My dream The Civil War of the Church by Scott Harper

I had a dream-vision and in the dream-vision I saw that the Church was caught in a Civil War. This war is NOW going on and is a mirror image of our countries Civil War. The Confederate states-church vs this Union states-church. The Confederates were fighting to keep people bound in slavery and they had two flags, the Confederate flag and also the "Don't Tread On Me" flag which Satan himself had raised as a standard, representing himself! The Union states-churches had their flag and represented freedom. As I laid there watching this dream unfold, I was made aware by the Lord that there is a war going on in America. This war is happening on the battlefield called the Church. The UNION army dressed in blue representing Freedom-the New Covenant-cross-finished work-grace-sonship vs. The CONFEDERATE army representing Law-Old Covenant-works-carnal Christianity-Religious form-lacking power-ritual-traditions of men and false doctrines of men and Satan.

This war is meant by Satan to conquer and divide the Church into two Churches - the Holy Church and the Harlot Church. In the dream, the line had been drawn , the war had been engaged and the battle was in full effect as I watched the two sides start marching towards one another to fight. The UNION side was much smaller than the Confederate side and seemed to be at a huge disadvantage just by mere numbers. The Union side were not lined like you would expect an army to be lined up in formation, shoulder to shoulder and in rows. Instead, they were gathered together in small clusters as the marched. The Confederate side appeared to me to be much older, richer and much more organized. They seemed to have more unity and fire power and had an air about them...a pompous, cocky, attitude as they marched on together towards the smaller, rag tag Union company of soldiers.

As the two armies marched towards one another, I noticed that the Union soldiers seemed care free and had a glow about them, this all seemed new and exciting to them. They were not anything like the Confederate soldiers, who seemed to have this, been there, done that attitude and were acting like this would be an easy victory for them. Then to my surprise as the two armies got face to face, the Union army did not stop to raise their weapons or to engage battle with the Confederates!!! Instead, they just walked into the Confederate camp, spread out and started talking one on one with the Confederate soldiers. The faces of the Union soldiers were full of love, joy and faith, they were unorthodox in appearance to me.

The talking went on for some time, and then next, many of the Union soldiers started hugging, and putting their hands on the enemy soldiers backs, opening up their bibles and were laying down their weapons. The two armies then started sitting down together on the battle field. The Union soldiers continued sharing the Word with these Confederate men and were even praying with them. A Spirit of repentance eased over the battlefield like a fine mist and many of the confederate soldiers began to cry and then laugh and began to repent. Soon after this, I noticed that the Union soldiers would stand up, reach down and help the Confederate soldiers up. They would point to the Union side-camp and invite them to come over and join them and join their side, the Union side. This was the case for the mass majority of the Confederate soldiers, they were not fighting, they were switching over to the other side. Great excitement and joy rose up within me to see such a wonderful thing.

All of a sudden Satan with his flag bearer came out of a tent from the rear. He was quite enraged and was beating on and yelling at those leaders- generals who he had put in charge. He was obviously upset at this grand site. The battle that day was won by love, prayer, boldness, brotherhood and sharing of the Word, many soldiers converted and renewed their faith and came into proper Union with Christ. And as for Satan, well the ancient prophetic decree given way back was seen being fulfilled. Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel....Satans head was tread upon!!! My encouragement to you all is to embrace the grace message of Christs freedom he bought for us by his shed blood and finished work of the cross. We are co-crucified with him, our sin has been washed away. Your sins are not just covered beloved, your sins have been cleansed, they are forever gone. Your life did not just "changed" when you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, your life was "exchanged" and Christ gave you his life. He made you a new creation. You now live in union with Christ free from the law of sin and deaths slavery. You have been given the fullness of your inheritance in Christ. He who the Son sets free, is free indeed. Live your life in joy and in the ease and rest that has been provided you. There is now no more striving, no more DOING. It all has already been DONE for you... by Christ. Beloved, this is truly good news! Rejoice for you are righteous, and your steps are ordered by God. Love your neighbor into this truth and good news. Blessings and abounding blessings to you, in Christ :)

Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who bewitched you not to obey the truth, to whom before your eyes Jesus Christ was written among you crucified?
Gal 3:2 This only I would learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, do you now perfect yourself in the flesh?
