I am and I am not a universalist by Robert Farrar Capon

The whole universalist theology is a problem.  I believe in Heaven and a Hell.  I do believe that people who die without trusting Christ as presented to them (Read Romans for more) are lost.  More than that reality,  I believe in GOD'S love, his passion towards His creation.  I believe that it's hard to go to hell once you have come into the knowlege of the True and Living God.  One you have said...YES it's done.  It's a difficult theology.. yet not so hard.  We must embrace the reality of God's finished work in Jesus.  Once we do...  clawing your way to hell is nearly impossible. At least that's what Jesus said. "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand".   John 10:28

 From Robert Farrar Capon
“I am and I am not a universalist. I am one if you are talking about what God in Christ has done to save the world. The Lamb of God has not taken away the sins of some — of only the good, or the cooperative, or the select few who can manage to get their act together and die as perfect peaches. He has taken away the sins of the world — of every last being in it — and he has dropped them down the black hole of Jesus’ death. On the cross, he has shut up forever on the subject of guilt: “There is therefore now no condemnation… .” All human beings, at all times and places, are home free whether they know it or not, feel it or not, believe it or not. But I am not a universalist if you are talking about what people may do about accepting that happy-go-lucky gift of God’s grace. I take with utter seriousness everything that Jesus had to say about hell, including the eternal torment that such a foolish non-acceptance of his already-given acceptance must entail. All theologians who hold Scripture to be the Word of God must inevitably include in their work a tractate on hell. But I will not — because Jesus did not — locate hell outside the realm of grace. Grace is forever sovereign, even in Jesus’ parables of judgment. No one is ever kicked out at the end of those parables who wasn’t included in at the beginning.” —

The law is good if used lawfully take Israel as an example or read Hebrews true love will bring correction. there is a point of no return ask annanias and saphira demas exc. be well balanced take the whole council of Gods Word this is a hard message know the difference between conviction and condemnation the place of repentance. and when all else fails 1Jo 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:1Cr 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.1Jo 4:1¶Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. THE NEW LIVING TRANSLASION IS EASIEST TO UNDERSTAND THIS IS WHAT JESUS TOLD HIS SOON TO BE APOSTLES.THERE IS ONLY ONE NONCONVERTED HEART HERE.
Mar 4:10
¶ And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
Mar 4:11
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all [these] things are done in parables:
Mar 4:12
That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them.
Mar 4:13
¶ And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
They can be taught in different aspects as being proportionate to life. BUT THE WARNINGS AND PERILS ARE MADE CLEAR IN THE REST OF THE PASSAGE.
