Chuck Pierce: A River is Rising! Keep Moving Toward Pentecost!

A River is Rising!

"There is a river within My people that I am bubbling up now. There is a river within My people that will bubble up and pour out now. Many of your rivers have been filled up with debris. Therefore, over the next several weeks, I will be cleansing you. There is a grace to be cleansed. There is a window to be cleansed. There is a moment that I will cleanse you. Because bacterium like E. coli has been down in your intestines, I will begin to produce clear colons. I will begin to cause your stomachs to be able to digest what I have for the future. My cleansing stream will come forth."

Keep Moving Toward Pentecost!

As we approach Pentecost we must continue to shift our minds and thinking processes toward HARVEST. Watch for NEW DOORS to FORM! To "form" means to develop or mold the shape or outline of something or to give meaning, character or nature to something.

Another way of looking at a forming time is when something is becoming what it will be in days ahead. This includes the conditioning of our mind and body in regard to its mental performance ahead. A forming season includes conceiving, training, and disciplining. This phase denotes the arrangement of the part of a thing that gives its distinctive appearance.

A key Scripture reference about Pentecost time is 1 Corinthians 16:8. Paul purposed to stay at Ephesus until Pentecost, because an effectual door was opened to him for his ministry. Many enemies are behind this forming door, but the Lord says:

"Do not focus on your enemies during this season, but watch the door form and be ready to enter into this new opportunity. I will give you grace over your enemies. I am releasing your new assignment and you will go forth into new mission fields."

Do Not Fear Darkness

God will be sending some of His people into dark structures. Do not fear the darkness. He will give you "night vision" to see a path of righteousness through any unrighteous structure. This will be like moving in the Gulf Stream through normal ocean currents. The Gulf Stream is a warm stream that originates in the Gulf of Mexico, goes through the Florida Straits and then moves into the colder waters of the Atlantic Ocean. God is parting waters! Dark spirits that have stopped us from advancing in certain areas to bring forth the harvest commission of the Son will now let go of harvest gates.

1 Corinthians 16:9 which says, "For a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries," and will become a reality in this season. The Word of God will enter places and groups of people that have been closed or resisted freedom. Demon forces will part like the Red Sea and will be held back while God's children go into their new assignments.

America's Golden Calf is Coming Down (it will be ground up and we will have to drink of it)

This is from over a decade ago, but Prophecy is best seen thru a rear view mirror. Consider the words Wilkerson gives. Do you think for a second God has changed his mind? Look at the murder in our streets. Look at the worship of the Market. God is not finished re-ordering things. Don't let happy talk deceive you.

America's Golden Calf is Coming Down

By David Wilkerson

For some time I have prophesied that America is about to be stricken with an economic holocaust. Now, lately, I've become convinced that one of two scenarios could take place:

  1. There could be a sudden "warning blowout"—perhaps a 1,000- or more point drop in the stock market. After a brief period of alarm, the market may rebound. When it does, investors will convince themselves it has made a correction. And once again the general outlook will be, "The sky's the limit!" Tragically, this attitude will lead to a kind of euphoria never before seen in America. There could be wild economic speculating —and it could shoot the market into the stratosphere.

  2. On the other hand, the stock market or bond markets may dive overnight with no rebound at all. If so, we would see a daily retreat among investors—because everyone will recognize America has been hit with a full-blown market crash. At that point, total panic will set in. And we'11 know our nation has entered a period of divine judgment—because we'll take a precipitous, sudden slide into chaos.

What is the reason for this judgment? It will come as God's wrath upon a nation that has shed rivers of innocent blood! In the Old Testament, the prophets warned the nation of Judah that judgment would come because of just such blood-shedding.

"Surely at the commandment of the Lord came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; and also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the Lord would not pardon" (2 Kings 24:3-4).

Manasseh's blood-shedding was only a tiny rivulet compared to the ocean of blood shed by abortionists in America. Add to that the blood of thousands of innocent people killed by drunk drivers, gunfire, murder. Then add the blood of children killed by other children—innocent lives cut down by those who have no sense of right or wrong.

The Bible makes it clear: God will not pardon the shedding of innocent blood. He will send judgment!

The Lord Is Shaking the World All Around Us!

Right now, a divine shaking is taking place around the globe:

  • Indonesia's economy has crumbled. When that nation's leader, Suharto, resigned under pressure, the rupiah collapsed, sending the 13,700-island empire into a depression. In just six months, Indonesia went from unprecedented prosperity to utter ruin and chaos.

  • South Korea is slipping even deeper into a depression. And Japan is sinking further into its deep financial hole. At last count, eight of that nation's highest-ranking financial leaders had committed suicide. And now a shaking has begun in Thailand.

  • Russia is about to default on its international loans. Multitudes of workers haven't been paid in months. And now, as the depression spreads, a revolution is brewing.

  • Argentina, Brazil and Mexico all are in deep financial trouble. Mexico is experiencing a severe drought, which has contributed to that nation's raging forest fires. The clouds of smoke have covered the skies of Texas and other western states.

Please hear me—this is not all just doomsday talk from a disconsolate preacher. These are facts. You can read about them in any newspaper from the past several months. God is shaking the world all around us—and soon he's going to shake America worse than he's shaken these nations. Why? We have shed more innocent blood!

I've brought up this scenario before, but it bears repeating here: One day soon, when the crash strikes suddenly and fear spreads across the nation, the President will stand silently in the Oval Office, staring out the window. He'll be panic-stricken—at a complete loss for words—because of the economic upheaval.

Finally, he'll turn to his gathering of advisers—the leaders of our nation, including the chairman of the Federal Reserve—and he'll ask: "What happened? How did it all come crashing down? And what can we do now?"

His questions will be met with stony silence. No one will be able to explain what caused the panic. Instead, everyone will wonder aloud, "The indicators were all positive. Inflation was under control. The economy was on track. It just doesn't make sense."

Beloved, America is facing God’s Judgment—and we will never be the same! In the days to come, literally hundreds of thousands of Americans will lose their homes. Why? They've leveraged them with equity loans, so they could play the stock market and try to strike it rich!

Right now, 43 million Americans are deeply invested in the market, with $1 1/2 to 2 trillion committed by individual investors. Thousands of these investors have actually quit their jobs so they can stay at home and play the market on their computers.

I tell you, the stock market has become America's golden calf! People see it as a financial savior, and they worship it daily —trusting in it, depending on it, giving it all their energy and attention. But it's going to fall suddenly—and none of the small, individual investors will be spared. They'll suffer the most, losing their homes, their cars—everything!

In the wake of the crash, we're going to see a wave of "assisted suicides." The masses who were driven by money and success won't be able to endure the failure and poverty they face. Many will opt for suicide—including corporate leaders.

Yet the coming judgment won't mean the end of American society. It will, however, mean a severe humbling of our nation, through a long, terrifying period of chaotic conditions—including rioting, looting and burning in our major cities.

I must ask you: Are you prepared for what is coming? If not, are you acting now to get ready? When I speak of being ready, where do your thoughts take you? Do you think immediately of investments, bank accounts, survival plans, safety for your family?

In the past months, our ministry's offices have been inundated with newsletters and prophetic warnings suggesting how Christians can prepare for dark times. However, most of these messages concern personal safety and survival. They advise, "Stockpile dried foods, long-burning candles, kerosene lanterns, warm clothes, blankets, medical supplies, a battery-powered radio..."

I don't have a problem with anyone who chooses to do these things. After all, scripture tells us the prudent person prepares for a time of crisis. I think of the patriarch Joseph, who wisely spent seven years preparing for a prophesied famine.

But there is a problem underlying such approaches to the coming chaos. Indeed, if there is one thing God despises, it is when his children face the future with fear. It angers him to see believers panicking, stockpiling, hoarding, hiding—in fear and distrust of our heavenly father's care.

