A Great Change

As I look at the spiritual landscape there is one thing that is clear.

We are in a season of great change.  Everything you ever thought and assumed will be tested.  This will happen on a personal and on a global scale.

It is hard to grasp because our normal human tendency is to think that we are in a linear time and whatever is the situation today it will go on like this for a long time.  The reality is time and events go in huge cycles.  What was true a hundred years ago is coming up on true today.  What the past teaches us helps us comprehend the future.

That's why the Bible contains so much history in Kings and Chronicles.  We learn from watching people wax and wane.  We learn from knowing that nations and countries wax and wane.

Even the country we know as the USA will someday cease to be.  It will become something else. That may be a hundred or a thousand years from now but this much is certain, nothing is forever.

I know it's heresy to many but the nation (real estate) of Israel will not always be as it is today.

There is however a nation that is growing and advancing.  It is the nation of God.  It is a holy nation.  A nation not with borders, only subjects and citizens.  A nation who's people are unique, peculiar, amazing and full of the Glory of God.

While rulers and leaders fight and dispute with words, swords and guns, the Spirit of God moves on the face of the chaos and calls out to the nation of God.  One that in fact supersedes any heritage, any boundaries, any worldly effect.  It is the nation that we belong to.

Does this sound like any nation on earth?

What joy for the nation whose God is the LORD, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.  Psalm 33:12

1 Peter 2:10
Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

“I will rouse your jealousy through people who are not even a nation. I will provoke your anger through the foolish Gentiles.” 20And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying,“I was found by people who were not looking for me.I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.”  Romans 10:19-20

“Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’
and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’”
“And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’
there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”
Hosea 2:23-24

The nation of God has citizens who have allegiance to the same King, speak the same language of the Spirit and have the same worldview.  Those who do not are not of the nation of God no matter what they say.

This is the Great Change coming. In the days to come, even the years to come the nation of God will become more and more evident even as nations fall away into dust.

It is a glorious future and the Kingdom is expanding.  Do not be deceived.  God IS NOT mocked.

You are a citizen of the greatest nation on earth.. no matter where you live.

IF you were given power to be His witness, if you aren't you don't have it

I know this seems harsh.  It's not supposed to be. It is an encouragement to enter in to the fullness of the Power of God for sharing the truth of the Gospel.

I have taken all kinds of "Courses" on evangelism.   I realized that I already knew how to do it.. I just didn't want to make a mistake.   The reality is I was hoping to accumulate a few spiritual scalps to hang on my sword (Bible).  Selfishness.

Now years later I no longer try.  It just happens.  BOOM.  IF an unbeliever is around for very long he is going to hear about Jesus, he is going to see Him.  I don't even try any more.  It just happens.

That's as it should be.  The fullness of the Spirit of God has given me all the witness power I ever need.  That is enough.  All I have to do is be myself and let HIM flow thru me.

I don't think we are short of people who want to witness, we need people who are full of HIM in Spirit and Truth and let it pour out.  IF it doesn't you really can't be a real witness.  At least not as he promised..

Acts 1:8  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Sometimes we rob God by preaching

I was in conversation with a friend the other day. We were talking about ministry gifts and their implementation.

During this discussion these words came, "If I were to restrict my ministry to the platform I would be robbing God".  That went pretty deep.  Most of what happens is one on one.  I end up face to face in some situation with a person who really needs a word from God.  When I see that, I will very soon be given the opportunity to offer what the Lord is saying.  It's how the Lord uses me.

I don't have anything against preaching, street evangelism, teaching or organizational leadership.  It's just that I am called as a prophet and as such need to do what I am called to do. To stay in my call and walk it out.  Sometimes that means I should not seek a platform.  In fact to do so could rob God of what he has invested in me.

I believe this came  to be shared because many people's whole ministry is focused on the platform. That's where the spotlight shines.  They have forgotten how to be the conveyor of the Word of God.
They preach.

So whatever your call is.. do that.. and sometimes maybe even preach.  Most of the call of God is done in small groups, one on one, in media or some other way. Don't rob Father by trying to fill a role he didn't call you to.

Where are the Wise??

I have a really hard question.  Why is there such a lack of WISDOM in church leadership?  Men and women of God you don't need to be perfect, just wise.  But I see how many comport their own lives and family and not in a hundred years would I send one of the dear ones I come across to them.  These leaders are not wise.  They might lead a fine church but they lack common sense.

Pastor Dan was wise as an owl and had many men of significant net worth who were in his congregation and submitted to him.  He was a listening ear and a word of wisdom.  A wise old owl. These men are very few.  Just being able to preach well, sing well, even prophesy isn't wisdom.  It comes down to weighing all the facts and issues and offering wise counsel.  I know few.  Far too few.

I have wondered if the ministry doesn't attract those without core wisdom. You can know the Bible cold, you can sing a thousand worship songs, but if you are missing the capacity to deal with life's difficulty when brought to you.. you are not wise.

You might be anointed, but lack common sense wisdom to help others navigate things that come along.

So how do you get wisdom, get understanding.  When I see some of the posts, some even political, I scratch another.  They are simply ignorant of the facts.

