Francis Frangipane: The Summing Up of All Things in Christ

He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. –Ephesians 1:9-10

God and Time Are on My Side

Paul tells us that the price Jesus paid has not only brought the Church into salvation, but Christ's atonement will also redeem all of creation as well. The apostle explains that a unique season would occur at the end of the age. During the last years of this dispensation God would actually begin to gather "all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things upon the earth."

This great gathering together of all things is not so much a singular event as it is a series of divine initiatives. Thus, the word translated "summing up" was an accounting term used by the ancient Greeks. It simply described the sequence of addition used to bring separate items to a singular total. Other translations use the phrase "gathering together" or "gathering into one" all things in Christ. Those who love Him will be consumed by Him in love; those who hate Him will be consumed in judgment. Either way, God will leave nothing but the fullness of Christ permeating the universe.

What is important for us to know now is that we are in that season spoken of by Paul in the Scriptures. Indeed, even now there is an energy, a power, from God that has begun the process of gathering. We see evidences of His power as He gathers Israel to its land and the Church to its unity and destiny. This is a profound truth. The world is being carried forward into a reality that shall ultimately be filled with Christ. Whether it takes five years or fifty years, this is the great "mystery of [God's] will" which shall occur at the end of the age.

To win our war for righteousness we must keep focused on this larger, cosmic perspective of a world consumed in Christ. Yes, the world remains darkened in its fallen state. Yet, every time we pray, "Thy Kingdom come," we are asking for the Holy Spirit to enter us, and then use us to redeem and transform every darkened facet of human existence.

God's Plan to Invade and Transform

We look at the system of the world and believe it is beyond hope. We see the entertainment industry, for example, and believe that God must destroy it to keep it from contaminating the rest of the world. But what if, at this time, it isn't God's plan to destroy the world, but to invade and transform it? What if He wants to sum it up in Christ? We must pray as if a time will come when godly movies will become commonplace, where the world will be ministered to by the Christian morals that reveal Jesus Christ. Imagine a day when the power of the Cross would permeate the entertainment industry so much so that it would be known as "Holywood" instead of Hollywood.

We might look at world governments with the same cynicism and unbelief, but remember God is going to sum up "all things" in Christ. The time is coming when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). So, we must learn to look at the wickedness of the world with the vision of the Kingdom of God. For at some point in time, worldwide, it will be proclaimed with great shouts of joy, "The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ" (Revelation 11:15c).

God's plan for the end of the age is to invade every single dimension of life and sum all things up in Christ. Whatever refuses to yield to Christ will be destroyed; what yields to Him will be transformed. This is the mystery of God's will. This is the big picture.

When I hear of terrible natural disasters such as we've seen in Japan and other places in recent years or when I watch the turbulent upheavals in the Arab world, I pray as though, somehow, the outcome of what I see is ultimately going to be fulfilled in Christ. When I pray concerning evil in the world, I don't look at the illusion of permanence that appears to protect evil; I look right past it toward the day of God's Kingdom. I see what's wrong, but I'm also saying, God's will is to sum this thing up in Christ. I pray as though God and time are on my side.

Becoming Like Christ

The big picture, the wide-angle view, is that all things shall ultimately be summed up in Christ. Certainly, the Lord will use many mighty ways to fulfill this great plan. However, there is one dimension integral to the process of divine consummation that directly pertains to us. Paul writes, "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men...He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death" (Philippians 2:5-8).

Paul says, "Have this attitude in you..." What attitude? The attitude Christ demonstrated when He saw mankind's sin and vileness. He didn't destroy evil people. He didn't isolate Himself from mankind's wickedness. He didn't sit in Heaven criticizing man. Christ, who "existed in the form of God," took upon Himself the actual form of man. He completely identified Himself with humanity, even to the point of being found in man's very likeness.

In Christ we see the pattern of how to transform our world: We enter it, take its very form upon ourselves, and by becoming bond-servants (not judges), we give ourselves to whatever it takes to redeem it. To better understand this, substitute the idea that Christ was "being made in the likeness of men" with this: He took upon Himself "the form of need."

So, even though Christ existed in God's form, He knew He couldn't transform the world without taking man's form. As God, He could destroy mankind, but could not redeem mankind. Keep this in mind: You cannot transform anything from the outside. You have to enter the need and take its form to bring redemption.

The Bible clearly and repeatedly states that Jesus is not alone in the mission of redemption. He began alone and set the pattern, but He also is the first born among many brethren. Just as Christ entered us in order to redeem and transform us, so those whom He raises up at the end of the age will do what He did, but on a smaller scale. They will see the need, take its form, and work from the inside to bring redemption.

For example, let's look at the political arena. As Christians, we are so quick to judge politicians and think that the whole system is irreversibly corrupt. Yet, Christ desires that people with His nature enter the system and be a light there. Transformation is an inside job. The Church, however, has taken an outside position to things in need, standing aloof from the world in need of redemption. Our only contribution has been to judge and criticize what is wrong.

