand therefore. You are my presence on the earth as my Spirit lives and manifests thru your life. Say what I say. Do what you see me do. Be what I have called you to and in that last day I will say not only, Well done good and faithful, but this is my beloved in whom I am well pleased".

David Wilkerson: ARE WE PUTTING LIMITS ON GOD’S POWER AND HIS PROMISES?

I believe we limit God today with our doubts and unbelief. Scripture says of Israel, “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the holy One of Israel” (Psalm 78:41). Israel turned away from God in unbelief.

We trust God in most areas of our lives, but our faith always has boundaries and limits. We have at least one small area that we block off where we don’t really believe God is going to undertake for us. For example, many readers have prayed for the healing of my wife Gwen. But often, when it comes to healing for their own husband, wife, son or daughter, they limit God.

I limit God most in the area of healing. I have prayed for physical healing for many and I have seen God perform miracle after miracle. But when it comes to my own body, I limit God. I am afraid to let him be God to me. I douse myself with medicine or run to a doctor before I ever pray for myself. I’m not saying it’s wrong to go to the doctor. But sometimes I fit the description of those who “sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians” (2 Chronicles 16:12).

I ask you: Do you pray for God to bring down walls in China or Cuba—but when it comes to the salvation of your own family, you don’t have an ounce of faith? You think, “God must not want to do this. My loved one is such a tough case. God doesn’t seem to be hearing me in this matter.” If this is true, you are not seeing him as God. You are ignorant of his ways. God’s desire is to “do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20).

God told me, “David, you’ve tied my hands; you’ve shackled me. How can I heal you when you don’t really believe I will? Your doubt hinders me from being God to you. I tell you, you don’t know me unless you know that I am more willing to give than you are to receive.”

Israel murmured continually, “Can God…? Sure, he made a way for us through the Red Sea, but can he give us bread?” God gave them bread. In fact, he spread a table for them in the wilderness. “But can he give us water?” they asked. He gave them water from a rock. “But can he give us meat?” He gave them meat from the sky. “But can he deliver us from our enemies?”

Time after time God provided and delivered in every area. Yet the people spent forty years saying, “Can God…? Can God…?

Beloved, we ought to be saying, “God can! God can!” He did—and he will! God can and will do all that we ask and believe him for.

I See the "Grapes" Not the "Giants"

Dear Warriors,

The Beatitudes have influenced me in a huge way, being the stepping-stone to the Sermon on the Mount. Love your kinsmen, that's easy, but He said, "Love your enemies." Now we're talking! It's literally impossible without a special grace. Forgiving your enemies is difficult enough. But the idea of our enemies being stepping-stones to our destiny, and forgiveness being the action that moves us there, became apparent to me as I considered that these enemies were becoming my bedfellows. So, do we see the dynamic in the demonic?

After 33 years of consecrated service to the Jehovah of ages, the Everlasting Elohim, I can "see" the dynamic, not the demonic. It's not easy, you know. I see the grapes, not the giants now, the spoil not the toil. Our enemy wants us to remain "song-less" because of the affliction placed upon us, but the fact is that my most beautiful songs are born out of pain, seeing that our Creator gives us songs in the night, our lips are being tuned to the melody of Heaven.

Every arrow of guilt, which satan might shoot at us, is broken, for who can lay anything to the charge of God's elect? Vain are the sharp swords of internal infernal malice and the perpetual battles of the serpent seed. Does it not say that in the midst of the Church the lame take the prey and the feeblest warriors are crowned? Failure is critical to success. Absence of war = absence of heroes.

I'm just sharing my heart with you today. I can only share what I've experienced and learned on this prophetic journey. At 11 years of age, I wanted to be wealthy and to have a fortune. I would've killed for it, but now that I am old(er), and having tasted its dastardliness, I hide from its judges. I've not entered the race; in fact, I run from it. Everyone desires fortune, and at times it is assisted, but fame is earned. Have you observed how fame, in the wrong hands, always goes to extremes? Horrible monsters or brilliant prodigies.

I can only imagine your journey. Each one is different. Hopefully when I share my own "pain to gain to reign" stories, you are strengthened on your journey. The popular saying goes, "What you SEE you BE." Jacob had a problem when he started his journey. His brother hated him and wanted him dead. Jacob had to leave his home in a hurry and stopped in a desert place to rest. He had no pillow so he used a stone to rest his head. Have you ever been in that place? Of course you have – in different circumstances.

During the night, God gives him a dream and declares what is INSIDE of Jacob. ISRAEL is inside of Jacob. Israel is Prince with God. God had to draw the Israel out of Jacob, so He began with a revelation. Jacob woke up, and everything changed from that point onward: his perception, his attitude and then finally his words. Jacob began to prophesy to his pain. He called that same place of pain by its rightful name – Bethel. "This is none other than the HOUSE OF GOD!" You must remember, the very place that he had laid his head to rest was the land that God had promised him.

We learned a lot about Israel's beginning. Just recently I was meditating on Jacob's story. God protected Jacob because Jacob had Israel (God's chosen) inside of him. God was protecting His future – His destiny. God protects you when you carry destiny and you allow Him to guide you on the journey. He found Jacob in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, and He kept him as the apple of His eye.

As I shared on New Year's Eve 2010, we have the capability as the people of God, to do EXPLOITS in His name. I proceeded to share some of God's greatest exploits through Jesus. We seem to focus on supernatural manifestations as great exploits, but do we ever really think about the exploits that do not require supernatural intervention, but simple courage, sacrifice and intestinal fortitude?

The Human Exploits of Jesus Christ

These are the human exploits of Jesus Christ:

1. He humbled Himself unto death
2. He was obedient unto death
3. He dined with sinners – said no to sin, but yes to sinners
4. He rejected a rich young ruler
5. He publicly withstood the Pharisees and Sadducees
6. He broke religious man-made laws
7. He stood alongside the woman caught in adultery and withstood the hypocrisy of the men
8. He touched a leper

(No longer would God teach the leper his leprosy by setting him at a distance, but He Himself suffered the penalty of the leper's defilement. Jesus touched the leper. This unclean person had broken through the regulations of the ceremonial law and pressed into the house. But Jesus, instead of judging the leper, broke through the law Himself in order to meet Him. He made an interchange with the leper because while He cleansed him, Jesus contracted a Levitical defilement through that touch. He took the sickness upon His Body.)

9. He loved children and let them near Him
10. He was sensitive to the needs of poor and rich alike

The woman with the issue of blood did something with fear of being judged and condemned. She drew near and touched His robe. Jesus immediately replied, "Somebody touched Me."