Of course, God often hides his people in times of chaos. Jesus himself warned the citizens of Jerusalem to flee when they saw the Chaldeans approaching. And God has been faithful to hide persecuted Christians throughout history. In this century, he hid many Jews during Hitler's awful purges, often using Christians to do so. The Hiding Place is a wonderful, modern-day story of God's keeping power in this regard.

Yet I believe it is much more important today for American Christians to focus on spiritual preparation—or, spiritual "hiding"—before the coming storm hits. Let me tell you why.

The Coming Chaos Is Going To Open to the Church Ministry Opportunities Beyond Any We've Ever Seen!

If you've studied the history of revivals in America, you may know about the "laymen's revival" of the 1850s. It began in a church in downtown New York City. A lay Christian started a noon prayer meeting at the church, and right away the sanctuary was filled. Moreover, the meetings were marked by fervent praying and weeping.

Why did these meetings draw great crowds in such a short time? It was because most of those in attendance were the suddenly unemployed — panic-stricken workers and businessmen who'd lost their jobs overnight because of a stock-market crash. At that time, there was no societal safety net in place — no Social Security, no unemployment checks, no insurance. These out-of-work men were afraid — so they turned to prayer.

Most churches in New York City at the time had abandoned any prayer meetings. But soon they had to open their doors again, due to the many requests from troubled people who had no one to turn to. Likewise, in the chaotic days ahead, multitudes of Americans will be driven to prayer out of sheer desperation. Here at Times Square Church, we're preparing to hold prayer meetings every day of the week.

I believe that when the coming storm hits with full fury, and the nation is reeling with panic and fear, people will flee all false gospels and feel-good churches. Christians will forget about gospel entertainment and Christian TV, and they'll start demanding hard truth. They'll flock to hear godly pastors, demanding the true word of God. Their cry will be, "Who will preach to us a prophetic, life-changing word?"

I've been asked many times, "Do you believe we'll see a great revival in these last days—especially during the hard times you say are coming?"

Yes, you can be sure a great revival is coming. But it won't be what we think of as revival today. No one will be laughing or making animal noises in that fierce day of reckoning. No, the only kind of revival that will meet the needs of this society—shaken to its core with fear and terror—will be a revival of Holy Ghost-sent truth!

God's Answer to Every Apostasy, Crisis, Turmoil and Chaotic Time Is Always This: A Fresh Revelation of the Risen Christ!

When the Holy Ghost moves in, what will be the manifestations of his work? Jesus identified the ministry of the Holy Spirit as follows:

"The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you" (John 14:26). "When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth..." (16:13).

Jesus says the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth—and he bears witness only to truth. He won't bear witness to any erroneous gospel or fleshly manifestation. He is wedded to the cross—to the gospel of grace that teaches us to forsake iniquity. And he will bear witness to the truth that emanates from Christ's work on the cross.

Sadly, many charismatic Christians today talk much about being Spirit-filled—but they are totally bankrupt of truth. They're not intimate with Christ—and so they don't know how to draw on his strength in truth. They don't tremble at the truth of his word. They don't know how to walk in his resurrection power or live wholly dependent on him. Instead, they twist, manipulate and misinterpret his word to accommodate their flesh.

Jesus said we are not to tremble in fear at the awful things coming upon our nation. But we are to tremble in holy reverence for God's word: "...to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word" (Isaiah 66:2).

Samson Represents Ministries And Ministers Who Revel in The Holy Spirit's Power—But Who Lightly Esteem the Spirit of Truth!

Samson was a man wholly unprepared for the crisis his generation suffered. He misused his gifts and squandered the power the Holy Spirit gave him. And I believe his failure and fall are a lesson meant especially for the church in these last days.

When Samson was born, Israel was poverty-stricken, in bondage and deep affliction, because "the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord..." (Judges 3:7). But God raised up Samson to be a deliverer in this time of ruin and despair. Scripture tells us, "The Spirit of the Lord began to move him..." (13:25) at a young age. The Hebrew word for "move" here means "a regular stirring." In other words, God's Spirit stirred Samson continually.

Indeed, Samson was called from birth to be a Nazarite. The word "Nazarite" means "to separate, consecrate, abstain." In short, Samson was appointed to lead a holy, separated life—never cutting his hair, never drinking wine or any intoxicating beverage, never going near a dead body, even if it was that of a close relative. He was being set apart for use by the Holy Spirit, and therefore he was to be a totally consecrated vessel.

We know the Holy Spirit moved on Samson long before he began his ministry to Israel. Yet how did the Spirit manifest himself in Samson? Peter tells us, "...holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (2 Peter I:21). Whatever physical manifestations occurred in the Old Testament, they were always accompanied by God's Spirit speaking in and through people.

As the Holy Ghost moved on Samson, the Spirit surely confirmed to him the word he was taught in childhood. And the Spirit's stirrings constantly reminded Samson that the secret to his power lay in his total dependency on the Lord. Only through the Holy Ghost would he be able to remain separated and to keep his eyes on his calling.

The fact is, God would never send out a man to do a needed work of power without first teaching him the manner in which the Spirit would work upon him. So Samson knew full well he had to stay under the covering of the Spirit of truth—remaining consecrated and abstaining from wickedness—in order to minister the Spirit's power.

Yet we know from Samson's life he had a driving lust—an overwhelming passion for "strange" women. He first had a relationship with a forbidden Canaanite, then with a harlot in Gaza and finally with the prostitute Delilah. Simply put, Samson had a terrible sexual addiction.

Of course, the Holy Ghost was fully aware of Samson's propensity to lust. And as the Spirit stirred Samson, he would have made known to him the truth Paul would express in the New Testament: "...if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live" (Romans 8:13). God's Spirit always speaks to people troubled by sin, urging them, "Trust in me! I'll show you the way to overcoming victory."

Samson had access to all the power of the Holy Spirit to lead a holy life. But he ignored the Spirit's voice. And he made this his first mission: "Samson...saw a woman in Timnath...and told his father and his mother...get her for me..." (Judaes 14:1-2).

Samson Dared to Use the Power of the Holy Ghost Without Submission to the Spirit of Truth—and the Result Was Mere Theatrics!

Like Satan, Samson "...abode not in the truth..." (John 8:44). And anyone who dares to use the Holy Ghost's power apart from his truth will end up performing only theatrics.

When Samson visited the harlot in Gaza, the Gazites fenced him in and waited to capture him. Then something supernatural happened: "Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron," (Judges 16:3).

What a feat of strength! Samson's act was without doubt a demonstration of supernatural power. Yet, in truth, it amounted to nothing more than theatrics. It was played out before a sleeping city of unconcerned heathen—with no victory won, no bondages broken, no deliverance wrought. As I read the passage, I wonder, "What was that all about? What was the purpose?"

Likewise today, many so-called revivals are played out before a world that remains untouched and unaffected by such demonstrations. You see, whenever the Spirit of truth does not receive preeminence, all displays of supernatural power—signs, wonders, manifestations—end up being empty theatrics.

You may ask, "But, Brother Dave—don't you believe in manifestations by the Spirit?" I surely do. But if any manifestation is not founded on the Spirit of truth, its power is to no avail. Only the truth sets souls free!

Think of how little Samson accomplished in his ministry by all his demonstrations of power to no real purpose: He killed a lion with his bare hands. He trapped 300 foxes and tied their tails together. He burned down some fields and fruit trees. Yet no one was delivered by any of these acts.

The tragic fact of Samson's life is clear: He totally failed in his mission. After twenty years of his ministry, Israel was in as great a bondage as when Samson started.