When we simply judge something without praying for it or seeking to transform it, we can remain isolated from the nature and pattern of Christ. Not until we have the attitude that was first in Christ, do we begin to truly grow in our Christian experience. We must allow Christ to manifest Himself through us. It is the very area of need that we see and remedy that is the "land of our anointing," where the nature of Christ has opportunity to be unveiled through us.

Everything Will Be Gathered in Christ

2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Here again, God's pattern is to identify with the need, not putting Himself above it, but sacrificing Himself for the redemption of that need. He shoulders the need Himself. This is the nature of the Cross. Christ became "sin on our behalf." He identified with our need so that we could be transformed by His righteousness. Whether it is a school, a neighborhood or place of employment, God desires that we identify with that need and bring light into it.

So the big picture is that everything will be gathered in Christ. The incremental movement within that big picture is measured in each of us seeing the need of the world around us, identifying with people who are trapped in sin, and bringing freedom to them by revealing Christ. After you have identified yourself with the need, you will no longer judge it. As a part of it, you desire its redemption rather than God's wrath. You pray for it like you pray for yourself.

May God deliver us from prayers of judgment and destruction. God's will is not to judge or destroy, but to redeem. He hears our prayers if we pray according to His will. Why then would we pray otherwise? So pray instead, Lord God, raise up people from the inside to transform (my school or our government or the entertainment industry).

We must stop thinking and praying negatively. God is doing something today that is so marvelous and so wonderful that He says: If I told you, you wouldn't believe it. Picture taverns becoming churches. Picture churches working together to see cities changed. This is the mystery of God's will, to see everything summed up in Christ. Let us look at nothing as though it cannot be transformed. Rather, let us remember that in what we desire to see redeemed, eventually all things shall be filled with Christ. God and time are on our side.

Anarchy is a Symptom of Spiritual Void

Over the weekend there were several images on the news of the anarchy in Britain. There has been anarchy in Wisconsin. There is anarchy in the street of many countries in the Middle East. It's like a fire alite all over the world. I asked the Lord to show me the root of this and what the answer might be... He said:
This is because of a Spiritual Vacuum in the hearts of men. There is no light. Darkness has generated desperation. Desperation is producing the actions you see.

While they riot for money, benefits, freedom, they are looking for a pure word they can trust. The word only I can bring, Says the Lord.
“Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.” Zephaniah 3:8-9

Those who are most radical, most violent, most angry are those who the Lord can use as hearts turn to him. There will come a day when the violence will come to an exhausted end. People will try to create systems and governments but they will fail. Governments of man will fail but the government of God will not. He will be seen once again as KING.

The Root of all anarchy is independence from the goodness of God as King. The issues people are rioting over are issues of provision. Provision is the single most manifested supernatural miracle in the Word of God. Yet when people become dependent on Government, on Jobs, on welfare, on benefits, on anything that robs God of his supernatural ability to provide; ultimately will lead to poverty.

Our Modern culture is one of the Hireling, work for pay, the Job. People's source is other people's goodness and mercy. Much of this has been driven by government. They have robbed God of his single greatest miracle in the life of his saints, Provision. Certainly God can bless thru favor in raises, in overtime, in multiplication. I heard several testimonies over the weekend to this effect. It's just not as easy to manifest a 30-60 or 100 fold increase in that system.

If you look carefully, all the people of MENTION in the WHOLE Bible are either, Kings, Military, Priests, Prophets or people in business for themselves. I looked and unless I missed them, I don't see any mentioned person who was an employee. The Bible is a book of God's blessing and provision to Entrepreneurs. Many were of course agricultural. Some commercial like Paul in the Tent Business. They all were people who could manifest radical increase.

As this anarchy continues there will come a day when people will come to the point where they will be facing dependence on God or starvation. Scarcity opens many doors. The people of God will have to be wise in this day. There will be dangers.

“Every Man’s Sword Against His Brother” Ezekiel 38:21

There are so many prophesies being touched once again in this current cycle...I remember well the anarchy of 1968-72 in the USA. It was not an anarchy over money, it was anarchy over power, systems and government. This spirit in those people flowed over into the world's spiritual life. The Charismatic movement blossomed as people who had applied that spirit in the world began to fill churches. Non Denominational became an accepted church affiliation. Whole movements emerged. It revitalized a dead religious system. From the Churches of 1965 to the Churches of 1985 most were hardly recognizable. That wave had swept thru.

Now as this anarchy over provision manifests, God will use this spirit to create a fresh wave of understanding provision among his people. As a believer you already know the answers. You already know how to touch the heart of God in provision. You already know how to access your heavenly account. NOW it's time to be open witnesses to a world rejecting the system that is failing them. Tell your story, your testimony of the supernatural provision you have received. It matters to these anarchists, they know the anarchy the are engaged in has no future.

When the anarchists in London went home, they faced emptiness. Yes they destroyed, yes they defaced, but they are still walking in the Spirit of Poverty. When those rioting in Wisconsin were done playing the fool they went home in defeat. One woman actually committed suicide because of her despair.

This is a ripe harvest field. They are standing for nothing now...they need something to stand for. To stand on. They need the fresh word of the Miraculous provision of God. It's what he loves to do.