What is the one thing that stops people from doing an exploit? Fear of failure and fear of conflict or war. Failure is critical to success! As I said before, absence of war = absence of heroes. Determine to do something courageous every day. Your sacrifice will catch the attention of Heaven and Earth. Once you see the dynamic, and not the demonic, you will find your journey far more enjoyable. See the spoil and ignore the toil.

When my Friend Bob strongly suggested that I separate the Northern Gleaner Blog from the Prophetic on 9/15/08 I sensed he was right. I did and now see the wisdom in it all. Since doing this I am constantly being "Corrected" in the prophetic methodology. I don't despise correction, but I do take the option of testing and even ignoring advice sometimes.

I'm not easily blown to and fro by every wind of doctrine (correction or advise).

But today was a milestone, the publication of 1000 prophetic (or near prophetic) utterances on the Prophet Gene Blog. That's an average of more than one per day.

I don't give up easily. I'm a big believer in Galatians 6:9 --- So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up.

So I keep on despite those who might want to adjust the message and the messenger.
Oh, and the Northern Gleaner blog hasn't suffered. 5200 posts since December 1994. But then I was always the silent type.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program....

A prophetic word from 9 months ago...gestation.... about now

I can't vouch for who this person is, this prophetic word was published by someone else. I'm hoping it is authentic. It explains a lot. We are in a difficult and becoming more difficult time. Read this and YOU JUDGE if it be of God. I sense the voice of the Spirit in this:

Prophetic Word given at 3:33 a.m., May, 2010

Do not be concerned with cause and effect because the window of opportunity is now closed. My arm is extended in judgment against the nations of the world, and no one can stop what I have already set in motion. I have begun to release my wrath says Adonai, the Almighty One.

Know this, my people, they who scoff at my Torah and mock my name shall be brought low. They who think lofty thoughts and prosper by their own strength shall be brought to their knees. Their financial storehouses will be empty and good for nothing, for I will make the silver and gold they trust in as worthless as clay, ground to powder and blown away like dust in the wind. They will know that I am God who gives and who takes away.

Yes, my people, you will see a shaking of all you hold dear. All that is familiar will become strange and unfamiliar. You will no longer trust in the system of this world. Your governments will become your enemy as they struggle to maintain power. Don't be deceived by their offer of false security and empty promises for a better tomorrow. They are nothing more than delusions. I am the one who blesses and withholds blessings.

There will be great oppression. As people begin to see these things coming upon the Earth, chaos will erupt. There will be great fear and trembling as the world system crumbles before their eyes. The time of my judgment has come. I am the Righteous judge.

Know the times and the seasons, says Adonai, for many will be deceived when they close their ears to my warnings. Separate yourselves from the world and cling to me. Prepare yourselves my people. This is not a time to build, but a time to pare down. Let go of the things that enslave you. Do not busy yourselves with many things for this, in itself, is a great deception and many will fall because of it.

Seek my face as never before. Repent of evil. Turn from it and turn to me. Come before me with clean hands and pure hearts. You will have safety in my presence says the Lord. I am your protection and your provision. My arms will shelter you, but only if you stay in them. Be still before me. Wait quietly and listen for my voice. Remain in my Word and hide it in your inner most being. My words are life to you. Be ready to comfort those in need. Watch the signs that are given and heed my warnings. Fear not, my people, for I am with you always, even to the end of the Earth. I am Adonai, Elohim, and I am coming soon.

After I read this all the bells and whistles in My Spirit went off and I knew this is what this burden was about, So I begin to pray last night with a good friend of mine and I believe the Spirit of God showed me something else that flows along the same thread as this prophecy it is in

Haggai 2:6-9

“For thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”

Another prophet said this about all that we see:

There is coming perilous times ahead ( Very Soon) and it will shake even the very Godly among us, and this shaking will not be from the Devil, though many preachers and pastors and even prophets will announce that the enemy has brought an attack against our Nation but this will not be the case this "Shaking" will be from the Hand of Almighty God, and this shaking is to awaken the slumbered church from her sleep, and arise again with power and authority to proclaim the Gospel in this last hour. Jesus has left us with the great Commission and it is to preach the Gospel to the 4 corners of the Earth but we have become fat and lazy and complacent. We have gathered to us the ministers with a word for our itching ears and have turned our ears from the prophets who have bent sent to us the voices that have blown the trumpets and sounded the alarms. Woe unto the Nations that have turned from the living God and have played the harlot. A great Shaking is coming to awaken the voices that have been silenced by the Fear of man and Govmnt. A voice of one crying in the wilderness to prepare the way of the Lord will rise again preaching "Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand"!

He wants us to minister from a state of rest by Jeffrey Stewart

Jeffrey is a friend of mine and from time to time I have posted things he writes here. This was really good. It's prophetic in that it shows the heart of God to give us rest.



Rest is being completely independent of what we see and hear. Jesus was at rest during the storm because He was not moved by what He saw and heard with His senses, but only by what He saw and heard from His Father.

He wants us to operate from a state of rest during our ministry as well. That is because Heaven is a place of rest. Those who are laboring well see our rest, and ask us why we are different. Then we can tell them about Jesus.

Peter was able to walk on the water until he lost his state of rest, by looking at the storm instead of Jesus. The secret to walking in mighty miracles is learning how to operate independent of what we see and hear, resting our attention entirely on Jesus, on the Word. Rest is resting on His Promises, and acting on His Promises, and completely disregarding what we see and hear.

He wants us to walk by faith not by sight. Walking by faith IS walking in rest. Rejoicing in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES is designed to teach us how to rest, by helping us learn how to take our eyes OFF OF OUR SURROUNDINGS and placing our eyes ON JESUS.

Rejoicing in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES is designed to teach us how to rest, by helping us learn how to take our eyes OFF OF OUR SURROUNDINGS and placing our eyes ON JESUS. Guarding your heart means learning how to live in a state of rest. Living from a state of rest means OPERATING FROM A SEATED POSITION. We are now seated with Him in the Heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. Peter took his eyes off of the Word (Jesus). But Peter was not born again at the time, nor was he filled with the Holy Spirit. So we ARE capable of living from a state of rest. Paul and Silas worshiping in the Phillipian jail were RESTING IN THE LORD.

We are resting when we walk more aware of Heaven than we are of the earth. Jesus walked that way all the time, because He did nothing unless He saw the Father do it first. He wants us to be more aware of heaven than we are of earth. Then we can minister just as Jesus ministered, from a state of rest.

While Rick Joyner has done some things that I did not agree with, there is no question that he has more comprehension of things than most people who have opinions on prophecy. I will post all these as they come up.

