PEOPLE UNDER THE SPELL OF JEZEBEL WILL DO GOOD WORKS by David Wilkerson [May 19, 1931 – April 27, 2011]

If you read Revelation 2:18-29 you will see that Christ warned the church against the doctrine of Jezebel. "Thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols" (Revelation 2:20).

The Greek word here for Jezebel is a synonym for a “false teacher.” She clearly represents false doctrines. Jesus clears it up by continuing,

"As many as have not this doctrine" (Revelation 2:24).

Here is a group of God's people, full of good works and charity, having a form of faith and patience.
But with all that is good and commendable, something very dangerous is going on, something so seductive that Christ warns He will send judgment and make them an example to all the churches.

Certain members of the church were selling out to Satan. Their good works, charity, service, faith and patience were overshadowed by a seduction of false doctrine. They were under the spell of a false teaching, a teaching that came disguised as the true Word but was, in fact, evil.

It is dangerous to sit under wrong teaching and Christ does not take this matter lightly. His eyes are piercing the Church, and He has come to warn, expose and save His people from this terrible seduction. Where you go to church, who you are listening to, the teaching that has your heart is very, very serious.

The mark of a seduced Christian is that he is "carried about" seeking some new, different, strange teaching. The Bible warns, "Be not carried about with different and strange doctrines" (Hebrews 13:9). This is speaking of running from place to place, seminar to convention, church to church, having no roots. The ears of such people are always itching to hear something new, something sensational, something entertaining, something pleasing to their flesh.

We get them at Times Square Church: gadabouts, human tumbleweeds riding the winds of doctrines. They resemble the Athenians who "spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing" (Acts 17:21). Paul warned Timothy, "They will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" (2 Timothy 4:3).

While I enjoyed the article immensely. This verse comes to me As many as received Him. He gave power to become sons of God. There is a greek word for son and a greek word for child.Hebrews 13:9 The application here is fearful. 1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism,One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he agave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:Paul said a double minded man will receive nothing. God takes no pleasure in those that draw back. A man made division of professing Christians with their version of doctrine. While we can dispute over understanding some things. There is foundational apostolic doctrine if not under stood. For instance in peter some of the hard things paul spoke of teachers not understanding being deceived and leading many astray. the vision of the fishing derby you posted awhile back comes to mind. The fish caught flopped on the boat could not eat or drink by themselves yet many ministers went right on.the text of tossed to and fro and refusal to grow is a warning to every Christian. If ye endure chastening you will be sons. It is sons who are led of the Spiirit. many are given no understanding of foundational doctorines. entire denominations/churches deny the Holy Spirits movement and adoption in the time period of the bible was totally different than what American adoption means. The parable of the two sons reflects that. Wether a blood relative or adopted to bear the family name in royalty one would be given to a governer or tutor of some sort taught to handle affairs if one did not prove himself capable then that name was not given nor the authority that went with it.According to an evangelist with a doctorate that evangelizes india Africa and other nations. As I talked with him he said you study I said what do you mean he said most americamns I talked to even ministers don' they don't study. because at least in America if they understood the original language as English is you and much less intricate and detailed even hard to translate. Many would have to change what their preaching. It helps to know the culture of the times to understand as they understood. I know that there are many who love God yet many more with a form of religion denying the empowering Spirit. In much christianitys structure in America does resemble the tower of bable and rebellion of korah. The more God teaches me the more I see it as he views things in a large degree according to what he directed us according to His written Word. Yet people are complacent and many even ministers unconcerned that God is neither moving in their churches or according to His command in 1 cor 1:14. He's patient but for a church without spot or blemish ultimately there will be a final separation as Jesus himself said He will lose angels to see to it.

You know thank God for the old timers. Good ole t.Austin sparks revealed this to me and is not even living anymore. rightly dividing the Word.Message the Grace of God)-reveals a mistranslation in titus. Tts 2:11For the grace of God that
bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Tts 2:12Teaching us that, denying
ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and
godly, in this present world; That Word teaching is the same as chastening. By not
understanding. That part of grace according to the bible is teaching or in
the original language-Strong's G3811 - paideuō 1. to train children
1. to be instructed or taught or learn2. to cause one to learn
2. to chastise1. to chastise or castigate with words, to correct1. of those who are moulding the character of others by
reproof and admonition2. of God 1. to chasten by the affliction of evils and calamities
3. to chastise with blows, to scourge1. of a father punishing his son
2. of a judge ordering one to be scourged3.Message (threshing -the lords method) Many people are denying the means and intents Gods will use to prepare A spotless bride pure of heart for His Son. Some are teaching grace so imbalanced in not integrating central truths of the new testament it
is almost deceptive.t.austin sparksHebrews (yet once more heaven and earth shall be shaken)
Read in Hebrew what God said concerning the Sons of God read in Cortinhians the warning in communion. study out the warning in rev 2 and rev 3 according to the original language. Refuse to teach on repentance trial testing and chastening that can come from God tell them it's always the enemies fault. After awhile since they never learned to ask God what's going on or may have never learned repentance. Many may well fall away and be led astray due to lack of knowledge. Sometimes I think deception by ministers can come from things they neglect to tell the ones they where supposed to equip. No one told me.