This anarchy will result in a fresh wave of Apprehending the provision power of God in a fresh way.

It can't come too soon.......

Pakistan burns while Terry Jones Burns the Koran...an Apostolic and Prophetic look

A friend of mine, Apostle Nancy Minor has an associate in Pakistan who was in peril because of the response to Pastor Terry Jones in Florida who burned a Koran. It's a difficult situation. I can see both sides...but, I also know that without mercy Justice cannot reign.

Read this whole thing Please:

An Open Letter…

While our hearts have went out to Japan and our attention focused on growing political unrest in several nations, something has taken place here on the home front that many have not even been aware of…

You may remember back to 9/11/2010 when a man who runs a religious organization in Fla. threatened to burn the Quran (Koran if you prefer.) There was much concern over the effects of such an act and what harm it could bring to our troops stationed in the Muslim lands, less mentioned, but also of concern was the immediate backlash this would cause Christians in Muslim dominated regions. Mr. Terry Jones agreed and gave his word he would not do this, after being contacted and visited by several ministers.

However for reasons known only to his own mind and heart, he decided to go ahead with the burning this past March 20th. It went fairly unnoticed in America as we are inundated daily with CNN’s reports fueling political agendas against Nuclear Power as the saga continues in Japan and we see more news about a nuclear meltdown threat rather than the threat to the nucleus of human hope and dignity with all the suffering and loss and devastation they have borne, as well as all the nations that are in political chaos from riots against their governments.

However, it has been picked up on a Pakistani blog (and who knows where else.) The results have been an immediate reprisal. I was still in the dark, unaware of any of this until I received an email pleading for me to intervene somehow and get a message out to Mr. Jones and anyone else. That email came from with in Pakistan and was sent by a Christian who is both Pastoring and evangelizing, traveling and crisscrossing the land to hold meetings within the Sectors that have been blocked off as “non Muslim” areas. Here is where Christians are permitted to live. Much like the old days of racial prejudice where certain people were “discouraged” from moving into “certain neighborhoods,” except much more intensified.

Here is the letter:

Dear Believer and partners.

Greeting in the mercy and Matchless grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Once again we are sadly writing of a persecution event here in Pakistan , which happened because of the Burning of Quran by American Pastor in Florida "Pastor Terry Jone" , The Muslims of Pakistan are really at their extreme position to take down all Christians of Pakistan and there is very wildly protest going on Pakistan and even on media.

This evening we had received text message from Hydrebad city, where Muslim attacked a Church where it was filled with people and Congregation was worship and service was taking place, they opened fire at the people and burnt the Church resulting in the killing of at least 4 people, and they have given message that their revange is not yet stopped and this persecution will continue.

It is also been reported that Muslim Extremist organization are preparing for a massive attack or BIG BOOM against christian.

So please keep on praying for our safety, and if possible please send this message to pastor terry Jone and other minister with same mentality not to do these kind of things either it is not "eye for an eye" for the Muslim, it is many lifes just of piece of papers to be burnt.

God Bless you. Pastor “S.P.” (Identity Hidden to protect him) Pakistan

I then contacted Mr. Jones’s organization with a preface and sent the letter to them.

My preface read:

Dear Mr. Jones- I received an email from my spiritual son in Pakistan. I am forwarding it to you. He asked that you be contacted for him. So I am doing so on his behalf.

Perhaps you have forgotten the scripture that says we do not war against flesh and blood? Teaching Truth, Living Godly, and Sharing Jesus in a
spirit of Love and Humility as well as being a tireless advocate for the Kingdom and for the persecuted brethren go a long way in changing things.

Just as you were so warned, lives of Christians who are in Muslim lands are now like so many pieces of paper to be burned... I hope that you are spending much time earnestly praying for their safety, as well as the deliverance of all those in the grips of Islam who would be free...

Here is THEIR response to the preface and Pastor S P's letter:

Thank you for your mail. We follow these events very carefully and do not take our actions lightly. We know of the ongoing persecution of Christians around the world which goes largely unnoticed, and is a constant terror in Pakistan. This is what we are drawing attention to. Would you blame Christ for the deaths of the early Christian martyrs? Would you blame Martin Luther for uprisings that came from his stand? Or the deaths in the civil right's movement on Martin Luther King?

These are serious times we live in, much more dangerous than the years before WWII. How long do we continue the appeasement? Churchill said it is like feeding the crocodile hoping it will eat it last.

God Bless and Keep you, Sir, and your people in Pakistan. We also have suffering friends and loved ones in danger around the world. We are fighting a big battle - for the future of our children and grandchildren.

In Christ,
Fran Ingram

Delusion and deception is a stronghold that finds it’s way into people’s minds and hearts when they think themselves better than, or above… and choose to ignore truth by choosing their own brand of truth.

Scriptures are clear on some issues concerning the handling of things. But first let’s check out a piece of history.

Gen 16:3 And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

Gen 16:4 And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.

Gen 16:8 And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.

Gen 16:9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.

Gen 16:10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.

Gen 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.

