Today another Prophet, Matt Sorger confirmed independently that this is on the Mind of God.
I won't expose the problem here. That's for others to do. Sufficient to say there are real problems. And as Pentecostals we seem to turn off our discerner when it comes to money. This is particularly true in times of financial difficulties. During the last economic downturn whole congregations were led to financial destruction by pastors and leaders who got them into some of the most inane financial schemes ever. You see even whole ministries buying into these speculations from hell.
We believe in myths and old wives tales. Paul told Timothy to avoid these. 1 Timothy 4: 7Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly
Here are a few myths and old wives tales:
- The Lottery
- Multi Level Marketing
- Debt Cancellation because the Fed is a Fraud
- Free Money from the Government in the form of Grants
- Excesses of Christian Ministries (TV) that suck life out of the local Church
I don't know why Pentecostals are so prone to buy into these myths except we believe in miracles, loaves and fish and all that. So we leap off the high cliff and expect the angels to bear us up. Jesus wouldn't even do this.
When it doesn't work out we blame God as we go splat on the ground.
He didn't do it. He doesn't always cause natural disasters either. He might use them for his purpose and withhold his hand of protection. But sometimes like the bumper sticker on the back of the pickup truck in Forrest Gump....."thing" happens. (Edited for family distribution).
