Love Song for Jesus

A lot of people are critical of music that is pejoratively labeled "Jesus is my Boyfriend" that is on the market today. Some would say, this is new. It's not. I picked this up from Prophezei.

What most people that read this don't know is this poem is used in the Opera "Dr Atomic". When I read this I immediately recognized it.

When we have passion for Jesus we express it from the heart. I'm not offended by deep love for Him. If it sounds boyfriendly I wonder what is wrong with that? We have too little passion for Jesus, not too much.

John Donne

HOLY SONNETS.

XIV.

Batter my heart, three-person'd God ; for you
As yet but knock ; breathe, shine, and seek to mend ;
That I may rise, and stand, o'erthrow me, and bend
Your force, to break, blow, burn, and make me new.
I, like an usurp'd town, to another due,
Labour to admit you, but O, to no end.
Reason, your viceroy in me, me should defend,
But is captived, and proves weak or untrue.
Yet dearly I love you, and would be loved fain,
But am betroth'd unto your enemy ;
Divorce me, untie, or break that knot again,
Take me to you, imprison me, for I,
Except you enthrall me, never shall be free,
Nor ever chaste, except you ravish me.

WOW!!! HOT HOT HOT!
I KIKE it! I kinda think God thinks so too:

Rev 3:15 I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!
Rev 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!