Gen 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

Gen 17:18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

Gen 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

Gen 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

Gen 17:21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

Gen 21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

Gen 21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Gen 21:11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

Gen 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Gen 21:13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

Gen 21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.

Gen 21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

Gen 21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.

Gen 21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Gen 21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

Gen 21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

Gen 21:20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

Gen 25:7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, a hundred threescore and fifteen years.

Gen 25:8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.

Gen 25:9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;

In this story you see the Seed of Promise and the Seed of Impatience! So he went into Hagar whose name (reputation) was “flight.” (BDB Definition)

We walk by Faith not by flight, er I mean sight!

Now, I truncated for space and time, highlighting the texts that pull this together…

God made a promise to both Hagar and Abraham that her son would be a nation. He revealed Ishmael’s temperament and attitude to her while the child was yet in the womb:

Gen 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be [emphasis mine]against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

(GW) He will be as free and wild as an untamed donkey. He will fight with everyone, and everyone will fight with him. He will have conflicts with all his relatives."

Wild- (I think of untamable and rebellious) running wild; like the wild ass. His hand [signifying the open one (indicating power, means, direction, etc.)] BDB and Strongs

God reiterated the promise to Abraham. Even though Ishmael was “sent away” yet when Abraham died, he and Isaac were there and BOTH buried him.

The followers of Mohammed are direct descendants of Ishmael… who was born of Abraham. So, you see there is a spiritual connection of a struggle of the natural against the supernatural, the promise against the impatience, the true against the counterfeit.

Yet, God was with Ishmael. The Word says so! So, what should be our response? It should not be fleshly fits of ego and supposed power! It should be measured and deliberate, with an end to see as many of Ishmael’s kin saved and brought into right relationship with their relatives (which are the Jews and the Christians!) as well as with God Himself.

Now let’s look at Jesus’ handling of “enemies.”

Bible in Basic English

Mat 13:24 And he gave them another story, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who put good seed in his field:

Mat 13:25 But while men were sleeping, one who had hate for him came and put evil seeds among the grain, and went away.

Mat 13:26 But when the green stem came up and gave fruit, the evil plants were seen at the same time.

Mat 13:27 And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, Sir, did you not put good seed in your field? how then has it evil plants?

Mat 13:28 And he said, Someone has done this in hate. And the servants say to him, Is it your pleasure that we go and take them up?

Mat 13:29 But he says, No, for fear that by chance while you take up the evil plants, you may be rooting up the grain with them.

Mat 13:30 Let them come up together till the getting in of the grain; and then I will say to the workers, Take up first the evil plants, and put them together for burning: but put the grain into my store-house.

Who is the man? Why it is God! Where is His field? It is the Earth and men’s hearts! Who is the enemy who hates him? The devil. What does the enemy do? He comes to steal kill and destroy. He comes to steal the seed, and he comes to plant evil seed. (John 10:10, Matt 13: 8-9, Luke 8: 11-12, Matt 13:25)

Did Jesus advocate forcibly removing the evil seed? No! His concern was for the true Seed and true Wheat, that it could possibly be harmed by such action. He guarded that seed, and advised take no premature action until the right time.

Thus should be our concern also.

Why shouldn’t we burn the Quran? But what about those who burned their curious arts and books? Yes, let’s look at that!

Act 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

Act 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

Act 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Act 19:17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Act 19:18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds.

Act 19:19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Notice first that seven men who did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, thought to use the name to make themselves look good…but the result was quite the opposite! This incident was noised all over amongst the Greeks and the Jews and it caused a new found Holy Reverence for the Name of Jesus and a great terror also, because they had discounted Him before! They were convicted and repentant, to the point of confessing their involvement with darkness and witchcraft. They brought THEIR OWN books and burned them. The Apostles did not go and forcefully TAKE their books away and make a public show of burning them. No, they (the Apostles) instead received their repentance and out of that repentance was born a desire amongst themselves to present the offending items to be burned.

We are not in the stead of the Holy Spirit! Repentance is a GIFT that only HE can give.

(Acts 5:31, 2 Tim. 2:25, Act 11:18 When they heard this, they quieted down, and praised God, saying, "So God has given even the gentiles the repentance that leads to life." )

We need to stand boldly and declare the Truth in LOVE, not afraid to speak truly and live truly!

So how DO we fight? Paul gave us the answer:

2Co 10:3 For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.

2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

2Co 10:5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

2Co 10:6 Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete.

Did you catch verse 6? 2Co 10:6 And2532 having2192 in1722 a readiness2092 to revenge1556 all3956 disobedience,3876 when3752 your5216 obedience5218 is fulfilled.4137

Being ready to “ retaliate and punish” others disobedience when our own attentive hearkening, that is, (by implication) compliance or submission: - obedience as a church has been fulfilled. Hmm sounds like – he who is without sin, cast the first stone!

We are not to throw stones at Islam that only makes people dig their heels in more. We need to Live the Truth, Love the Truth more than our own selves (see Rev. 12:11) and Speak the Truth in Love, not backing down, but not attacking people, but rather attacking in our closets the spirit behind the people and their beliefs, and being a tireless Advocate for the Persecuted Brethren, and for the Jewish People and Israel. Write letters and make phone calls to Govt. officials, politely voicing dismay over the atrocities being foisted upon our brothers and sisters in other lands. PRAY! Plead the Blood over them. Make others aware so they can become involved.