The Purpose of Prophecy

We have begun to discuss the levels of prophetic revelation from impressions to being caught up into Heaven such as Paul and John did in the New Testament. Generally, it makes sense that the more dramatic, or high level the revelation, the more important it is. Others seem to think that the more high level the revelation, the greater the ministry of the prophet, but neither of these may be the case. We have learned that the level of revelation is more related to the difficulty of the task than to the importance of the revelation or the level of the authority of the prophet. For this reason, when we go through seasons of not receiving much revelation, especially what we are calling high-level revelation, we should learn to be content, and use these times for sinking our roots deeper into sound Biblical truth, searching the Scriptures.

As the prophecies of the end times all make clear, as we get closer to the end of the age, the difficulties will be increasing. This is why we see in Joel 2 and Acts 2 that in the last days the level of prophetic revelation will likewise be increasing. In these difficulties, we do need more clear guidance.

As this increase of revelation comes, we must keep in mind one basic truth about prophetic revelation – that prophetic revelation is never given for imparting or establishing doctrine. That is what the written Word was given for, and it alone has that purpose. You will find at the root of many heresies and false teachings that they were received through a prophetic revelation, or we should say, a false prophetic revelation.

Prophetic revelation is for revealing the strategic or tactical will of the Lord, not for imparting doctrine. The written Word, which is our doctrine, is finished and no revelation will come from God to add to it or take away from it. Any that would presume to do this we should immediately judge as false prophecy, and reject it regardless of how it comes. About this, we can have no doubt.

Impressions, Discernment and Words of Knowledge

Now we will go back to what we are calling the lower levels of revelation, starting with impressions. We will also start with the gift of discernment. The gift of discernment operates in different ways with different people. For example, Oral Roberts could feel what was wrong physically with another person when he put his hands on their head. Others can just focus on a person and start to feel things. These feelings, or impressions, are revelation. Some of the greatest miracles in modern times resulted in these, which reveals how even the lowest level of revelation can be very important.

The way that the impression works is when a prophet operating in this way focuses on a person, they may start to feel a knee hurt and then know that this person has a knee problem. This is the way discernment often works with a healing ministry. Physical healing is the easiest kind of healing, and for moving into the realms of emotional or spiritual healing, the gift of "a word of knowledge" often works with discernment. This is the knowledge of something we could not know in the natural – we could look at someone and begin to remember something that we did not experience, but that person did. If we stay focused, the Lord can give us a word of truth about the situation that can set that person free from the consequences of the event.

These are just a couple of ways that the prophetic gifts can operate in relation to healing, but they can be used for virtually every other area of life as well. I learned that I could focus on a church and start to sense things just like I did when focusing on a person. I then learned to do it in relation to cities, then nations, and businesses – virtually anything that people are interested in or engaged with. Once, when the Lord showed a friend of mine which team was going to win the World Series and that there was a message in this, we both started getting the scores of the games in this Series before they were played. And no, I would not gamble with such knowledge, but there was a message in the scores as well as the ultimate outcome of that Series.

Seek to Do All Things in Obedience to God

A mature prophet can focus their gift on something or someone and start to see into them supernaturally, but we should only want to see what is useful to the work of the Lord. The gifts of the Spirit are not toys for entertaining us, but tools for doing the work of the Lord. This basic prophetic integrity, seeking to do all things in obedience to Him, can enable the Lord to give us more authority and revelation.

The way I know what the Lord wants me to focus on can come by prophetic directive or two other ways: 1) by love growing in my heart for something that I know is not a natural love that I have, or 2) by what is called in the Old Testament "the burden of the word of the Lord" (Zechariah 9:1; 12:1). These are important for us to understand if we are going to stay on course with our gifts.

After the Collapse: The Family Mountain

This is number four of seven in a series to prepare the Body of Christ to take the mountains after the collapse that is coming soon.

I have a vision on what to do after the collapse in Media, Education, Government and a general word what to watch for when it all comes down. Now about the family...

When the collapse comes there will be severe poverty driven impacts on families. Homelessness and abandonment will be greater by a significant magnitude than now. People unconnected with family because of distance and the breakdown of communication will drift further apart. Family members, brothers, sisters, even parents will be facing hardships they never have before and will be unable to seek them out. The collapse will have built obstacles to staying connected.

The scattering that has happened in much of the USA from divorces and remarriage and in particular, a scattering from economics when people took jobs out of state means an extended family of ten siblings and parents may live in ten different states. This disconnect will cause a type of orphaning. After the Collapse many people will be alone in a strange place away from any bloodline connection or implied obligation that may carry. They will be alone. Feeling abandoned.

There will be new pressures that will split families like never before. When survival and the idea of making it another week becomes the focus, marriages, families that are based on weak premise will shatter. A man or women will pack a suitcase in the night and slip away never to be seen again leaving the remaining spouse to handle the situation alone. This will cause people in families to move in and out of open relationships trying to find some stability. It will have ripple effects.

Children will become an issue. Families broken by abandonment and poverty will produce more children. Desperation and fear will cause people to make connections sexually that will result in a population boom. These additional mouths to feed will mean more stress and poverty. Child abandonment will increase. The secular systems for coping with this that have existed in the past will break down after the collapse. Orphanages will be filled to capacity and overflowing. Government programs including foster care will grind to a halt as support for these efforts will be suspended.

Elderly people will find themselves in dire poverty as children are unable even if willing to support them. The support given by government will become uncertain and sporadic. This will become an additional burden that will drive families further apart. Government trying solve this problem will exacerbate it by robbing people in ways not yet invented. Families will find it advantageous to stay under the economic radar to avoid this government extortion.

It will appear as if anarchy and chaos will have taken the family structure and devastated it. There will be expressions of concern by many, but without the ability of people to handle it, there will be little material help. People will find themselves living in places that they never thought they could and finding meager provision in ways in which they never thought they would.

The collapse of family after the economic collapse will provide the most dynamic opportunity for Christians to retake the family mountain in 80 years. Not since the Great Depression will circumstances be such that the truth of the Gospel will be so readily received by those with nothing to live or hope for. People will be hungry for HOPE.

This will be the time when "being family", a common terminology in church circles, will take on new meaning. Churches suffering tremendous economic difficulty will be unable to provide humanitarian services that have been part of ordinary ministry to the family in the past. Homeless shelters, soup kitchens, orphanages will be too few and too poorly staffed. There will be failed attempts at creating Christian support systems but without money and in many cases without facilities (foreclosure will have put many churches on the street without a building to house them) these efforts will fail. Government will have long since proven unable to provide any help.

This will become the proving grounds for genuine ministry. Prayer for provision will prove to be the key to survival. Those who are real will see the supernatural demonstration of provisional (daily bread) prayers with power and effect. Many ministries will find themselves adrift in a secular world without the power of God to supply. They will not survive and will become shipwreck. Others will see daily miraculous provision in causing those with a little more to be the hand of God to those with a little less.