I wish there was one such in Gainesville I could point a friend to who is going thru a hard time.  Who could offer Godly Counsel.  Who would be there when hard decisions are being made.

I will do long distance what I can.. but the truth is, there must be ONE Godly wise man or woman within a hundred miles of here.  To find them is another issue.

I don't mean to be insulting.. if you are insulted... that an indicator.   Whatever offends the mind reveals the heart.

I simply want those who are called of God to a higher level.  One that can sit among Kings on the earth and like Joseph in Egypt be wise counsel.  Where are they?

I prophesy to you that the next call on those who are called will be called to wisdom.. we are outliers in a culture where we should be calling the shots..

If you read Proverbs, particularly the first 6 chapters, there is much about wisdom's call.  Who is heeding the call?

ANYONE?  Or do we remain a fringe on society when we were called to rule and reign? WE AREN'T READY TO RULE AND REIGN!

The End is Not Yet... YET?

Jesus warned of turmoil, wars, rumors of wars and other social unrest.  He told us not to consider them because as we do, the end is not yet.

I think that is better advice than we know.  The world is a really messy place, war, turmoil, politics and strife.  Economic collapse is prognosticated.  So as long as that goes on we are OK .. do I have that right?

Was there ever a time in history that the world wasn't in turmoil?  Ever?  Nope I can't think of one either.  The other end of the warning is when people all around are crying peace and safety.  Peace and Safety then look out.  Maybe all this is a way for us to not panic nor rush towards fascism.

The end is not yet..

But as we all come to the closing days of our mortal years our end becomes more sure.  We know that after we step out of time into an eternal secured life there will be true Peace and Safety.

The Lord is saying,

"Don't rely or trust in those who promise smooth soft lives. Who want to take all capacity for MY hand of provision and protection in your life off the table.  You are to be in the world, not of it and if you are in the world it's not safe...but you can trust ME.  False trust in humanity or a system that promises peace and safety in exchange is a prison.  In jail you are safe and have no worries about what to eat or what to wear.  I provide that as you go about.  Your end will come on earth and then you will live forever in Perfect Peace and Complete Safety in MY presence.  Come to Me ALL who are weak and heavy laden ..  rest and peace are waiting".

He's not like us --- HE is totally OTHER

There has always been an attempt to bring down Father God to a man like persona. Even though his word is replete with admonitions like, "God is not a man that he should...".

In fact to come to save humanity from sin HE had to become man, which means HE is not a man.

In fact he is Holy.. the least like man you can imagine.  Holy meaning unlike anyone else.  Completely different and OTHER.  Jesus used parables to define the Kingdom but not to explain God.  In fact He pointed to Himself to understand who or what Father is.

What makes Him so Holy is his capacity to be so outside of Himself.  I am beginning to grasp the essence of divinity that is the concept of Others.  William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army very late in his life had a one word admonishment to his mission.  "Others" was the full text of a telegram that was one of the last he ever sent..

We live in an exceptionally selfish self centered world.  Everyone is out for whatever or whomever they can get.  They are focused on themselves or those like them.  It is defined by a concept called "The Other".  All racism, victimization, persecution, reviling, anger, hatred, fear and division revolves around a demonic concept called "The Other".

Where it falls apart is among an unholy people happens when we see everything thru the filter of our own self interest and without any capacity to see things thru the eyes of others.  The enemy comes to destroy us by division, hatred, anger and all the other manifestations of the flesh called "The Other".

What some people see as rights others see as injustice
What some people see as heritage others see as cultural collapse
What some people see as provision other see as theft
What some people see as freedom others see as a threat
What some people see as recompense others see as tyranny
What some people see as  safety others see as isolationism

The opposite of faith is not unbelief, it is apathy. The concern I have as a prophet is we have reached a tipping point in our self centered focus.  I see it everywhere.  It is what and who we have become.  People, even Christians have become so ME focused that they are no longer able to see any "Others".

Much of the rage against racial injustice we see and hear is actually selfishness.
Much of the anger about political power is because we don't feel we have any.
Much of the fear about those from other places is because they are more "other" than most.

When I see racial injustice pointed out, when I hear cries of fear from those who make a living on "Otherisms" I see satan laughing up his evil sleeve.  We are a deceived people. We have been lead to kill and destroy each other out of our own fear of the other.

Certainly there are boundaries, borders over which we cannot cross. Not everyone is to be considered a brother or sister.  Yet.. many are never going to see the kingdom because only have one vision.. ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME and what's in it for me, and what about me.

The more Godly a person is, the less he or she is going to focus on themselves, their political group, their racial group, their ethnic group, their own world.  It is beyond natural capacity to live in harmony with the "Other" until we get outside of ourselves.  Here's a secret, if you wait for the "Other" guy to make the first move, you will never get off dead center.  If you keep score you will always lose.  If you try for a cosmic quid pro quo you will never see the Kingdom.

As a prophet I have come to see clearly how the enemy has deceived and deluded people into feeling put upon by "Others".  Prophets see injustice first and find it most unjust when claims of injustice are the injustice themselves.