As Paul admonished Timothy I exhort, plead with and admonish you:

Phi 2:1 So by whatever [appeal to you there is in our mutual dwelling in Christ, by whatever] strengthening and consoling and encouraging [our relationship] in Him [affords], by whatever persuasive incentive there is in love, by whatever participation in the [Holy] Spirit [we share], and by whatever depth of affection and compassionate sympathy,

Phi 2:2 Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention.

Phi 2:3 Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].

Phi 2:4 Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.

Phi 2:5 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]

Phi 2:6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained,

Phi 2:7 But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.

Phi 2:8 And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!

Yes it IS our fight! Yes you ARE your brother’s keeper! Yes, your actions, or lack of them DO have lasting consequences!

Be SALT and LIGHT! Not gasoline poured on hearts already inflamed with hatred. “We Christians have the unmistakable “scent” of Christ, discernible alike to those who are being saved and to those who are heading for death. To the latter it seems like the deathly smell of doom, to the former it has the refreshing fragrance of life itself…” 2Cor. 2:15-16 J.B. Phillips

Open your eyes, your heart, your very self to include those you may never meet this side of Heaven, but who risk torture and death daily for the Name of Christ.

Make a Difference!

A view of the end times I hold to but don't want to argue about

IF you have been a reader of the Prophet Gene Blog for a while you will note that I don't spend much time on end times stuff. It's all opinion, and badly created opinion as well. There is so much vain speculation that people are confused.

Yet, this video speaks to a view I hold that Islam is the/A Beast of Revelation. It doesn't mean the world will end, it doesn't mean there won't be another. These things are deep cycle. They happend before, they will happen again. If you lived in the year 500, 1000, 1500 or 1900 you would have various ideas of who the Beast is or was. Yet, we need to be aware of what is going on. I posted this and got heat from some on it. Bluntly, it's not that big a deal to me. It doesn't form my life. Watch this and consider what revelation you will get from it.

I don't like to argue Eschatology, It's such an emotional issue. Frankly, I'm not confident any of us really get it at all. Those who think they do are deceived. I have seen enough scripture contorted to teach error that I must rely on what the Revelation of the Word of God shows me. You don't have to agree. It's OK. Right now there is a guy on radio who is absolutely certain that the rapture will take place on May 21. He will beat you to death with Bible Bullets if you don't agree. He will PROVE beyond any reasonable doubt the absolute truth of his claim. Of course he's wrong. I get that. BUT he would beat any of us to a pulp who have another opinion.

If what you know is intellectual and logical it is wrong. If what you know is Revelation based on information gleaned, it has a chance of being right. Too much end times teaching is vain speculation based on intellect and not on revelation.

So, be careful what you buy into and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

That is a command from Jesus. I think we need to be less sheeple and more Berean in our approach to what people say from a pulpit or in a book. I heard a good man preach last night. He made some claims that didn't sound true. I looked them up. They weren't. Yet, i didn't discount everything he said. I WAS ministered to. I DID benefit. I do appreciate his ministry in spite of his evident error.

I hope that helps. It's OK to have an opinion, but that's all it is. There are certain things that are not Opinion, they are absolutes, Jesus is LORD is a good start.

Be careful what battles you engage in. Some aren't worth fighting. End times is one.

Bobby Conner: Come Up Higher! Abiding in Peace in a World Gone Mad

Bobby Conner

The devastating earthquakes and tsunami in Japan – leaving unparalleled death and destruction – have shaken and stunned the entire world. Every nation is watching as temperatures of damaged nuclear reactors climb toward meltdown levels. The possibility of a disaster greater than Chernobyl looms large.

Who can deny that the world is experiencing disasters of epic, catastrophic proportions? Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, record-setting blizzards and heat waves, droughts and floods, hailstorms and tornados wreak havoc on every continent.

On February 22, a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck six miles from the beautiful city of Christchurch, New Zealand – with Scripture possibly being fulfilled before our eyes, that judgment begins in "Christ's Church," the House of God.

Floods in Queensland, Australia, beginning in December 2010, set record levels, impacting more than 200,000 people. Texas has also experienced devastating floods, as have other parts of the United States.

On the political front – in Iran, Libya, North Korea – demonic mad men hold seats of power.

Who can deny that the foundations of earth are being shaken? Scripture warns us of the times at hand, stating, "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth" (Luke 21:26).

Where Will We Find Peace and Clear Direction?

Fervent prayer is needed. In the midst of these planetary upheavals, we are invited to pray for wisdom, as James 1:5 encourages us to do:

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

In John 10:27, the Lord promises guidance to His sheep: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

If we have trouble hearing His voice, we can earnestly pray and petition God to remove anything and everything hindering us from clearly hearing His voice. Having ears to hear the voice of the Lord is crucial, more crucial now than ever before. Claim the promise found in Matthew 13:16: "...blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear."