The necessity to find support will drive believers and those who will become believers to form community in a common cause of support and survival. Some homes will become homes of helps. Some abandoned empty buildings will become shelter. This will become the greatest time of revival, of signs and wonders ever seen in our lifetimes. God will show himself mighty as people lay down lives for one another. The truth of the Gospel will draw families back to himself. A longing for connection. A desire for safety. A need for security will cause like minded people to stand together in the quest to survive. People's eyes will turn back to mission and ministry to the community within walking distance. Jerusalem. This is that time after the collapse to focus on our neighbor.

Many disconnected families will reconnect as the difficulty comes. They will begin to move together, sometimes generations in one house. This will result in new cohesion and new problems for the body of Christ to be a balm for. As these things happen, as people see the hand of God in deliverance and provision the capacity to begin to believe will soften even the hardest heart.

This will become a time when many will be called to leave the ranks of professions and become dedicated to the cause of rebuilding the family without and demand for themselves. Many will remain single after the family has been fractured. Many will become as the poor and needy they serve, poor and needy except for the riches of the Word of God in their lives. As nuns and priests did in former times and in countries already in poverty, some will find themselves in the gutters of the world as light bearers without so much as a scrap of bread to offer, but with the promises and power of God in their mouth and in their hands. There will be loaves and fishes miracles again and again.

From this will come a restoration of order in the family mountain. It will take time, but there will be a recognition and acceptance by many that this is the way, walk ye in it as the mandate for those times. The wisdom of God will be once again held in esteem. Families will be healed.

There will be those who will not enter the household of faith as there are now. But for those who do, FAMILY will have taken on a new meaning. A new plumb-line of faith will have been put on display. It will provide an open door of understanding of what a Godly Family looks like.

As Christians continue to proclaim truth while living hand in hand and hand to hand with those destroyed by the collapse, a foundation that will not be easily displaced will be established. The lies of government (politicians), entertainment and education will have been exposed as the manipulation it always was. Jesus is Lord will be proclaimed by people who never thought they would. Families (and your whole house) will be saved. God WILL be glorified in this hour by those who are called according to his purposes to do good works in Christ Jesus. Those who do not, those who have walked a pathway not focused on building up and serving those in days to come will discover themselves sidelined. It will be pure and genuine religion, not the abomination that is on the earth as pretenders in many places today.

As in the book of Acts, we will find ourselves holding things in common once again.


ACTS 2:40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.


AND

ACTS 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.


These verses so often pointed to as an ideal will come to pass once again out of dire need. Christians will find it's application to be a road-map for the time after the collapse. It will be driven by Love, Love that is missing where family failed. This time will not be compulsory, it will not be communal living or communistic. It will be people facing a future together and encouraging one another until that day comes.

Hebrews 10:25 without the building.

It's all about the Love of God shed Abroad in our hearts with hearts renewed by the establishing of Godly Family Order thru demonstration of power and teaching; Family will be restored.

This mountain will be taken by the servants of all...who will be first among brethren.

To Judge a Prophet - To Judge an Apostle

At the Outset, this is NOT a prophetic utterance. Yet, I received understanding beyond my understanding to prepare this. That may be the activation of the Governance anointing of the Prophetic office. IF the Prophetic is to be a Governing Ministry Gift (and it is) then sometimes we need to have some Governance exercised. This is that:

There are many opinions there are on how to Judge a prophet as true or false....OK. It must be done. In the same way, what do we use to judge the qualities (marks) of a true Apostle? There are some, but because there as so many opinions on who really is a Prophet, I haven't seen the same stringent measurement of who is a true Apostle active in the Body of Christ as discernment. People and Churches end up shipwreck because of False Apostles. I don't want to connect to a false apostle any more than a true apostle wants to connect with a false prophet.

Some ask, I know there are new Testament prophets, but are there any Apostles beyond the 12 (11+Paul) that we know about? There were many after the 12, men and women. Paul spoke of them. BUT, there were also "SO CALLED APOSTLES". Fakes. Pretenders. I hear a lot about people being called a false prophet. I have been so accused. I don't see anyone calling out the "SO CALLED" or "FALSE" Apostles as Paul did in 2 Corinthians 11:13. "These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ."

Paul named several people that he called apostles: Barnabas, Silas, Apollos, possibly also Andronicus and Junia (Paul called these two "of note among the apostles" which may mean they were well-known to the apostles, or that they were noted apostles).

By the way, Junia (AKA Junias in the NIV) was most likely a woman. Andronicus may have been her brother or husband. That'll mess up some Baptist and Catholic Theology on leadership.

In any case, we must be careful who we allow into our lives with authority and governance. Not everyone who says Lord Lord, or I'm an Apostle, or I'm a Prophet is one. Judge them on their actions according to the 1 Corinthians 13 test and not by their title.

We must be careful to not allow the Body of Christ and His Church as the Bride to become unstable because we have a faulty foundation or part of the foundation is missing. "Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself." Ephesians 2:20

He still is the Chief Cornerstone and the Prophets and Apostles still are foundational...together. The Church of Jesus Christ is alive, built of living stones. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What's more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. 1 Peter 2:5

Many Ministries and Churches topple because they are not built on a reliable foundation (living stones) of true Apostles and Prophets. Some Apostles believe because they can flow in the prophetic, (or have a token house prophet) that they can be the whole foundation. That house will tip if that's the case.

Some Prophets believe that because they have apostolic leadership ability they can flow in the Apostolic. They become as apostolic leaders what looks like an 8 cylinder car, firing on only 3. They can get up the hill but it's going to be a slow uncertain ride.

The whole idea of single gift leadership is flawed and set up for failure. IF that were TRUE; God would have said, The Church is built on the Apostolic Prophet or the Prophetic Apostle. It's Not. And that's why churches and ministries founder. There has been a tendency among many ministry gifted people to try to be all things to all people, it fails. Stay in your lane. Be what God called you to be. Don't try to be something you're not.

I know a world famous prophet who is also "anointed by men" as an Apostle. A good man. A good Prophet. BUT his prophetic office is stained by his attempt to operate outside his governance gift as a prophet. IF I ever have a sit down one on one with him I will tell him this truth. I KNOW that it will take a great load off his shoulders. I can see it in his eyes sometimes. He needs to get back in his lane.

The same thing about Apostles who legitimately flow in the Gift of the Prophetic. I love when it happens. A few weeks ago Apostle John Eckhardt spoke prophetically over my life and it was powerful. They gave me a CD to recall it. I value these things. YET, Apostle John is first and Foremost an Apostle. He in our area is one of the great Covering Apostles with many many sons he has sent out as true Apostles into the field. I have met and know many of them. As powerful as those Apostolic prophesies are (including the one I received), they are only there to be sending, commissioning, empowering people for the work of the ministry. All the 5 fold should work like that in equipping. Yet, of all the true Apostles I know, none of them use the Prophetic anointing they have in governing. They govern out of their office as an Apostle. A prophet doesn't govern foundationaly as an apostle, that would be presumptuous and out of his or her lane. They govern because they speak visions, speak from the throne, speak revelation, speak destiny and sometimes corrections. When you hear an apostle Prophesy, it is and will be very different in it's sound from a True Prophet when he prophesies. We have become confused by this in the Church. We judge one as valuable (because it sends) and one as not (because it shows us a picture of how God sees us, now and in the future).