The Lord didn't have to save us.. He could have wiped us from the face of the earth with one breath from His mouth.  He would have been completely justified in doing so.  Sin had destroyed us all.. and only hell waited.  BUT God so loved the Other that He sent His son, Himself in fact, to become an OTHER and dwell among us to offer a life line to the point where whoever believes and grasps that lifeline is Saved.  That is what He expects of US.

The call to be a lifeline in taking our eyes from ourselves is a clarion call this Sunday Morning.

Sowing and Reaping will Provide Prosperity if it's Done Right

Much of the teaching about Sowing and Reaping has to do with money.  That is shallow and much less important than the real sowing and reaping that we must do.  I believe this will help you get past the foolishness that is taught from some pulpits.  There are many ways we sow.. this is a partial list:

We sow into our relationships.  We sow the time and attention we give people.  Who you spend time with is Sowing and from that shall you also reap.

We sow into our family, spouse and children.  What we invest in them by our love, encouragement and attention will allow us to reap good family situations.  Those who do NOT sow.. reap something else.

We sow into our understanding.  Our education. Our study of the Word of God.  Our expansion of our perspectives.  Our understanding which God says in his word, "With all they getting, get understanding".  That means that Sports and Entertainment are forms of sowing as well.  We reap what we sow.

Our time in general is a sowing. We waste our days when we take a wrong path in sin or rebellion.  How we spend our time is a form of sowing.  We reap what we spend the bulk of our time sowing.  The Amplified Bible has a clear picture of this admonition on time sowing:

Ephesians 5:15 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], 16 [b]making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is.

One of the ways we reap is in opportunity.  Opportunity is best understood as something that happens in due season. It's a set time.  A door of opportunity opens and then closes again. It's karios.

Galatians 6:9 has to do with this:   And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Doing Good was sowing.  Due season is what happens when that door of opportunity opens.  We call them Windows of Heaven.  Doors might be better. That actual word means GATES.  Those are opportunities.   The time when we harvest our sown seed.

I prophesy to you that as you sow in the year to come there will come to pass God Sized Opportunities so big that to enter into them you will need God to do it.  He will guide you into them. Like a GPS guides you to a destination, as you sow seed that God blesses He will guide you to your expected end, your harvest.

A heart directed toward the Lord causes those things you have sown and the promises you wait on to come to pass.

Look for that in the year to come...

Rebellion is as the sin of Witchcraft and God won't Tolerate it

If you are in rebellion in 2016 God will set you aside. Those impure in motives and actions will find themselves under a brass heaven. Those who are no longer walking according to the Holiness of God in their lives will find themselves derailed.

The word says let not many of you be teachers..

James 3:1Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. 2For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well.…

This is true especially for those called as Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. God isn't winking at open rebellion any more. Expect your lamp-stand to disappear. Expect your gift to be squandered. You will become a clanging gong and noisy cymbal.

This may seem harsh.. but if you aspire to higher ministry, expect higher examination and a much stricter judgement. I know of men in ministry who decided to go their own way into sin and not only lost their ministry, family, finances, in a few cases they lost their lives.

This is not a light thing. God is not about to have his name soiled by your behavior.

We are Blessed by our Works.. OR?

I have been thinking a lot about the truth of the word regarding work and provision, blessing, getting wealth, storing up and all around taking care of one's loved ones.

There is much in the word of God about such things.

I wonder if we fail to understand how God provides for us.. (by the way this might be just for me, so let me ramble).

  • He gives me air to breathe so I stay alive.
  • He allows my heart to beat.
  • He gives me strength in my hands.
  • He gives me a sound mind.
  • He allows me to learn and retain things.
  • He gives me favor with people
  • He opens doors when I didn't even know they were there
  • He surrounds me with people who believe in me.
  • He offers me wisdom when I need it
  • He provides insight and revelation even in business and life
  • He allows me mobility so my legs and feet work
  • He keeps my eye from dimming or hearing from going dark.

In fact everything I have or ever have had has come because of his grace, mercy and provision.

Yes I know that the unrighteous get the same shot.. but they don't know where it come from.. they think they did it.

I don't want to be among the unrighteous who eventually fall.  Here's what the Father says:

Drawn From Deuteronomy Chapter 8  NLT
Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. For all these forty years your clothes didn’t wear out, and your feet didn’t blister or swell. Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.

God is bringing you into a good land of flowing streams and pools of water, with fountains and springs that gush out in the valleys and hills. It is a land of wheat and barley; of grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates; of olive oil and honey. It is a land where food is plentiful and nothing is lacking. It is a land where iron is as common as stone, and copper is abundant in the hills. 10 When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.

He led you through the great and terrifying wilderness with its poisonous snakes and scorpions, where it was so hot and dry. He gave you water from the rock! 16 He fed you with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to your ancestors. He did this to humble you and test you for your own good. 17 He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.’ 18 Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath.

Here's the end of the Unrighteous:

If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods, worshiping and bowing down to them, you will certainly be destroyed. 20 Just as the Lord has destroyed other nations in your path, you also will be destroyed if you refuse to obey the Lord your God.

We must remember and acknowledge that God our Father gave us the ability to get wealth.
