~ THE PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE OF HURRICANE SANDY ~
The Name Sandy is short for Sandra. A diminutive of Casirnir, Cassandra, or Catherine. In English, the name Sandra means- "Unheeded prophetess or prophecy"
For to long America has disregarded her national prophecies; instead she has foolishly turned her ear mute concerning the voice of the Lord.
I believe that Daddy God is trying to get America's attention by using "Sandy" and reminding her to take heed of the warnings that he has sent her and to take heed of the national prophecies she has yet to fulfill.
I believe we have yet to see the greatest days for this nation, but the first steps towards this will be for her to humble herself and repent.
It is time to "Take Heed" to the Voice of the Lord!
Here are some scriptures for the "Body of Christ" to Take Heed to
1.) Take Heed that you worship no other but Him. Radically Worship the Lord.
Exodus 34:12 & 14
"Take heed to thyself...For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:"
2.) Take Heed that you speak the what Daddy God says
Numbers 23:12
"And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?"
3.) Take Heed to the statues that God has place in this country, Take Heed to His Law with your soul and Take Heed to teach them to your children.
Deuteronomy 4:8-9
"And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
Only Take Heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons.."
4.) Take Heed to the Covenant He has made with you
Deuteronomy 4:23
"Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you..."
5.) Take Heed that you do not become Deceived
Deuteronomy 11:16
"Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them..."
6.) Take Heed and remember we are His people
Deuteronomy 27:9
"Take heed , and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God."
7.) Take Heed for He has called you to build His "House"
1 Chronicles 28:10
"Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it."

While I agree that Americans do need to repent and return to God, you're using Replacement Theology to incorrectly attribute things God spoke to Israel to America. God never established a covenant with America. The Church of Jesus Christ is the new Covenant People, Israel, not America. America doesn't have prophets. The Church does. How can America obey a prophecy they never received? I think you're stretching Sandy into something she's not. Hurricanes happen, all the time. Are they all God's judgment? Are all tornadoes and other natural phenomena also God's judgment? Until someone stands in Congress or announces from the Today show that they are a prophet from God and that God will bring a hurricane in 3 weeks as judgment if you don't repent . . . and then it actually happens . . . then I don't see how any natural storm ever lines up to the way God works. I don't see any prophets operating with that kind of accuracy or authority in the Church today. Many like to think they are, but they aren't. Not a single prophet predicted Sandy in advance. Lots are sitting back afterward trying to read meaning into it, but that's not prophetic, that's using your imagination to align with your beliefs.