IF we don't comprehend, recognize, discern the difference we will embrace one as superior to the another. What does it mean to stay in your lane? What does it mean if you are called to an office, a grace and somehow someone thinks one is a superior grace to the other? How should a prophet and an apostle deal with that? I am always in submission to any Apostle in who's house I am. I would never mess with that house by my presence or prophetic office. If a true prophet is present I would expect the Apostle of that house to be in ordered submission to the prophetic declaration that edifies and builds up not only the Body in general, but THAT HOUSE. People are destroyed for lack of Knowledge that can only come by the revelation of the prophet that cannot come from the Apostle of the House.

There is an abomination that has taken place in this area in the last couple decades as the restoration of the Apostles and Prophets have taken their rightful places as foundational governance with Jesus as the chief cornerstone. That is the mascot prophets in many houses. These are people that are so titled as Prophets, they are there in the house. They are even on the Payroll of the house. The Apostle is their boss. This can not work well. Worse, many times an Apostle wanting to follow the admonitions of the word will put in place a Prophet completely subjected to him or her. This is not a proper foundation. UNLESS that prophet from time to time can and will come to the Apostle of the House and with boldness say to him, "Apostle, regarding your latest pronouncement, I regret to tell you, you are full of poop again". Or in Old Testament terms, Nathan, "Thou art the man". This is a tough pill for most Apostles to swallow. A true foundation of Apostles and Prophets must be built on tension. When you build a house, you put certain bearing walls and struts and rafters to complete the house, some of which push against one another in tension to create a stable building. Without that tension the building will collapse when the storms come. The nails that hold it together are LOVE. But the tension, the pushing back, is essential.

UNTIL we get out of the RANKING of the Five Fold and start to respect and implement all of them, we will drift into oblivion. I have a friend who is an Evangelist that staggers me. I have teacher friends (I was with one last night) who can dissect the word like I could never do. I have Pastors who can love people and support them in ways I never could. I have many Apostle friends, some of whom carry the title without the full grace. I have many Prophet friends who are simply good at declaring worldly wisdom.

Let's get over the whole RANK thing. A TRUE apostle will be in total submission to every other ministry gift in looking for implementation. He will always be looking for ways to encourage and support the gifts among him or her. He or she will with intentionality stay in their lane.

I'm glad God didn't call me to be an Apostle, I might have thought I was somebody. NOPE, I'm a Prophet and happy to be one. My friend Marcus Beaver said that long ago and I agree with him.

WE NEED true Apostles and Prophets in the Church as strong leaders. The answer is NOT to discount or disregard all of them. That Baby thrown out with the Bathwater results in anemia, churches led by the lowest common denominator, one that doesn't challenge the drift. ANY governing gift like the Apostle and Prophet will of necessity be a challenge to one another and to the status quo. If you steer a ship, you don't let the wind take that ship wherever it blows, you will end up shipwreck. You tack against the wind, push hard on the tiller. You challenge the direction that a weaker leader would end up allowing you to go.

Good governance requires true Apostles and true Prophets. Let's have them, but not everyone who puts it on their business card is one.

What About Egypt....Don Finto

What About Egypt?


donfintoEgypt is in transition. President Hosni Mubarak stepped down, clearing the way for the armed forces to restore order and shepherd a transition to civilian rule in the September elections. An Open Doors source in the area says the reaction by Egyptian Christians to his resignation is mixed, and it is unclear how the resignation will affect the country's 10 million minority Christians. A spokesperson with Voice of the Martyrs says Egypt's military doesn't have a very good track record when it comes to Christians. There is still much communication going on—e-mails, phone calls, facebooking, tweeting, blogging, and perhaps also an increase in Bible reading, as we try to discern the course Egypt will take and how it will affect the world.

There are at least three Scripture passages that will ultimately come to bear on Egypt:

Psalm 83 mentions a configuration of nations, Egypt conspicuously absent, who come against Israel. The psalmist vigorously implores God to intervene on Israel's behalf. Some believe this is a coalition of nations that is yet to come. Could Egypt come out of the present conflict with their treaty with Israel still intact even while other nations war against her? It's possible, though not likely.

Zechariah 12 and Zechariah 14 describe a time yet to come when all the nations of the world turn against Israel. Including Egypt? Obviously. The United States? Zechariah says "all the nations." Has the escalated distress/tribulation that is to engulf the whole world (see Matt. 24:21 and Dan. 12:1) already happened before all the nations come against Israel? It seems so, since Jesus said that the coming of the Lord and the gathering of the elect would come immediately after the distress/tribulation of those days (see Matt. 24:29-31), and Zechariah describes "all the nations" against Israel as the event that will trigger the return of the Lord to rule as king over the whole earth. Are we at this point? No, but the events in the Middle East and the growing world anti-Semitism are bringing us ever closer to that time.

There is a much more encouraging Scripture that has often been ignored as we ponder the events in the Middle East. Isaiah looked forward to a time when Egypt, along with Assyria (today's Iraq and other parts of the Middle East), would become a blessing in the whole world (see Is. 19:19-25).

Has this Isaiah-depicted scene ever happened? No. Is it therefore yet to come? Yes. Is this a picture of these nations during the millennium? Probably. But could it possibly describe some strange phenomenon that will happen before the Lord's return? Possibly. Why not let this be our prayer? Could this not be the most God-honoring outcome of the present conflict?

Lord, work a miracle in the Middle East. Turn the hearts of "Assyria" and Egypt to you even in our day. Let there be a spontaneous revival that bursts forth on the Middle East and changes the whole landscape of Israel and Israel's neighbors.

Bring Jewish people to acknowledge their own Messiah Yeshua, according to Isaiah's prediction (Is. 6:8-13) and Your own prediction of Matt. 23:39. Bring the surrounding nations to embrace those "greater riches" that would be released into the world when Israel comes into her "fullness" (Rom. 11:12).

We acknowledge You, Yeshua, as king of the whole world, even though the world as a whole does not yet recognize You. Amen.

IS this a visit and a message from an Angel?

I was referred to this website and found it worthy of reposting. I usually don't post in full like this, hope it's going to be OK, but I found this compelling.

A man’s little dog helps him find Jesus, and receive an important message.

I have had so many requests to post this story on the site, I am doing so now. This message was originally in an email update that went out to website visitors.