Saul is another example of this. He was "slain by the Spirit," lay prostrate before God and prophesied. But in the end, it was all theatrics. Why? Saul had no change of heart. All those manifestations were wasted, because Saul wouldn't subject himself to the Spirit of truth. To use Paul's phrase, Saul was "destitute of the truth" (1 Timothy 6:5). Beloved, the power of the Holy Ghost rests in God's word — indeed, in his cross: "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18).

Many pastors and evangelists today have no interest in seeking the Spirit of truth. They think they can call on the Holy Ghost at any time to come down and sweep away all the powers of hell. But these people won't be prepared for the dark times that are coming!

The only manifestations we'll see when the storm hits will be men and women falling to their knees in awe and fear of God's word. They'll be slain by the piercing, convicting, soul-cleansing preaching that comes from the Spirit of truth!

God Knows What Is Coming—And He Knows the Exact Hour When America's Chastening Will Begin!

The Lord already knows how people will react to the coming storm. They'll be panic-stricken and full of fear. After all, Jesus warned that a time would come that's so frightening, people's hearts would fail due to the fear and stress.

Yet even in exercising his judgment, God always extends his tender mercy. He works far ahead of time, making plans for his people and stirring his true shepherds. Indeed, today—while most of America focuses on its prosperity—God is waking a holy remnant in the church. These saints are on their faces, seeking him with all their strength and crying out for a true word from the Spirit of truth. And I believe the Spirit is revealing Christ to them with a glory beyond that of any past generation!

In recent months, our ministry has received hundreds of letters from pastors and believers who are repulsed by most of what they see in the church: hype, foolishness, entertainment, shallow preaching. They're crying out, "Enough! We're tired of seeing our pastors go to conventions and return only to introduce some new gimmick. We're sick of seeing the flesh accommodated. We're hungry for truth! We want to hear preaching that convicts us and challenges us to holiness and prayer."

Believer, you can rest assured—in the coming days of calamity, the true revival won't come through showboating, big-time preachers or TV evangelists. It won't come through prosperity teachings or other doctrines of false security. No—God's revival will come through a hidden company of pastors and lay people who have been in the school of Christ, learning his ways and trusting in him. These will lead a revival of truth!

I believe we're already seeing signs of the Spirit's work as he breaks up the fallow ground in America in preparation for this revival. The Op Ed page of the New York Times, May 24, 1998, featured an article titled "Coming—the Most Religious Century." The article reported the following:

  • Norman Mailer, the renowned pagan and liberal writer, has declared, "Religion, to me, is now the last frontier."

  • Vaclav Havel, the famous Czech writer and leader, calls America "the most atheistic society in the history of the world." Yet both he and Mailer agree that our nation is on the brink of the most religious period in its history.

Most amazing of all, Mailer and Havel are predicting a return not just to any religion, but specifically to Judaism and Christianity. They predict even scientists will yearn for faith.

Of course, they're right—the age of reason and science has failed to satisfy humanity's need for peace. Socialism has failed...communism has failed...politics has failed...the new age has failed. And now even the most successful people in our society are crying out, "There has to be more to life than this!"

Yet not everyone is going to want truth. Many will turn to unbridled lust. Indeed, our society could see Sodom replayed a hundred times over. But as our nation poises on the brink of chaos, many Americans will begin to seek truth, answers, life.

As for me, I want to face the coming times as "...a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). I believe that's the way we're to prepare for the days ahead—by girding our loins with truth (see Ephesians 6:14).

I urge you: Ask the Lord to prepare you—his way—for the day America's golden calf comes down. Seek his Spirit of truth in your secret closet. Learn to recognize his voice above all the worldly clamor going on in his church. Then you'll truly be prepared to face the coming storm!

David Wilkerson's The Vision reviewed yet again

(In 1973 David Wilkerson published the book THE VISION. The following research was prepared to compare the prophetic statements in THE VISION to subsequent news reports.)
David Patterson 3/13/09

THE VISION by David Wilkerson (1973)

1) ECONOMIC CONFUSION

A) Economic Crash Coming

• There is worldwide economic confusion just ahead. In my vision this is the clearest thing I have seen… Not only is the American Dollar headed for deep trouble, but so are all other world currencies. I see total economic confusion striking Europe first and then affecting Japan, the United States, Canada and all other nations shortly thereafter.” (P13:p1-2)

B) Everyone Will Be Affected

“…A recession of such magnitude that it will affect the lifestyle of nearly every wage earner in America and around the world. Countries that now control huge amounts of Western currency are going to be in very deep trouble also. Arab countries will be especially hurt.” (P13: p3)

“The net worth of American households fell by the largest amount in over a half century of record keeping during the fourth quarter of last year.” Associated Press, 3/12/09

C) Economists Confused

• “The world’s greatest economists will be at a loss to explain the confusion and an international crisis of fear will develop.

“It is no surprise that the overwhelming majority of economists… Ben Bernanke apparently among them, have been as surprised by the train wreck now hurling toward our economy as has been the laity. Economists are at a loss regarding how to avoid the train wreck… no [one] would ever suspect that the economics profession would be as unprepared and helpless to deal with that calamity as the profession has shown itself to be.” The Daily Princetonian, 2/08/09

D) False Boom

• A false economic boom will precede the recession – but it will be short lived.” (P13-14: p4)

Oct. 1, 2007— Dow rockets to all-time high, closes above 14,000
Mar. 2, 2009 — Dow at twelve-year low closes under 7000,

E) A Few Good Years to Prepare

• The next few years (from 1973) will be among the most prosperous in the history of mankind….Sales will continue to break records and people will spend more than ever in modern history.

Family net worth had hit an all-time high of $64.36 trillion in the April-June quarter of 2007 but has fallen in every quarter since that time.” Associated Press, 3/12/09

F) Uncontrolled Credit Debt

• Credit debt will become nearly uncontrollable. I see, very clearly, just a few years of tremendous affluence and continued economic prosperity. Inflation, costs and wages will spiral higher and higher. ” (P14: p1-3)

“...Up to 45 percent of the world’s wealth has been destroyed by the global credit crisis.“ Reuters, 3/10/09

G) Bankruptcies of Major Corporations

• I believe we are going to witness the bankruptcies of some of this nations major and most popular corporations. I see tremendous difficulty arising for credit corporations. There are going to be many people unable to pay off their heavy obligations to major credit card companies, causing near chaos. Thousands of small businesses will also be forced into bankruptcies.

i.e.: Lehman Bros., Washington Mutual, IndyMac Bancorp, Peanut Corporation of America, Sharper Image, Linens ‘N Things, Circuit City

H) Government Panic

• The United States government is going to “overreact” to the confused economical developments…. I see a flurry of near-panic decisions being made by various government agencies – but these hasty efforts to shore up the economy will backfire.

Recent bailouts, stimulus packages, etc.

I) Auto Industry Hit Hard

• The auto industry is going to be badly hurt. Makers of recreational vehicles are going to get hit very hard.

Recent events: GM, Chrysler, Toyota posted first loss in 50 years…etc.

J) Building Industry Setbacks
• The building industry is going to face many setbacks. Housing starts will level off. There is a terrible squeeze coming to the building industry.

Since 2004 when builders on the Business Journal’s Top 25 list constructed 2673 homes… the number of home starts dropped 61% through the end of 2008. “ Business Journal, 2/14/09

K) Gold Will Not Provide Security

• The price of gold is going to rise astronomically but it will not be sustained over a long period of time…neither silver nor gold will offer real security. Gold hoarders are going to get hurt badly. This is one of the most significant predictions in this book.

The London P.M. Fix price for gold in 1973 was $65 per ounce, in March 2008 it reached an all time high of $1,002. Currently sitting at $970 per ounce.

L) New World Monetary System

• There will develop a call for revamping all world monetary systems into one uniform system.