In following the Word of the Lord, we encounter Christ Jesus as our "Prince of Peace." He is the Author and Giver of Peace. And once you hear Him, follow the Lamb wherever He leads (Revelation 14:4). The Word of God will be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105, 130). The Christian life is not lived stumbling in the darkness but walking in the light (1 John 1:5-10).

Beloved, know that the world will increase in darkness, but for the true children of God, the light of the Lord will shine brighter and brighter (Isaiah 60:1-3).

We are living in unprecedented times: Never before has there been such an opportunity for advancement in the revelation of the love, joy and peace of God. The Church truly stands at an open door and the Lord has extended His invitation for us to, "Come up higher" (Revelation 4:1-4).

Notice these verses in Isaiah 21:11-12:

"Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?" The watchman said, "The morning cometh, and also the night..."

Just as the prophet reported about the night and the light appearing at the same time, these days also will be days of great contrast: joy and sorrow, jubilation and depression, life and death, peace and anarchy.

Only, only – as we place our very life, wholly and radically, in the care and keeping of our beloved Christ the King, yielding to Him moment by moment, will we experience increasing light during these days of world chaos. Only as we guard our hearts from fear by the promises of God's Word – perfect love casting out fear (I John 4:18) will we experience true stability.

Perfect love casts out fear. What does it mean to cast out? To cast out means to pour out, to let go of, not giving a second thought to its source. We can't think any thoughts that are fear-based when we put on the mind of Christ – for His mind doesn't contain one thought that is fearful.

Only as we keep our thoughts focused upon the Living Word will we experience lasting peace, as we are promised in Isaiah 26:3:

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

The Importance of Praise

O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You, among the nations. For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and Your glory above all the earth; that Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand, and hear me...

Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.—Psalm 108:1-6, 12-13

Here is the secret of peace and joy: As we praise the Lord and extol His holy name, immense, immediate help is released directly from the Kingdom of God within us.

The last statement of this Psalm is key as the foundations of earth are shaken: "Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies."

The Importance of Being Spiritually Minded

How will these challenging times affect our lives? We have a choice in the matter:

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spirituality minded is life and peace (Romans 8:5-6).

When we set our "mindset" – our mind, will and emotion – on the Word of God, we will experience "joy unspeakable and full of glory" (1 Peter 1:8) as He overcomes in and through us.

Our walk with Jesus Christ will make all the difference. Grace will be released to us if we turn to Christ with a desperate heart, full of His faith. And even when we doubt and fear, His grace is still efficacious, always sufficient.

If we choose unbelief, perhaps even rebellion, our deception will now be judged. The judgment of the Lord is His mercy, a corrective device of His grace, through which He shows us His "straight stick," His Shepherd's rod, placed next to our crooked ways to help us return to love.

In Acts 5, we read how the Lord's judgment came quickly to Ananias and Sapphira. What was their sin? Lying about their hearts' devotion to the Lord. May it never be!

This type of deception will now also be judged. The Lord is seeking to draw us into the purity of His heart so we can become the dispensers of His deeds, desires and redeeming, unconditional love and mercy, in a world where the hearts of many have grown cold.

These are days when the battle for our minds will rage like never before. Our enemy will try to cause us to divert our eyes from the Lord and focus on the events occurring on earth rather than on His victory won at the Cross: He conquered sin, death and the grave at Calvary.

Now is the time to give earnest heed to Romans 8:5-6:

"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace."

Let these words sink deeply into your soul, for they will be life and peace to those who will hear and obey. Meditate on the precious promises of God as you drive, as you work, as you play with your children or talk to your spouse. Become a doer of the Word – casting ALL your care on Him – and not just a hearer (James 1:22).

How do we "do" the Word? The Scriptures instruct us to set our minds "on things above" (Colossians 3:2) and think on things that are pure and honest and good (Philippians 4:8). This is how we become a "doer" of the Word.

Truly, the most urgent battle is not for our 401k accounts or mortgages – but for our minds. Proverbs 23:7 informs us, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." We must keep our minds focused and stayed on the Lord (Isaiah 26:3). What we set our minds on will determine how we live.

May the Spirit of God open the eyes of our understanding to give us wisdom and direction during these apocalyptic, dark days! Let us return to God with all our heart, yielding to Him in every area of our life – because He is a very present help in the times of trouble. His love is real and His plans are for our good, not harm (Jeremiah 29:11).

Pray for the people in these devastated areas and seek to help them practically as the Lord leads.

God bless you and your loved ones!

Is all Prophetic Gloom and Doom?

No.

Some is.

Some people won't believe.

Some people believe a lie.

Be careful to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying?

In that spirit, I offer this from Rick Joyner regarding the Earthquake in Japan, the California Quake, the Coming economic meltdown.

SO, the question is....what do we do with all this? I think you need to hear for yourself.

America's U Turn? by Adam Gouroutidi

I saw this today and thought it had merit....I often publish other people's prophetic visions if they stir something in me. This did.

