When I can't live by sight

It seems like everything I read, hear and watch screams that things are going to be OK, the economy is fine, the power brokers are breaking right and there's nothing to worry your pretty little head about.

Yet, I'm not prepared to accept what I see. Living by faith in the world's information will lead you into oblivion.

Smith Wigglesworth said, "I'm not moved by what I see, I'm not moved by what I hear, I'm just moved by the Mighty Word of GOD". That is the truth.

I do NOT have any sense that what I am hearing and seeing in the world around us is anything less than a well designed nose and glasses disguise purposed to obscure the truth of our situation.

I sought the Lord and he said,
"I am the truth. You will find true freedom from fear in ME alone. The lies that disturb you are crafted by the father of all lies. Incline your ear to ME. I will give you rest."

I'm reading a book called 'Reading Revelation Responsibly' I think you'd like it. Many of your recent posts seem to be in parallel with the overlying theme of that book.

All of which is affirming a simple truth growing stronger in my heart: All earthly empires (and politics and systems etc) are corrupt, deceptive, and will eventually fail, but His empire is forever, and will not fail and that is what our hope is in, and therefore we do not have reason to worry. We are not to put hope in the seductive lies being told to us from earthly empires, but rather rely on and stay true to His eternal throne!
