When you are Down to your Last Few Bullets

I was never in active combat. What I know about it from TV, movies, books and Friends.

One scene that is always compelling, the good guys are outgunned. They are down to a handful of bullets. They figure out that if they keep wasting rounds like they are they will be killed. So with careful accuracy, few well placed shots, they one at a time take out the bad guys. Victory.

That probably doesn't happen in real life very often. I have heard war stories like that.

We are all like this. We are arrows loosed by the Father for specific purpose in this life. The thought that we are fired once and that is it is a fallacy. We are loosed, gathered up, repositioned in His Holy Ghost Bow and loosed again. It's a picture that we need to grasp. Father is constantly re-aiming us. Oswald Chambers wrote on this:

“Patience is more than endurance. A saint’s life is in the hands of God like a bow and arrow in the hands of an archer. God is aiming at something the saint cannot see, and He stretches and strains, and every now and again the saint says–’I cannot stand anymore.’ God does not heed, He goes on stretching till His purpose is in sight, then He lets fly. Trust yourself in God’s hands. Maintain your relationship to Jesus Christ by the patience of faith. ‘Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.’”

Oswald Chambers

We can refuse to be loosed. We can restrain the hand of God. Disobedience can cause us to derail the plans and purposes Father has for us.

We are engaged in deadly spiritual warfare. We are given the years of our life as weapons to do battle against the evil one. When we waste our time and energies on things that are without impact we are like those pinned down good guys shooting without aiming. Foolish.

I am prophetically speaking to someone who in reading this recognizes that they are wasting their time. Wasting their time doing what they are doing. Wasting their time in a wrong church. Wasting their time hanging around with wrong people. Wasting their time in ungodly diversions. That is a crime when the enemy has lots of ammunition and you only have the years of your life left that will bring you to the end of days...and when you stand before the Bema seat, the question will be asked how you spent your years...fruitfully or wood hay and stubble? Were you a faithful arrow for God?

You only have a few bullets left. For some who read this it might be 10-20-30-40 years before your time is spent. You must follow His aim carefully. Not wasting time. IF you are going to have maximum impact on tearing down the devils domain, you must be aggressive in cutting out things that rob you of the arrow you are.

"Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light." Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Ephesians 5:14-17
It's time to prune out everything that is in your life that is restraining you from being the arrow for God you were destined to be. Use your last few bullets wisely...

Everything depends on it...everything