In a vision I saw an American street, with many different cars heading their way. There was one gold coloured car which made a 180 degree turn and changed course. I came to understand that in the US there are many cars that represent many aspects of life that go their way, but there is one gold coloured car which represents the church, the body of believers that suddenly makes a Uturn because of the realization that it was going where it was not supposed to go. It felt like it is a restoration of a kind, a return to the original destination.

Some days after that while in prayer I heard a crowd, shouting as one man with one voice ''USA, USA, USA...'' and immediately I was informed in my spirit that a new name has been given to the USA. No more will the nation be called USA but USAA and that means United Stand Against Antichrist!

Please notice I am not an American!

That Teaching (Truth) you are Getting (or preaching) may NOT set people FREE - A Prophetic Warning

Teaching doesn't set people free, Revelation does.

You can be shown, be told, instructed, given, read, hear or even PREACH truth and still be in bondage.

Being taught without ears to hear (the ability to have the Spirit of God convert truth into revelation) is a vain exercise too many engage in knowledge collecting without revelation of how it can change their lives.

Paul in 1 Corinthians 8:1-2 speaks to this: "We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. 2 And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know."

Sometimes the rush to be deep keeps people from receiving revelation. Sometimes the desire to appear intelligent causes teachers of the word to twist scripture to say things that in fact become stumbling blocks. People develop pet theologies and they become salesmen for those theologies. It sells books. It fills conferences. It generates offerings. It causes people to think they have an edge on the truth that everyone else is missing. It's all baloney.

Paul fought this too:

1 Corinthians 2

Paul’s Message of Wisdom

1 When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan. 2 For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. 5 I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

6 Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten. 7 No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. 8 But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. 9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,

and no mind has imagined

what God has prepared

for those who love him.”

The church has become so fleshly, so carnal that people are hungry for "wisdom", Biblical hiddens, secrets, things only known by God. They run to and fro seeking the next hot thing.

Not even Jesus as Incarnate Knows things that these wise preachers now proclaim with confidence. It breaks my heart. It broke the heart of the Apostle Paul and it breaks the heart of God (If his heart can be broken). Who do they think they are?

We must go back to preaching and teaching words that bring revelation, not confusion. It's been a long time since I have heard such.

Here's the spiritual test: Will this be wisdom that wins souls? Will this break yokes of bondage? Will this provide blessed hope? Will this teaching manifest in people's lives in

  1. Love
  2. Joy
  3. Peace
  4. Longsuffering
  5. Kindness
  6. Goodness
  7. Faithfulness
  8. Gentleness
  9. Self-control

What will be the net result, the outcome, the manifestation of this teaching? That is the question. Where are you taking this people Pastor, Apostle, Prophet?

That is why I am so grieved at the error filled and presumptuous teachings on the end times that seem to have accelerated particularly after the Tsunami and Earthquake.

We should be well acquainted with Ezekiel, Daniel, Matthew 24, Thessalonians, Revelation and a hundred other places that seem to address the end of the age, the end of the world, the judgment, the persecutions, the times of trouble and place them deep in our spirit. Let them instruct us on how to live. Let them create an understanding and a revelation of how things happen in the spirit realm. Then ask yourself the question, in view of all these things, HOW then should we live?

Here is a truth from the Throne of God. No matter what you believe about the end times, you know very little with any certainty whatsoever. Whatever certainty you have is fraught with error, human understanding, reason, logic and books written by people as confused as you are. Let the Spirit of GOD, the Holy Spirit given to you, Teach YOU all things. That's his job. It is in this ONE area where the greatest damage can be done to a believer. False teaching can lead to false revelation and that will lead to false manifestations in people's lives. Too much of this fleshly puffed up preaching is going on right now.

The Spirit of God says...Consider your Ways. God will bring judgment on those who continue to lead people into places never intended. He will silence those who tickle men's ears. He loves his sheep more than he cares about the reputation or place of his shepherds.

Don't find yourself weighed in the balance and found wanting.

Prophecy - Events Coming To America Over The Next 10 Years --- John Paul Jackson

John Paul Jackson (Streams Ministries International http://www.streamsministries.com) released a prophetic word recently about a “perfect storm” of crises coming against our nation. I have always had respect for Jackson’s prophetic ministry and wanted to pass along some excerpts in which explains what he believes God has shown him is about to happen in America and the world over the next 10 years. There are interesting prophecies on natural disasters, the economy, abortion, Islam, etc. (The following information has NOT been edited or changed)

THE ECONOMY

JOHN PAUL: Well some of the things I saw was the issue of the corruption that would be taking place, and there’s way more corruption still going to happen, and will be exposed. There were some things regarding the bail-out program that was announced last Fall. Before it happened, the Lord showed me that that was going to be happening, and there would be even more bail-outs that would happen. There would programs that would be implemented that would be more injurious to our economic structure than had previously been thought, but there would be a surprise element in them, and they would not help our economy at all. In fact, it would be very destructive to the economy. The Lord began to talk to me about this man who would be elected, who would be a savior. He would see himself as a savior, a liberator of some type, and that in that, he would then seek forth to put in programs that would be, again, injuriously, injurious to the economic structure of the United States. And those programs would be designed to help the people he was trying to liberate, and that would not be a good thing.