Special note: please pray about this, and do what God leads you to do:

A man, named Scott, contacted me on my website, needing confirmation about an experience he had. He admitted he had led a secular life, not religious, up until recently.

He has a dog named Hutch that barks and hates everyone, he said. Scott was walking his dog, and a stranger approached him. Hutch actually liked the stranger, which was a shock.

The stranger greeted Scott and his dog and Hutch wagged his tail, and wanted to stay with the stranger. This amazed Scott.

The stranger then asked Scott if he knew it was already 2 minutes to midnight. Scott did not understand.

So the stranger then asked if he could pray for Scott. Scott agreed, even though he was not used to prayer. Once the man touched his shoulder, Scott felt a huge wave of heat and emotion, and cried, repented and felt he had been touched by God.

The man only prayed for a moment, but Scott said it felt like the stranger had downloaded about 5 hours of information into him. Almost like a microchip was inserted into his brain.

The stranger then left, the dog didn’t want him to go, but finally they parted. Scott was overwhelmed, not totally understanding what he had just gone through. So I talked with him for awhile.

From his description, the stranger may have been an angel of some sort, The stranger’s name was Micah. Scott was then told he must tell other people the message he was given.

Some events he cannot disclose at this time, but this is the message for now.:

Store food and water for a 90 day supply. There will be some kind of problem.

But do not be afraid, and trust in Jesus

Seek God in your life.

The Lord is on His way. He is coming back.

Scott also discussed with me his impressions from his encounter, and prayer:

Prepare for riots, shortages, attacks, a failed country, and distress. Take measures to be safe during this 90 period. Stay home. Try not to travel.

Also, at some point in the future, there will be 3 days of darkness. No power. Stay home during that time.

I do not know if the 3 days is part of the 90 days or not.

Scott said he was commanded to tell the believers and churches. So I am passing this information along to you.

This encounter with Micah and the dog occurred about October of 2010.

As an unbeliever, who never went to church, and does not understand why this happened to him, and then made a sudden intense conversion to Christ, and now prays 2 hours a day, it seems like a credible experience. So I pass this along to you.

I love all you guys…and want you to be aware of this message, and be safe.

Scott also said the hand of God would split the country in half- physically. This makes me think as we part the land of Israel, to create a Palestinian state, further removing more territory from Israel, that God will part our land also. I do not know the time frame of this event, or if it would occur this year or in a future year.

I have checked some secular media sources, and they seem to confirm that we are in for some troubled times ahead.

I will make this information a separate post. It deals with a war with Iran, collapse of the dollar, food shortages, FEMA plans for an earthquake exercise, and Obama ordering troops to prepare for riots in the Spring due to food shortages.

After the Collapse: Taking The Media Mountain

This is number three of seven in a series to prepare the Body of Christ to take the mountains after the collapse. Many of thought that we would somehow take them without pain. That's never been how radical change takes place and this will be radical. It always comes when the mountain fails. It will fail...collapse. All of them, and that will create an open door if the Body of Christ is prepared to move in when it does....all vacuums are filled. With what is the question.

I have already given the word on what to do after the collapse in Education, In Government and a general word what to watch for when it all comes down.

I do not do this lightly, and I do it by hearing from God in these areas. I ask for vision and a seer's anointing in these things. You may disagree. You may think this is just Gene's ideas. That is your prerogative. I know that what I have as human understanding must inform the words that God gives me to say. So I speak by the Spirit and by Understanding.

When the collapse comes media will go further thru changes than it has already. We have already seen the destruction of media in many cases. Newspapers bankrupt. Newsweek and Time like an 8 page brochure. Print books being abandoned for electronic publication (Kindle for example). The Internet, Radio and TV have replaced print.

When the collapse comes there will be a narrowing and a broadening at the same time. It will cause many news and information structures to close. There will be no money. People will not do the hard work of news gathering in traditional sense without financial support. There will be a few survivors but they will be very sparse. The Media will contract and in some cases collapse. Getting sound information will become a task. There will be many who will try to fill that gap. Over the air television will become much smaller in offerings. The economics to continue won't be there. Expect fewer channels on cable or Satellite. Even that mode will be nonexistent in many areas. Broadcast will continue but it will be less. Many stations will go dark.

Radio will prosper, but not as much as now. The hunger for news will migrate to that medium. Again many entertainment outlets will go off the air. What will remain will be fewer but stronger dominant outlets and hundreds of low power transmitters, legal or otherwise to provide a hungry underground information. The middle will fall away.

The Internet that has provided so much information and transparency will be less able to do so. The economics and political will to keep the Internet going will wane. It will not be seen as helpful. Control will be attempted after the collapse. It will be intermittent. It will be unreliable. You may have to go to a central location to use it. And it will become expensive relatively speaking. You won't be able to afford everything you had in this new day.

Cell Phones and the related services on them will continue but be intermittent in service. Economics after the crash will drive the service offered. If there is economic purpose, there will be continual service. Some companies will not make it. Consolidations will occur but with less reliable service. Land line services will continue but begin to break down as telephone services move away from wired connections into unwired. Yet, the land lines left will allow for connections when the collapse comes.

This disconnected fragmented media environment will leave the population vulnerable to lies, rumors and disinformation generated by government to keep people off guard. Hunger for truth and hope will begin to be felt by a propagandized population. They will begin to understand that what they are being told is colored to an agenda. The state that survives will generate a news feed, but it will be suspect and disregard by many. Consider the rise of the BBC after World War II and the discredit it continues to gather. That discredit is by the Moving of the Spirit of GOD.

NOW is the time for the Body of Christ to arise. There will be bold moves to be made in proclaiming truth and hope for a depauperate world. They will want to know what to do. Who to believe. What to hang on to. The dark television stations will be ready to be acquired, the closed down radio outlets will have a ready seller to someone ready to buy. There will be wealthy who will keep control of a few powerful outlets. They will not be able to be displaced even after the collapse. BUT, these will not be ready to acquire and enlarge in that environment. They will try to solidify and develop a profitable model once again.

After the collapse there will be a few newspapers, but not like you once knew them. They will be regional small publications on subscription only. Advertising will be hard to find for these smaller publications. Many national newspapers will go to a more occasional publication. A daily news publication will become every other day or weekly. And delivery will change, the collapse will cause government to deliver mail only on an intermittent basis. That unreliability and delay will cause print to suffer even more.

Christians if they are ready to move when the time comes will own more radio and television outlets. They will be able to provide content for empty cable and satellite offerings. They will have new publications and even new books giving truth and hope to a hungry world. They will publish new websites, new blogs, new news sources. Every Christian in every part of the world observing what is happening in truth will become a contributor to this stream of news. The enemy will have his as well. Nothing happens in a vacuum. Even then as now it will become a contest for the hearts and minds of men of "Who are you gonna believe". IF we are prepared to take our place we will have a platform in the public square to form popular opinion and therefore policy even as has been the case in the past with other less christian friendly voices.