European Central Bank council member Ewald Nowotny said that a tri-polar global currency system is developing between Asia, Europe and the US and that he is skeptical the US dollar’s centrality can be revived.” Bloomberg Financial Times, 10/19/08

M) Suicide by Overdose

• Economic setbacks and confusion will catch many unprepared for the consequences. Suicide will follow…from overdoses of sleeping pills and other chemical sedatives…Some very well-known people in the business world are going to commit suicide through overdoses of narcotics.

N) Social Aid Programs Will Be Cut

• Social aid programs are going to be cut back and curtailed and minority groups are going to be affected the most. These cutbacks, along with the curtailment of many government projects, will cause widespread unemployment among these groups.

NY Gov: Rising deficit requires health care cuts” Reuters UK 8/11/08

2) DRASTIC WEATHER & EARTHQUAKES

A) Drastic Weather Changes

• The world is about to witness the beginnings of great sorrows brought about by history’s most drastic weather changes, earthquakes, floods terrible calamities – far surpassing anything ever yet witnessed.

The eight warmest years on record (since 1850) have all occurred since 1998 with the warmest year being 2005.” Environmental Protection Agency website 2/18/09

88,011 people were killed in earthquakes in 2008, with the largest number dying in China and Pakistan. In 2000, 231 people died worldwide in earthquakes.” United States Geological Society

B) Famine

• Famine is coming to the world in our generation and millions will die of starvation…

Last year the number of the world’s hungry surged from 854 million to 967 million due to the steep climb in prices of staple foods. UN News Centre, 3/9/09

• Snowless winters will bring dismal crop production and famine conditions in central and western Russia. India, Pakistan and all of southeast Asia, and Africa will be especially hard hit.

Snowless Winter in Russia: With Russia having the weirdest snowless winter in living memory, Moscow is literally importing tons of snow from Eastern Siberia to provide for an international skiing event. Russia would normally be covered with a thick layer of sparkling snow by the end of November, but this year vast regions of the country… have not had a flake of snow with just ten days to go before the new year.” The Hindu, India’s National Newspaper, 12/23/08

C) Depletion of Relief Funds

• Relief and disaster funds will become nearly depleted. Insurance companies will face huge losses.

The Red Cross has depleted its disaster relief fund and is now borrowing money to pay for moving volunteers and supplies across the country to help with what the spokesman said were silent disasters.” The Chronicle of Philanthropy, 6/25/08

D) Outbreaks of Epidemics

• In the aftermath of famine, floods and earthquakes, mankind faces the threat of new epidemics. There will a major cholera epidemic sweeping through various underdeveloped countries. India and Pakistan face the threat of untold thousands dying from epidemic and starvation.

Some 88,000 people have now been affected by cholera in Zimbabwe, the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) announced today. ..Nearly 4,000 have died from the disease which is caused by contaminated foor or water, the agency said. UN News Centre, 3/06/09

Cholera death toll in India rises: The death toll from an outbreak of cholera in the eastern Indian state of Orissa has risen to 115, officials say. The outbreak has affected Rayagada, Koraput and Kalahandi districts where more than 2,000 people have been admitted to hospitals, officials say. Doctors say contaminated food and water are to blame for the epidemic. BBC.com

3) FLOOD OF FILTH: MORAL DECLINE

A) Pornography on TV

• Be warned – in the not too distant future X-rated porno movies will be show on select cable networks after midnight.

• Also available will be the same triple x rated video tapes for private home use. These videotapes can be played on any TV set with an electronic attachment.

Larry Flint, the founder of Hustler magazine says “You can now see on television material just as explicit as we were publishing in Hustler in 1974.” New York Times, 2/07/02

B) Sex Drug

• I believe a new sex drug will be concocted and distributed by the black market to teenagers and students. It will break down moral restraint and lead thousands of teenagers into promiscuous sex activity.

Ecstacy gained popularity in the 1980s. “Adolescents and young adults use [ecstasy] to promote euphoria, feelings of closeness, empathy, sexuality and to reduce inhibitions.” US Drug Enforcement Administration

C) Teenage alcoholism

• Teenage alcoholism will increase. We are going to face a critical drinking problem with teenagers between thirteen and sixteen years of age.

Alcohol: The Number One Problem Among Teens: Alcohol use is the number one drug problem among young people. Teenagers are drinking younger and more frequently than before. They often start around age 13, according to studies. Young people almost always begin drinking because of peer pressure. They try to be accepted and included in the group. According to a national survey, 11 percent of eighth graders, 22 percent of tenth graders and 29 percent of twelfth graders had engaged in "binge" drinking within the past two weeks.” Health A-Z website

Prophetic Warning: If you receive a lie, it will put you in chains...Only the Truth can set you free

People have subjected themselves to intentional blindness and bondage by submitting themselves to myths, lies, deception and speculations. Paul warned his spiritual son Timothy about such things:
1 Timothy 4:7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.
1 Timothy 1:4 nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith.
1 Timothy 6:3-5 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.
2 Timothy 3:5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
Paul was pretty concerned about the effect of lies and speculations in the House of God and what that will do to a believer. Many well meaning good people are captured by these bondages that have the net effect of putting them in chains. It's not just in the world where deception has taken hold, judgment starts in the house of the Lord.

If you have email it isn't long until you start receiving forwarded stories about the FCC, the Illuminati, the chip we are all going to have to take and a hundred other strange speculative emails from well meaning friends. Most of these seem harmless enough but the the steady drip drip drip of them will have the net effect of putting you and me in chains if we regard them.

I am not going to list them all here, but you have received them. I most of the time check them out. Nearly ALL of them are false. Sensational. But false. Harmless? NO! A thousand times NO!

Believing a thing builds either hope or despair. If it builds hope, it's of God. If it builds despair, it's of the enemy. The devil's desire is to bind you up, put you in chains, stop you from being effective, silence your voice for truth...or at least discredit it.

An example might be the belief that the government is going to outlaw all religious programming on the airwaves. That story has been around for twenty years. It's not true, but it rings true because people don't trust government and see an anti Christian bias when they look at the government. So it's easy to believe.

The problem with believing this is we expend energy and anger towards an untruth. We sign petitions. We send Emails. We contact our congressman. Our trust of anything governmental is lessened. Our anger towards those in authority over us causes a spirit of rebellion to enter in. We begin to figure out ways to cheat the government. We don't see government as US. We no longer are active for positive change because we don't believe it will do any good.

This myth has then in effect put a set of chains around us. Bound us up. In a small way has neutralized us.

This can happen to a Church. When a Church starts espousing myths and speculations (even quietly among the people), it causes people to become uncertain. It diverts attention from the centrality of the Good News and ultimately renders that Church ineffective. It's what has happened to the Church in the USA. We have majored on minors so long, argued about speculative things, considered the color of vestments while the world goes to hell all around us.

IF the Church of Jesus ever returned to the absolute truth of the Gospel in America it would see it's influence double...triple....off the charts. Instead somewhere along the way the theology of conspiracies, the doctrines of secret plots, the eschatology of evil men plotting against us has replaced our hope in God. It's not just politics. It's on every christian radio station on the weekend. Health scams. Pyramid Schemes. Get rich quick programs. Debt cancellation. Free this, quick that. ON CHRISTIAN RADIO.

And its in the church. As a result people divert Hope in a Mighty God for hope in some plan, three steps or otherwise, to "Save" them. Much of it seems well meaning, but they are schemes that deny the power of God. I won't define all of them here, but much of the Financial counseling many churches embrace is a cover for faithlessness. I'm all for good sound stewardship and financial responsibility. But many Christians have replaced the old hymn, "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus and his Righteousness"....to a Dirge that diverts hope to "my hope is built on nothing less than a good financial plan and my 401K". The lie puts them in financial bondage.

We need a Holy Ghost Dope Slap. Stop believing all the half truths, myths and deceptions. Break off those chains. The Chains that have bound you too long. It's time to come back to Jesus. We need a revival of Truth. The Way, the Truth and the Life. His name is Jesus.

I'm not angry. I'm saddened by those who believe the myths.

In the next part of this, I will define how Satan's lies have captured a whole culture and almost destroyed it.

I'm afraid this prophetic word of warning is true, I am seeing it manifesting... from Lyn Grainger

Witch covens and other satanists are going on 40 day plus fasts to attack Christians. I became aware of word warps - the listener hearing/reading different words than what is spoken/written (the message is warped). This is happening frequently now. It is a tool of Satan to stop christian unity and hinder the message going forth.

My people the power and blessing of Unity is being undermined by distrust, division and strife amongst you. The enemy knows that he cannot come against an army of God's people when they have one focus and one goal, to bring glory to Me. The enemy is causing division by many means. One is the distortion of words to each other. Satan is the god of the airwaves and is using word warping, confusing spirits to muddy the waters between believers. I am warning you about this, as the enemy's followers are targeting your marriages, children, health, pets, your home and ministries. He knows that speaking out the Truth in love will change, uplift and encourage the Body, so the hearer of the message hears a different message than the one you speak. Each day before you speak to anyone else or come onto the computer, bind the spirit of word warps, confusing spirits and place the blood over your life, the airwaves and the hearer of the message. Many have had misunderstandings because of this tool of the enemy. The Word of God goes out in truth. Your ministries are under the blood of God and we are a partner in the great commission. Satan's time is short and he will use subtle methods which you aren't even aware of to stop you, hinder you or cause disunity between you. Bless your brother with love, walk in peace with each other, don't let division come among you. See Christ in each other, and if unsure of the message, come to Me and I will give you revelation. Make every effort to keep the peace, believe the best of each other, help each other and so proclaim the heart of God. You are My chosen ones, the sheep in My pasture and the joy of My heart.

All Is In Readiness - Susan O’Marra

From Susan O'Marra:
In the vision, I can see there is much activity going on in heaven. A flutter of excited activity erupted all around me, and there was much talking going on all around me. I can see many angels going to and fro bringing many things up towards the front. I cannot see the very front as I am standing a few rows back. There are large angels in front of me, so I am limited in what I can see and hear, except for what I see going on around me.

I see several angels that are carrying bags up front. Some have empty bags and some have full bags. One angel that goes by has a scroll that is new. I can see that it was freshly made. He is very excited as he runs past where I am standing. Others are nodding and talking but I can’t make out their words. I try moving to the right some to see if I could get a better view. But to no avail, as the large angels in front of me are too big to see around.

I hear great cries of joy and some shouts also. “Something big is about to happen,” I think to myself. I can feel the anticipation in the air. I notice even more are gathering into the room. I turn to see how many are behind me, and I am shocked. There are multitudes gathering from everywhere in heaven. Everyone is pressing to see what is going on up front too. “There weren’t as many behind me a few moments ago,” I thought. Just then, one of the big angels in front of me turned around, and knowing my thoughts, he said, “Yes. All is in readiness.”

Then the vision ended.

I looked up the words “All is in readiness” in the bible and found:

Matthew 13: TM

10 The disciples came up and asked, "Why do you tell stories?" 11-15He replied, "You've been given insight into God's kingdom. You know how it works. Not everybody has this gift, this insight; it hasn't been given to them. Whenever someone has a ready heart for this, the insights and understandings flow freely. But if there is no readiness, any trace of receptivity soon disappears. That's why I tell stories: to create readiness, to nudge the people toward receptive insight. In their present state they can stare till doomsday and not see it, listen till they're blue in the face and not get it. I don't want Isaiah's forecast repeated all over again: Your ears are open but you don't hear a thing. Your eyes are awake but you don't see a thing. The people are blockheads! They stick their fingers in their ears so they won't have to listen; They screw their eyes shut so they won't have to look, so they won't have to deal with me face-to-face and let me heal them. 16-17"But you have God-blessed eyes—eyes that see! And God-blessed ears—ears that hear! A lot of people, prophets and humble believers among them, would have given anything to see what you are seeing, to hear what you are hearing, but never had the chance.

God is creating a readiness to hear, in all who desire wisdom and understanding. It will come to them His way and it will come very shortly. For everything is ready in heaven, and the Father is finishing up the final preparations of what is about to now be fully implemented in the earth. Heaven is ready. Are we?

God Speaks to our Hard Times

Many have been through some very hard times of late.

Many do not understand that they have been through my furnace, and that they are being purified by my fire.

I have been watching to see how they will react with their “circumstances”, will they accept or will they blame and lash out in anger?

Those who will fall at my feet in acceptance of where I am taking them will feel my peace they know it is I who has caused their circumstances because it is I who takes them to a different place.

I am removing their obstacles and sometimes it has meant they will lose people whom they loved and sometimes it has meant losing things in which they have placed value and some of these have become their idols.

My desire is that they place me first in ALL THINGS

That they be ready to lose their life to gain it.

I AM the I AM no one must place ANYTHING before me.

Seek first ME and MY kingdom my precious ones and then you will know my power and then you will see my glory.

The Power of Harmony

Years ago, a dear pastor left. He's still a friend. Sometimes waves of memory flood me. I thought of THIS today. He read this passage on that day. He hugged us all. And left. Paul the apostle had been with the Ephesian church for over 3 years. Had formed it well. Left Timothy in charge. Then he came to say goodbye. These goodbyes are always hard, but it is the right way...to leave with no bridges burned...but knowing they won't be crossed again. I have had to do this as well. And always left with full closure. There's peace and harmony in fellowship even when it ends.

Acts 20
16 Paul had decided to sail on past Ephesus, for he didn’t want to spend any more time in the province of Asia. He was hurrying to get to Jerusalem, if possible, in time for the Festival of Pentecost. 17 But when we landed at Miletus, he sent a message to the elders of the church at Ephesus, asking them to come and meet him.

18 When they arrived he declared, “You know that from the day I set foot in the province of Asia until now 19 I have done the Lord’s work humbly and with many tears. I have endured the trials that came to me from the plots of the Jews. 20 I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes. 21 I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike—the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.

22 “And now I am bound by the Spirit[f] to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me, 23 except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. 24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

25 “And now I know that none of you to whom I have preached the Kingdom will ever see me again. 26 I declare today that I have been faithful. If anyone suffers eternal death, it’s not my fault,[g] 27 for I didn’t shrink from declaring all that God wants you to know.

28 “So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood[h]—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders.[i] 29 I know that false teachers, like vicious wolves, will come in among you after I leave, not sparing the flock. 30 Even some men from your own group will rise up and distort the truth in order to draw a following. 31 Watch out! Remember the three years I was with you—my constant watch and care over you night and day, and my many tears for you.

32 “And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself.

33 “I have never coveted anyone’s silver or gold or fine clothes. 34 You know that these hands of mine have worked to supply my own needs and even the needs of those who were with me. 35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

36 When he had finished speaking, he knelt and prayed with them. 37 They all cried as they embraced and kissed him good-bye. 38 They were sad most of all because he had said that they would never see him again. Then they escorted him down to the ship.

HOW GOOD IT IS TO HAVE HARMONY Psalm 133:1-3
1 How wonderful and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in harmony!
2 For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil
that was poured over Aaron’s head,
that ran down his beard
and onto the border of his robe.
3 Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon
that falls on the mountains of Zion.
And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing,
even life everlasting.

An Apology to my Friend at Prophetic Expressions

I didn't mean to, but I accidentally deleted all your good comment. The button for delete is right next to the one for post. I hit the wrong one. I particularly wanted to comment back on the WORMWOOD planet x thing. I believe something is right about all that. I have no information. So, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, if you can remember the bright and pithy things you said on all three posts, I promise NOT to delete and I promise to answer you...I want to.

Thanks.

I don't always answer every comment. Sometimes I don't want to get into an argument. Other times I think you said it so well I have nothing to offer.

So, I appreciate your input, and post it up for others to read.

Thanks

Rick Joyner: Hearing and Obeying the Voice of the Lord Will Be Increasingly Critical

Rick Joyner

To understand the times, I always try to go to the foundation of a matter to see if I can recognize the hand of God in it. We are told in Psalm 90:17, "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; and confirm for us the work of our hands; yes, confirm the work of our hands." I pray this often because I do not want just to be busy but to be about our Father's business. I want to know that what I am doing is truly His work, and that what I am studying is for His purposes. Many things interest me, but I am not here to be entertained; I am here to do the Lord's will, so I seek confirmation for what I'm working on.

As the leader of a ministry that draws many prophetic people, I have spent decades seeking to understand prophecy and have never found a place in Scripture where the Lord is obligated to confirm prophecy by repeating it. As we read in the case of Josiah, one of the most righteous kings in Israel's history, he died because he did not heed the voice of the Lord spoken through a most unlikely source, and it was not repeated. It can be dangerous to presume things, especially to teach certain things as principles that are not established as such in the Scriptures.

Because something is found once in the Scriptures does not make it a principle. However, if it is found once, it does make it possible. A basic theological principle that I believe is sound, is that if the entire weight of the Scriptures says one thing, and there is one verse or one example that stands in contrast to the weight of the Scriptures—do not base your theology on the one, but on the entire weight of the Scriptures. Of course, we should seek to understand what seems to be the exception, but until we do, we should not base our theology or teaching on it.

We do have examples of the Lord repeating Himself to people, but it is the exception. By far, we see that He tends to speak once, and He expects us to hear and obey Him. He is not like a parent who repeats an instruction to a child so that the child learns he does not have to obey until the commands have come many times or the tone of voice has reached a certain level of irritation. The Lord said that our yes should mean yes, and our no should mean no, and anything beyond that is evil (see Matthew 5:37). We can expect that He teaches His children to hear the first time, and that He means just what He says the first time.

Hear and Obey

I tried to teach my children the same way—to hear and obey the first time I said it, without debate, unless they did not hear me clearly. I would never discourage them from asking me what I said if they did not understand me, but I would not let them challenge my instructions unless there was a major factor that they did not think I was aware of that could change my instructions. I learned this in the military and as a pilot.

I was told in infantry training that if I did not obey the commands, I would likely die, and those under me would probably die also, and I could in fact jeopardize our entire force by not obeying. If I was told to take up a position and arrived there, but thought I saw a better position nearby and moved to it, I would likely be killed by friendly fire. Why? If they observed firing coming from a position they had not sent anyone to, they would think it was the enemy. The more intense the situation is, the more dangerous it is to not hear instructions clearly and obey them without question.

As a pilot, if I was told to be at a certain altitude and heading, and if I did not listen or obey, I could find myself occupying the same space at the same time as another plane—which is not preferable. In combat flying, if you are not on an assigned heading and altitude, you could be presumed to be the enemy and be taken down by your own forces just as the wayward infantryman.

As we proceed toward the end of this age, hearing and obeying the voice of the Lord will be increasingly critical, and in due time, will be a life or death matter. Because our ministry has emphasized knowing the voice of the Lord since our beginning, and we have had decades of seeking to know His voice better, I think as a ministry we are about as good in this as any I know of. However, I have repeatedly heard from the Lord that we must know His voice much better than we do now to make it through the times that are coming.

Opening the Eyes of a Spiritually Nearsighted World

From New Wineskins.

First off, apologies for the dearth of posts. It’s marathon weekend here in Boston and that means friends dropping in who I only get to see once a year. It’s also the beginning of school vacation week.

I’m pacing a friend through the last several miles of the marathon this afternoon, then taking Springy on a 1,000 mile driving odyssey to visit colleges the rest of the week. Posting and e-mail responses will be light/terse.

(Please keep the tips coming anyway; most of the best stuff I’ve come up with the last few months has come from astute readers).

THE VOLCANO & THE FIREBALL

When it gets this obvious, even the political media get on the bandwagon (e.g., Rush). For those of you who may hold the man at arms’ length, don’t let the fact that he’s on this bandwagon deter you. In this case, he’s right. After taking a ~36-hour Sabbath from the news, asking the Spirit for guidance, I had come to pretty much the same conclusion without knowing he was on it also.

Here’s one more layer to it:

March 23rd: Obama signs the health death-care bill with 22 black Cross pens, concluding with the quasi-blasphemous allusion: “we are done”.

Exactly 22 days later, the Icelandic volcano erupted.

March 25th, at a speech in Iowa City, Iowa: Obama quipped:

“So after I signed the bill, I looked around to see if there any — (laughter) — asteroids falling or — (applause) — some cracks opening up in the Earth. (Laughter.) It turned out it was a nice day. (Laughter.) Birds were chirping. Folks were strolling down the Mall. People still have their doctors. From this day forward, all of the cynics, all the naysayers — they’re going to have to confront the reality…”

Exactly 22 days later (by Hebrew counting, where sunset begins a new day) a giant fireball, presumably an asteroid, made a spectacular display over five Midwestern states, including Iowa, where the president gave his remarks, and Illinois, his “home” state.

For those of you just joining us, 22 in scripture, is the number associated with, “disorganization and disintegration, especially in connection with the Word of God… It is associated with the worst of Israel’s kings…”

Many volcanoes, are the result of “hot spots”, (e.g., those in Hawaii) or of subduction zones (the closing/convergence of cracks in the earth as plates bash together (Mt. St. Helens is one of these, as are the volcanoes in Japan and South America).

Volcanoes at the margin between oceanic plates, by contrast (such as Iceland) are the result of separation. Such volcanoes are points along cracks in the earth that are getting wider. Lava seeps up from below as the continental plates move away from one another. The Atlantic in particular is one very long sub-oceanic ridge of this type.

The president is absolutely right: People are going to have to confront reality.

If they are unwilling to concede that reality is larger than what they can see, that it is beyond the capacity of any human being to grasp in its fullness, that it is headed by an utterly holy and unchanging Creator God YHWH whose essential Truth, Law and consistent character can be known (because he appeared to us in the flesh, to redeem us, the person of Jesus Christ) then they are asserting a separate, smaller, reflected reality of their own making. They will be awakened to the real reality one way or the other, on one side or the other of a spreading and eventually unbridgeable chasm between light and darkness (just as the Atlantic has become temporarily “unbridgeable” by air travel as a result of the ash cloud).

Cutting Edge - A word by Nancy Minor

What is cutting edge? Well, when you draw a line and cut on it to follow a pattern- that is a cutting edge. You are shaping the thing you are cutting and you are getting rid of and cutting away the extraneous and unwanted! The cutting edge is also the edge of the knife or sword that well- cuts! They who live by the sword will die by the sword. But in this case it is the Sword of the Lord, the Living Word that is sharper than any two edged sword. And we must live by this sword and also die by this sword... die to our selves, our selfish selves, our petty dreams and wants and LIVE to the great big GOD Dreams that HE wants to pour into us. Live by the Kingdom standard and Rule.

What made me think of all this? Well, you see, I spoke at a women's conference this past weekend. Destined for God's Greatness, hosted by Women of Honor Ministries. It was in Portland, Oregon. I was told by someone that my message was cutting edge.

It made me stop to think. Do my words spoken as HIS words, cause flesh to be cut away-and bring a circumcision of the heart? Do they divide to the heart of the matter? Do my words create a signpost to Jesus and to the greater good of being sold out to HIM? Totally sold out.

A Living Sacrifice is what is required for a Living God! No Dead Letter of the Law. No, it must be a New and Living Way. "Way" being the optimum word for Covenant. A Living, breathing Covenant that is filled with Life, filled with relationship. Filled with Love! This is what Jesus strove to teach while here on earth. This is what He suffered and died to bring to life through His sacrifice and resurrection.

Jesus was cutting edge. He didn't mince words. Mincing is a cooking term. It means to chop up finely. No he didn't mince up the meat of the Word, He just handed you a chunk and let you chew on it! But He presented it well seasoned and with a new flavor instead of dried out, tired, or the same old refried hash that religion tries to dish up. NO! His meat was to do the Will of the Father who sent Him and to teach us to do the same. And God's will often doesn't look like anything religion hands out. This meat is moist and succulent and well seasoned and flavored with LOVE!

Cutting edge: (according to The Free Dictionary on line)
An effective quality or element. (How effective are we as Christians?)
The position of greatest advancement or importance; the forefront
(Who and what is at the forefront of your life?)

The position of greatest advancement is total focus on your passion. Edison never gave up with his 1000's of failed experiments. He kept pressing in to find the one that worked. George Carver Washington thought outside the box and discovered more than 300 uses for peanuts and their derivatives!

When you have a dream, a belief that God has given you and you keep your ear to His heart and you don't let the dream slayers kill what God has given to you... then you will be amazed at what HE can and will do through you!

The cutting edge: the effective or decisive element. What element is that in our lives? The Holy Spirit's leading! Wisdom from above. Knowledge gathered and rightly applied. Crucial, resolute, firm in purpose. All these are part of the cutting edge. We must be unwavering in our Trust and in our walk with Him. Emotions waiver, but our Spirit and our heart must be stayed on Him.

As my Dad is wont to tell me: Fear freezes Faith." And, "Your Destiny is not tied to your past but it is in your Future." Don't be look at the past, has been's, used to be's, or the coulda, shoulda, woulda's. Forgetting those things that are past...( both the good and the bad) and straining forward to what lies ahead...

straining =To alter (the relations between the parts of a structure or shape) by applying an external force;

Scripture says: be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind... No weapon formed (can shape you into it's mold) shall prosper... for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds...(usually in OUR minds) But we have the mind of Christ. Cutting edge. Let Him cut away all that is unlike Himself and mold and shape us for His use. A vessel sculpted on the Potters wheel with an Eagle Eye to beauty and functionality.

Cutting edge. It simply comes down to being pliable in His hands, for His use. As the old rock and roll lyrics said: "Bend me, shape me any way you want to, long as you love me, it's alright!" Is it alright? Can we trust Him? Can we step into the center of His Will, His World and trust that it is going to be for our good as well as the good of the Kingdom? Will we eat His Meat? Drink His Cup? Put our ear to His chest and hear His Heart Beat? Will we? Not Can we, because He has already invited us to do so. So it is now a question of will we?

Ahh Lord, let the cutting begin a fresh and a new.
Take this vessel and mold it for You.
No longer strong, standing on my own
Posses my heart and make it Your own.

Let my one Passion be
to be totally sold out to Thee.
Cutting Edge- that's how I want to live
Cutting Edge- my all to give

Cutting edge, take away the rest
Cutting Edge, help me be my best
Cutting Edge, come set me free
to live on the Cutting Edge with Thee!

Spectator Sports and Spectator Christianity - A Prophetic Rebuke

I am old enough to remember the day when spectator sports were rarer than participatory sports. Today many people consider themselves "Sportsmen" who's total commitment to sports is holding an adult beverage in their hands and sitting at a game or on the sofa watching a game on TV.

That disease has invaded the church.

I'm bring the word to you today that American Christianity is as anemic as American Sportsmanship because it has become a spectator event. People don't golf, they watch it on TV.

Most people don't actually play sports events much any more. Even kids games are organized and controlled. The idea is if we didn't control them we might run the risk of someone actually making a boo boo. Or become free.

So we drag our kids to soccer games, controlled, monitored, directed. Doesn't anyone just pick up a ball and a bat and strike up a game any more? A pick up game? Without supervision?

NOPE. It's all controlled. It's a spirit. And when it's in the Church it's use of Jezebel to control and silence the move of God.

Now the Church and it's para church environs have become just like the sports world. We find ourselves dedicated to doing things according to principles with no chance of disorder. And people are drifting away from it. It's boring. Not mystery. No manifestation.

It doesn't work any more. People are voting with their feet.

Once, I was part of a great prayer movement which is still going on today out of Kansas City. Then it became platform centric. Open prophecies were discouraged. Then stopped. Open words in tongues quieted. I heard about a local church yesterday that only allows ordained prophets to bring a word in services. All others must stay quiet and spectate. Most of any prophetic words come from the worship leaders...since they have a mike. I racked my brain to think if any of the great prophets in the old and new testament were musicians? Aseph? Psalmist. David? Sure, but he was mostly King. Not prophet David. Song of Moses...Miriam? I guess. But, if you think about it, a prophet was a prophet and not a musician. Where did the idea of prophetic worship come from. Sure worship CAN be prophetic, but now it's to the exclusion of verbal prophecy.

Spectator Christianity today depends on the platform..speakers, controlled prophets, prophetic musicians. All good, in the place, but not good since it drives people into being only spectator Christians.

""Come hear this great speaker. Come hear this great prophet. Come hear this great worship leader."" All good....except it doesn't look a THING like the picture of the Church Paul defined as the "Should Be" for our gatherings in 1 Corinthians 14:

22Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers. 23So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understandg]">[g] or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 24But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understandh]">[h]comes in while everybody is prophesying, he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all, 25and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!"

Orderly Worship
26What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. 27If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God.

29Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. 32The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. 33For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

As in all the congregations of the saints, 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

36Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached?

37If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command. 38If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.i]">[i]

39Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 40But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.

When did any worship service you participate in, conference, teaching look like that at all. Messages in tongues. Prophecies from several in the room, not on the platform. Now, I left the bit about women in, not that I agree with it, I don't, but for context and cultural relevance.

We have allowed a spirit of lethargy born of spectatorship (sitting on the couch watching the game) to invade the church and it looks just like the ball games I attend from time to time. The loudspeaker tells the crowd to stand up and yell, sing along, chant na na na na, na na na na good bye. EXACTLY as we do in our church services. Lots of stuff up on the video screen.

I am about to fast any church service that demands I be a spectator. I will not continue to be part of any church that asks me to sit down, shut up and doesn't let the Spirit of the living God speak.

When I was first saved and filled with the Holy Spirit I was part of a great Church of a couple thousand in Fargo ND. Every service was unique. ANYTHING could happen. Sometimes in the evening services the room would be filled with so much electricity and freedom that we all expected Jesus to manifest bodily at any moment. We didn't want to miss it.

Messages in Tongues came from the congregation, so did the interpretations. Sometimes people from the congregation would call the congregation to the front or to their knees. There was a Holy FEAR of being out of order. Seldom did Pastor Dan step in and stop it. He encouraged the freedom. It was marvelous. To this day I think of that. Sometimes Elder Jeff would get up and ask everyone to pray in tongues, a strong tongue, to accomplish something in the Spirit. People would engage. The Jericho march was common. People were engaged. Sure it got a little ragged sometimes. It messed with the "Plan". BUT it was the power of the Holy Ghost in action that was released.

How long has it been since you have seen this happen from the congregation and not from the platform or the worship team? How long has it been since a roar came up spontaneously from the congregation and not because of cheerleading from the platform.

I know it can happen. It still does some places. But fewer than it used to be and we are poorer for it.

I tell you without fear from the throne of God: The Spirit of Spectator Christianity has to stop or Jesus will get out his pen and begin writing Ichabod over the doors of the spectator driven houses.

I'm not talking about the Mainline type churches here. They make no claim to being free or Spirit Filled. I'm talking about the Church in America that considers themselves the Holy Ghost Church who today the Spirit of God rebukes. By the Spirit I can report, Jesus says...STOP IT!

We MUST kill this spirit of Spectator Christianity in our churches. It's not the People in the Pews fault. THEY WANT to participate. It's leadership's fault. What if God wanted to use some Jackass to bring a clear word from heaven as he did with Balaam? He does. He has. He will. You probably have seen it. But, so what? Did anyone die? We need to Learn to judge and measure. Even this word.

That person would be set down in today's spectator Church. Or beaten as Balaam's ass was. Even threatened with a sword. Numbers 22

Let those who have ears, HEAR what the Spirit Says.

There is a Fresh Breakthrough of the "Prophetic Voice" in this Hour

By John Belt

God is raising up a new group of people that will release His voice, His thoughts, His life in this hour. He is also calling "whosoever will" to embrace the prophetic expression of the face of God at a new level, to bring forth His words without mixture, in purity.

The Prophetic Voice

Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

From the beginning all creation, everything seen came forth from the voice of God. The voice of God is the creative force behind everything we see before the hand of man touched it. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of God is integral for our spiritual lives. For His life to flow in us we must hear and receive the voice of God. The sound of His voice sustains us and keeps our spiritual blood flowing.

Psalm 29:4-5 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; yes, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

His voice is health to our body. When He speaks His words to us there is life that is released within our spirit that enables us to walk in sync with His purposes. When we lay all the business aside to hear His voice we come into greater union with God and His ability is released within us. The prophetic voice is where we become a vessel to speak what He speaks. Moses wrote, That all God's people would be prophets. To be a prophet is to be someone who draws close to God, to desire His will and to speak His words. The name "prophet" or "prophetic" has become a mystified term in many circles and to many people, but it is the most basic of things to our spiritual lives. God does nothing without revealing it first to His prophets.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.

So if we desire to be in on what God is doing, which we should, then all of us should desire to be a prophetic people that hear and speak His heart. If there is fear of "prophets" or being "prophetic" it may be because of abuse and misuse, but being close to God so you can to hear His voice is what we are all called to. "My sheep hear My voice and they follow Me." The least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than John the Baptist. John was a prophet in the wilderness. Jesus fulfilled the role of "The Prophet." If we are to be like Jesus we will be a prophetic people.

Prospering Through Prophesying

Ezra 6:14 So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

In the Book of Ezra, the people of Israel prospered through the prophesying of Haggai and Zechariah. True prophecy encourages us to keep doing the will of God. Prophecy speaks life and helps to accomplish the plans of God in the earth. We can see Haggai speaking encouragement saying, "Be strong!" over and over again. This was encouraging the people to keep building, keep going, don't stop but stay your ground, keep your position, don't give up. Like the energizer bunny, we need to keep going, going and going in God.

Haggai 2:4 "But now be strong, O Zerubbabel," declares the Lord. "Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land," declares the Lord, "and work. For I am with you," declares the Lord Almighty.

Prophecy strengthens us. The wise speak words that are like a "tree of life." Our words should be filled with life.

Matthew 23:24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

There are those that just look for people to follow them to feed their own identity, those who want ownership and credit for everything. Our lives should be found entirely in Christ, abiding in Him. Jesus had no time for this kind of foolishness. Find those that encourage you to live in and after the heart of God and only have time for things that glorify the Lord and pertain to His Kingdom.

Sharpening Your Prophetic Sight

Revelation 2:12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, 'These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword..."

The spirit of religiosity, routine and just getting in a rut makes the edge of our spiritual sword dull. God is calling us to sharpen our sword, sharpen our sight so that we may speak forth His purposes with authority. The last thing the devil wants is for the Church to rise up in the authority that is already theirs. Jesus paid it all that we may walk in victory. Victory is simple. It is not complex. But with the intellect, the natural mind being dominant rather than the spirit of man, the spiritual senses grow dull. Fire needs to burn in our spirit. This can only happen as we are completely dependent on the Holy Spirit. This is the very foundation for us to be a prophetic people. As we walk dependent on His voice, breaking chains of compromise, we will begin to experience the restoration of a sharpening in our spiritual vision.

His Blessings and Peace be Yours,

John Belt

Change is in the air...and it's not what you think- the shaking continues

Father is speaking:

I have told you in my word that I would shake everything that CAN be shaken. I am not shaken. I am immovable. I am the only stability you will ever find. I am security. I am the one and only true and living God. All else is sinking sand. When you stand on and with ME you will never fail.

Things may look dire in your life or they may look promising. If you depend on your circumstances for your hope you will end up hopeless. There is no other hope than ME. None.

I WILL shake everything. Some physically. The world shakes and continues to shake and quake. The climate continues to surprise man. Do not trust men...there is a curse to those who do. Rely only on me. I am your all in all.

Much upheaval will come from the shaking. Some will try to take advantage of this to seize power. People with evil intent.

The shaking will not only be physical, it will be economic. The world celebrates weak Pyrrhic economic victory. Recovery they say. Prosperity is back. Peace because of men's agreements. It's all an illusion. The world's system will fail. It has taken the Place of MY WORD in YOUR LIVES. My covenant with you is perfect and without fail. When it all comes down you will have ME and that will be all you will need.

The shaking will be political. The governments of men show themselves to be corrupted. Do not place hope in them. They have nothing but empty words to offer. When it comes down, they will come down. I place one in power and take another down. It's all MY purposes. Those in power now around the world are they by MY grace and allowance yet I will remove them when the time is right.

The shaking will shake the man-made religious systems of this earth. Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu and pagan earth spirit religions of the secular world. I will make it clear that you shall have NO other gods other than ME. Not all will repent. But without THIS shaking many would not. It will appear that somehow I am destroying MY church by this shaking of religious systems. Many who carry my name I never knew. They are no longer MY CHURCH. The gates of hell cannot prevail against MY CHURCH. But many who call themselves MY church will fail. The gates of hell will stand against them and win.

Have confidence and trust in me. Take no thought about tomorrow. Trust ME and you will see your salvation. Look UP. I am coming soon.

Where Do You Place Your Confidence?

TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1,

by Os Hillman

04-09-2010

"Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel." -1 Chronicles 21:1

God always requires total trust in Him alone for our victories in life. Throughout Scripture we are cautioned not to place our trust in the strength of horses, other men or our own abilities. In 1 Chronicles, David's decision to take a census was a failure to keep his trust totally upon the Lord.

David's purpose in counting his population was to assess his military strength, much like the second census taken under Moses (see Numbers 1:2-3). David found 800,000 men eligible for military service in Israel, and 500,000 men in Judah (see 2 Samuel 24:9), more than double the previous head count.

David's commander evidently recognized the grave error that his king was about to make. "But Joab replied, 'May the Lord multiply his troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all my lord's subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?'" (1 Chronicles 21:3).

Joab was right--the census displeased the Lord. David was falling into the temptation of trusting in the size of his army rather than in the Lord. In consequence, God punished David and reduced his forces by bringing a plague that killed 70,000 men.

How do you avoid placing your trust in God today? Do you trust your bank accounts, your skills and the security of your workplace? When you begin to place your faith in these things instead of in the Provider of these things you get into trouble with God.

What a lesson this is for each of us. Today, place your total trust in the Lord for all of your needs.
