Mountains are easier to move...

Many Christians believe what Jesus spoke is true:

"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Mark 11:23

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. Matthew 21:21

Lots of people profess mountain moving faith. They haven't seen any mountains move lately, but they are pretty sure they could...if only.

Yet the haunting thing is Jesus, He who was there at creation, the fullness of the Godhead says over and over and over again. "I TELL YOU THE TRUTH". He is double saying it ...these are the facts.

So Christians take Him at his word. They believe but don't see. The mustard seed needed isn't there. Doubt has becomes the neck of the funnel of blessing.

Knowing the truth doesn't mean it will manifest in your life. Many have heard, know, even believe the word of the Lord but if it's not mixed with faith...it has no value:

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Hebrews 4:2

This morning I was prompted of the Holy Spirit to encourage those who have believed for healing, for restoration, for change, for a mountain to move that there is a key in what Jesus said. A mountain is big. You can see it. It has structure and seems unmovable. Imposing. Unrelenting in it's existence.

On the other hand you have the word of the one who spoke that mountain into being and by whom it is held together by His will and His word.
He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Colossians 1:17

The Son radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. Hebrews 1:3a

And if you believe that (and you should) then YOU TOO are right there with him:
For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6

What this means is we need not be afraid of the mountains in our lives no matter how big nor small they are. They are subject to the Word of God in YOUR mouth...... Or Jesus LIED..

This has to do with healing in many ways. The children's bread. Your due. If you have an issue, speak to it. If its cancer cells, without doubt, speak to them, get the mustard seed and hold it up. They are tiny mountains, but mountains none the less. They MUST listen to the word of the Lord in your mouth. Address them directly. Don't ask GOD to move the mountain. YOU TELL the mountain to move. Use the authority given you. Don't ask me or anyone else to speak to your mountain. YOU are given the authority. Pray, in the Holy Ghost, build yourself up in your most Holy Faith and Then SPEAK to the situation.

Every cell in your body in the spirit hears what you say. Has to respond to your faith. It doesn't have to be loud. It does need to have faith mixed with the word.

There has been a pendulum swing in the Body of Christ and it's time to turn it back. Pastoral people have been critical of some who would say to a person, "you would be healed if you had enough faith". That can be cruel. It can be heartless to say such a thing to a suffering person.

Yet, Jesus did just such a thing. You know the story... the money quote is, "I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief".

Mark 9:17-27
“Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. 18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”

19 “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”

“From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

Was that cruel? Was that hardhearted? Or was it right to say to the man and the disciples, ONLY BELIEVE. Have Faith in God. Have the Faith OF GOD. YOU SPEAK to the mountain.

A R W Schambach used to say as his byline: "You don't have any trouble all you need is faith in God!"

This morning I was prompted to once again encourage YOU as Jesus did to have faith and speak to the mountains big and small in your life and believe God's word in your mouth. You have the power to move them... only believe. Now go speak to that mountain!