There is wealth and a desire for influence that will attempt to enter this arena when the collapse comes. Money held by Muslims, Chinese, Russians and others who will use this to attempt to influence the USA by owning media. It will not succeed. The cultural disconnect is too much. American are conservative and traditional at their core and after the collapse will be hungry to embrace it. Just don't be surprised when others try to buy influence.

This can be the greatest time for Christians. I see whole radio networks, new television networks on the air and on cable, substantial outlets of news on the Internet, new books, new publications, even newspapers; not with an overtly christian message with sharathons and all that foolishness we have endured, but righteous joy and peace declared on the airwaves that attracts even the ungodly to hear truth and hope.

This cannot happen until the collapse comes. The media in large part is corrupt today. It cannot stand. We must see this to take this mountain.

Fake Giving

There is a tendency in Churches and among Christians to make pretend offerings. Fake Sacrifices. Phony giving. Let me make a few examples.

There is a church where a young couple are out of money. Short. Broke. The pastor says, "I'll pay your bills for you." Everyone cheers. Then, he takes up TWO offerings to accomplish the task. It cost HIM nothing and he is a hero.

There are all kinds of fake giving. Click here and you send money to Haiti. Click there and you send money to starving children. Click here and you will save the whales. None of this is true. It's fake giving. Fake sacrifice.

I think the one that bugs me the most is the giving away of things your got for free and you hold your head up high. Many times in finding goods to send to people in need, I find someone who is a big hero by giving away tee shirts, hats or socks they got for no price at all. They are giving without a sacrifice.

There is a great Bible story, I hope you read it. I believe that the Spirit of God has brought this to mind. The key passage is this, "I will not sacrifice anything that cost me nothing". I wish we had that ethos among us today. People are making non sacrificing sacrifices.



David, Satan, and Araunah

1 Chronicles 21:
1-2Now Satan entered the scene and seduced David into taking a census of Israel. David gave orders to Joab and the army officers under him, "Canvass all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and get a count of the population. I want to know the number."

3 Joab resisted: "May God multiply his people by hundreds! Don't they all belong to my master the king? But why on earth would you do a thing like this—why risk getting Israel into trouble with God?"

4-7 But David wouldn't take no for an answer, so Joab went off and did it— canvassed the country and then came back to Jerusalem and reported the results of the census: There were 1,100,000 fighting men; of that total, Judah accounted for 470,000. Joab, disgusted by the command—it, in fact, turned his stomach!—protested by leaving Levi and Benjamin out of the census-taking. And God, offended by the whole thing, punished Israel.

8 Then David prayed, "I have sinned badly in what I have just done, substituting statistics for trust; forgive my sin—I've been really stupid."

9-10 God answered by speaking to Gad, David's pastor: "Go and give David this message: 'God's word: You have your choice of three punishments; choose one and I'll do the rest.'"

11-12 Gad delivered the message to David: "Do you want three years of famine, three months of running from your enemies while they chase you down, or three days of the sword of God—an epidemic unleashed on the country by an angel of God? Think it over and make up your mind. What shall I tell the One who sent me?"

13 David told Gad, "They're all terrible! But I'd rather be punished by God whose mercy is great, than fall into human hands."

14-15 So God unleashed an epidemic in Israel—seventy thousand Israelites died. God then sent the angel to Jerusalem but when he saw the destruction about to begin, he compassionately changed his mind and ordered the death angel, "Enough's enough! Pull back!"

15-16 The angel of God had just reached the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. David looked up and saw the angel hovering between earth and sky, sword drawn and about to strike Jerusalem. David and the elders bowed in prayer and covered themselves with rough burlap.

17 David prayed, "Please! I'm the one who sinned; I'm the one at fault. But these sheep, what did they do wrong? Punish me, not them, me and my family; don't take it out on them."

18-19 The angel of God ordered Gad to tell David to go and build an altar to God on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. David did what Gad told him in obedience to God's command.

20-21 Meanwhile Araunah had quit threshing the wheat and was watching the angel; his four sons took cover and hid. David came up to Araunah. When Araunah saw David, he left the threshing floor and bowed deeply before David, honoring the king.

22 David said to Araunah, "Give me the site of the threshing floor so I can build an altar to God. Charge me the market price; we're going to put an end to this disaster."

23 "O Master, my king," said Araunah, "just take it; do whatever you want with it! Look, here's an ox for the burnt offering and threshing paddles for the fuel and wheat for the meal offering—it's all yours!"

24-27 David replied to Araunah, "No. I'm buying it from you, and at the full market price. I'm not going to offer God sacrifices that are no sacrifice." So David bought the place from Araunah for six hundred shekels of gold. He built an altar to God there and sacrificed Whole-Burnt-Offerings and Peace-Offerings. He called out to God and God answered by striking the altar of Whole-Burnt-Offering with lightning. Then God told the angel to put his sword back into its scabbard.

28 And that's the story of what happened when David saw that God answered him on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite at the time he offered the sacrifice.


29-30 At this time the Tabernacle that Moses had constructed in the desert, and with it the Altar of Burnt Offering, were set up at the worship center at Gibeon. But David, terrified by the angel's sword, wouldn't go there to pray to God anymore. So David declared, "From now on, this is the site for the worship of God; this is the place for Israel's Altar of Burnt Offering."


May every man, woman and leader understand this principle. Giving without sacrifice is not giving. In fact, your offering will not be even accepted. Cain understood this after God dealt with him.

A Word on the Word of Faith...in WHAT?

Finding Balance in Word of Faith is treacherous territory. It's a tightrope. If you go too far either way you fall off into destruction. Many people have embraces the Oprah Winfrey "The Secret" theology in the CHURCH and called it positive confession. I have walked this tightrope and fallen off many times. I am learning that if I keep my eyes firmly fixed on Jesus he will help me keep balance. I'm afraid that much of what I hear from some Word of Faith preaching is full on Tony Robbins mixed with Scientology and an Amway convention.

We can do better but we MUST begin to speak words of faith without having faith in our faith but Faith in the One who first GAVE us the ability to have faith. Misty Edwards sings a great song a part of which says, "I can't even love you unless you loved me first, Lord". We have no faith hope or love apart from God.

Too much of what passes for Word of Faith teaching are simply warmed over self help books and tapes. No anointing, just positive thinking. Yes, there is a place for HOPE. Joel Osteen has built a church on that. I'm in favor of his ministry. It's better than the Word of Doubt and Unbelief churches I have attended sometimes. Joel walks that tightrope carefully. YET, how do we? How can we?

It's time for the Body of Christ to mature in this. I do not REJECT the Word of Faith teachings, I reject the abuses of the Word of Faith teachings.

We are to walk not as UNWISE because the days are Evil.

Ephesians 5: 15 Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise; 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit; 19 speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; 21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.


Don't hear that much taught in Word of Faith Churches today.

It's time to get back to the basics of Love Joy and Peace in the Holy Ghost.

Paul's admonition to the Philippians in Chapter 4 applies here:
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.


That my brothers and sisters is the TRUE WORD of Faith.

The Vapor of Me - Musings in the midnight hour...Nancy Minor

Apostle Nancy Minor is a friend who writes with passion and understanding. I thought this was very good::

Life is like a vapor so James tells us James 4:14

Like the steam from a pot furiously boiling- about to boil over…is that steam coming from your ears? Are you racing through, impatient with you? And what of those around you? Don’t be so hot that they are scalded in the bath instead of gently warmed by the splashes of your passing them by.

Like the vapor of the morning dew hanging on the petals and leaves and glistening on the spiders web as the sun shines through it… does your life kiss the lives of others and leave a glisten of love?

Like the vapor of night when all is dark and cold and we hug our arms around us and try to hold the last bit of the day until our eyes close… help us to make the most of our moments Lord.

And in the morning we find intricate designs of the vapor on our windshields froze.

Are there intimate moments of our lives forever frozen, etched in the hearts of those

Whose lives we have intersected? Have they become signposts to you? Guides along the way to that new bright and better day?

Like the vapor of my own breath as it hangs on the crystal cold of the air… is my life here crystalline moments of Your Breath God in a world that has grown cold and old because it has forgotten Your Love? May the “breath of my life” warm it, thaw it, and turn it back to You. Let my vapor, vaporize hate and discontent, cause hardened hearts to relent. May my vapor open eyes that could not see, and experience the beauty of Life Hidden in Thee.

If my Life is but a Vapor, let it’s essence be pure, the perfume of Your Grace, the Mist of Your Life, The Steam of Divine Spark by which we all come to be… Oh may the Vapor of my life point them to THEE!

Prophesying to the Air

It seems like there is a clamor in the Prophetic to find an audience. To beg a platform. To press a position on paper, in print, or in the modern publication media... Electronic Prophets on the Internet.

I know. I have done some of this. I have recognized it in others.

It's become a disease. IF I don't have an audience, I can't prophesy. That is the disease.

Where is the authority? Where is the confidence in God to open whatever doors need to be opened? Where does the prophet prophesy when all ears are seemingly shut?

The powers of the principalities of the air need to hear the declaration of the victory of Our GOD. They need to be reminded of their defeat. They need to be brought into line. Justice must reign.

Words spoken in secret carry power. Prayer. Declarations. Confessions. Boldness in the Spirit. Daniel was one such. Without an audience, he prayed. It WAS heard. The enemy sent spies to defeat what should have been a private conversation.

SO, if the Lord gives you a word, the first place to declare the word is not on your next blog post, try to get time on the platform, post on Facebook, or some Forum, Podcast, Fan Page, Website or Pulpit.

Speak the word into the air. Prophesy to the dry bones. They couldn't hear a word Ezekiel said. But they responded.

There are situations in your life that need to be prophesied to. No one need hear it.

NOW, it is good that others hear the word of the Lord from your lips, particularly as it relates to them and their future. So, pursue with all diligence to deliver what the Lord has given you.

Just remember who was the GIVER and how much he charged you for the GIFT you carry. Charge others exactly that amount for delivering what you have received. Any more is usury.

When we get our minds off ourselves, when we decide that the Word of the Lord is more important than WE are, we will have freedom.

Everybody quotes
Proverbs 18:16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
They quote that as licence to insist on the microphone for themselves. The problem is, if you study that verse in context, in several translations you will soon discover that it has nothing whatever to do with a spiritual gift of Prophecy or anything else. It has to do with finding favor in a difficult situation. You look it up.

Prophesy to the air faithfully, in little and when you do God will bring you much. He looks for faithfulness more than fame in his prophets.

Watch Saudi (For Reasons You May Not Expect)

In Ezekiel 38, God reveals how most of the nations of the Middle East, as well as Russia and its allies, will come up against Israel. Familiar stuff to this crowd, I expect. What often gets overlooked is v13:

Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all its leaders will say to you, ‘Have you come to seize spoil? Have you assembled your hosts to carry off plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to seize great spoil?’

Basically, those two national-ethnic groups, the Sheba-ites and the Dedan-ites, plus the various merchants of faraway places say to the rest of Israel’s enemies:

What on earth are you doing? Are you nuts?

It should be noted that these groups, and the merchants, are not Israel’s natural philosophical, theological or political allies and their comments aren’t even aimed in that direction. Yet they take exception to events which are driving towards the rest of the nations coming against Israel. Why?

The Punishment for a Watchman who is NOT Faithful in their Duty

Ezekiel 3:17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman of the house of Israel: so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18) When I say to the wicked man, ÔYou will surely die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 19) But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

The Lord told Ezekiel that he was to be a watchman of the house of Israel. In Ezekiel’s day a watchman was the person who stood watch over the city. At a time when cities were surrounded by a large wall and there was a threat of an enemy invasion, a man would be placed on top of the city walls and would scan the horizon for any signs of the approaching enemy. If he saw the enemy approaching he was to warn the inhabitants of the city. If he failed to warn them and the city was attacked, he would lose his own life for neglecting his duty.

The Lord has called you to be his watchman. In calling you, the Lord reminds you that you are merely a Son of man. The Lord might have used angels to be his watchmen. But he has rather chosen human beings for his great work. The Lord is aware of your gifts and weaknesses. He is not asking you to do something that is beyond the gifts he has given you. The work he is giving you to do is work for which he has given you the gifts. The Lord also knows your weaknesses and he will supply the strength that you will need for your calling.

Ezekiel’s task was not an easy one. The Lord warned him that his message will not always be heeded. People would not always listen to the Lord’s message as spoken by Ezekiel, but the Lord promised him, Whether they listen or fail to listen they will know that a prophet has been among them. [Ezekiel 2:5]

The same is true for YOU and ME.

The Lord told Ezekiel
As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. [Ezekiel 33:11]
The Lord does not delight in seeing the sinner spending eternity in hell. He would rather have the sinner repent of his sin, accept the forgiveness obtained by Jesus and thus be saved. For this reason the Lord wants his watchmen to warn people.

You cannot be held accountable for the response of the ones warned, but you are responsible to warn them of the impending eternal threat.

OR their blood will be on your hands. He may even put to death the call on your life.

I don't think there is any wiggle room on that. Watchmen, Watch.