THE YEARS 2010 – 2012

JOHN PAUL: I saw the year 2010 was going to be very difficult, especially as you get further into 2010. I saw the year, I kept hearing an angel saying in a deep loud voice, “The woes of 2012. The woes of 2012. The woes of 2012.” I don’t know what those woes are, Sid. The angel did not tell me about those woes. But there was more emphasis on those woes than almost anything else that I was given.

GEOPHYSICAL EVENTS

JOHN PAUL: Some of the things I saw that were going to be coming or were quite shaking. And one of them was the issue of drought and the issue of water becoming very, very expensive, and at some point in the future, there will be cities that water from tap, right from your kitchen faucet will be more expensive than oil is. So it’s not like talking about going to the store and buying a gallon of water. We’re talking about water that’s normally fairly inexpensive becoming very expensive. In fact, some of the things that I saw was there would be various cities in the United States that would have to evacuate thousands of people because there wasn’t enough water in the reservoirs and in the aquifers that they get the water from, to get water to all the people.

FOOD SHORTAGES

JOHN PAUL: I saw a blight coming to hybrid seeds, and that would bring a type of famine to the United States. So the hybrid seeds that have been propagated by various large, huge corporations, supposedly resistant to all kinds of things, there’s something in the DNA structure of how they propagated everything, and it will actually allow for a blight to come. Some of the seeds won’t break the ground. Some of the seeds will break the ground but never bear fruit, and so you’ll end up seeing maybe green out in the fields. There will be enough rain for them in certain areas, but they won’t come to seed. So there won’t be the corn that will be normally in the ear. There won’t be the wheat that is normally in the head of wheat. So that creates a major food shortage.

CRIME

JOHN PAUL: Well crime, I saw crime increasing for several reasons. One, economically
because there’s so many people unemployed. We’re at double-digit unemployment. And I’ve been talking about as high as over 12 percent unemployment before it’s all said and done. And that was way before, you know, at that time it was 4.5 percent, I believe, when I started talking about. But I also saw unemployment because of the economic decisions that are going to be made. I also saw the food shortages further harming the unemployed because food will be so expensive they couldn’t afford to get it. And so then, you end up seeing people actually robbing food trucks that would carry food to grocery stores. And when they would come and there would have to be armed guards riding the food trucks in order to keep the food truck waylaid or hijacked.

CHINA AND ISLAM

JOHN PAUL: Yeah. One of the plans of the enemy--There’s going to be fear because of just God saying, “I’m God, you’re not,” and one of return of the fear of God to the church, first and foremost, and then to the nation. But one of the plans of the enemies is going to try to capitalize on that fear. So you have enemies of the United States that are going to be doing issues. Both China as well as the Islamic community are doing things to the United States. They’re going to begin to generate fear. And so they’re going to be doing things with the school systems. They’re going to be doing things with malls, shopping malls. There will be explosions in shopping malls that will make people afraid to go to high-traffic areas like malls would be. I saw a lot of malls closing down, and interestingly enough, because of the storms that happen in some of the cities, the malls were actually used as housing for the people who didn’t have homes.

POPULATION SHIFTS/MIGRATION

JOHN PAUL: I did. I saw a migration of people out of big cities because of the fear that was there. There was fear of what would happen in the school systems. There was fear of what was going to be happening in just high-traffic volume areas. Various bombs will go off and people would be killed, and so people were afraid to be going, almost like suicide bombers in Israel, when they had suicide bombers on the buses and things, which, by the way, is going to be increasing. But it’s going to be happening here in America, not just suicide bombers, but actually bombs that would be left in various places that would detonate at a certain time. People are going to be moving to rural areas in order to keep their children safe from the urbanization and fear. There was a couple of cities where people in various inner city areas would actually try to dig up the pavement. They would get unused back hoes and use that to try to pull the asphalt streets up, and try to then plant seeds in the dirt underneath the asphalt streets.

ISLAM

JOHN PAUL: Well, the Islamic community is going to continue to make inroads into the
political arenas. They’ve got a multiplication project that is designed specifically on their part. It’s a hundred-year plan. At least that’s what the Lord showed me, a hundred-year plan that they have that, and I’m not saying that it’s going to be a hundred years before the Lord comes back. It’s their hundred-year plan. So, but they’re hundred-year plan is basically to have a president in the office, a President of the United States in office by 2024, that their plan is to have, before that date, to have mayors of cites, governors of states, elected and in place before then, to have congressmen and senators in place before then, and then after that, to have judge, more than one judge on the Supreme Court in order to change the laws and implement more of an Islamic law into the United States. Islamic prayer would be allowed and Christian prayer would not be allowed in American schools.

OBAMA ASSASINATION ATTEMPT

JOHN PAUL: I saw that there was going to be an attempt upon his (President Obama) life. I saw that it was going to be by the Islamic community, but make it look like it was racially motivated. And of course, we should pray that this not happen. But if it happens, there would be incredible race riots in the streets like we’ve never seen before in this nation, and it would be worse than Rwanda.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions
