God is Jealous for his name and his Honor

I speak the word of the Lord this morning. Father is not content to be an afterthought. He wants you to know that it is for his NAMES SAKE that he does what he does on the earth. He is jealous for his honor. The Command of God is this:
Exodus 20:4-6 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that
is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the
earth: {5} Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve
them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the
iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and
fourth generation of them that hate me; {6} And showing mercy
unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the
LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

Deuteronomy 6:15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among
you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against
thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
He doesn't take lightly when people, particularly HIS people, those who call themselves by HIS name treat what he does on the earth as if it has no value, meaning or veracity. In particular in the Prophetic.

If the ungodly disdain the prophetic it is to their discredit, but for those called by his name to treat God's commands, encouragements and prophetic word like it has no value is inexcusable.

It happens because HIS PEOPLE think what Father does is for THEM. Because they are deserving, because they are the apple of his eye and HE will do what he does for Their Sake. This human centric spirit has caused at the same time false pride and false humility rooted in not knowing who God really is. That he is Jealous and does what he does for HIS NAMES SAKE.

Notice all that God does for “His name sake”:

  1. He leads us in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).
  2. He pardon’s our iniquity for His name’s sake (Psalm 25:11).
  3. He leads and guides us for His name’s sake (Psalm 31:3).
  4. He purges away our sins for His name’s sake (Psalm 79:9).
  5. He saved Israel for His name’s sake, so that He could make His mighty power to be known (Psalm 106:8).
  6. He does things for us for His name’s sake (Psalm 109:21).
  7. He quickens us for His name’s sake (Psalm 143:11).
  8. He defers His anger for His name’s sake (Isaiah 48:9).
  9. He does not abhor us or break His covenant for His name’s sake (Jeremiah 14:21).
  10. He works powerfully for His name’s sake so that it would not be polluted before the heathen (Ezekiel 20:9,14,22,44; 36:22).
  11. He forgives us for His name’s sake (1 John 2:12).

He says this most clearly in Ezekiel 36:22-31

This is what the Sovereign LORD says: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone. 23 I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show myself holy through you before their eyes. 24 " 'For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. 28 You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine. 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign LORD.

The important thing to note is that God does what he does to and for us because of HIS NAMES SAKE. It matters to him.

He causes then those who follow him to do what THEY do for His name's sake.
  1. Be hated of all men for His name’s sake (Matthew 10:22, Mark 13:13, Luke 21:17).
  2. Forsake houses, brethren, sisters, father, mother, wife, children, and lands for His name’s sake (Matthew 19:29).
  3. Be brought before kings and rulers for His name’s sake (Luke 21:12).
  4. Be persecuted for His name’s sake (John 15:21).
  5. Suffer for His name’s sake (Acts 9:16).
  6. Be sent forth taking nothing of the Gentiles for His name’s sake (3 John 1:7).
  7. Patiently endure persecution for His name’s sake (Revelation 2:3).
  8. Labor without fainting for His name’s sake (Revelation 2:3).
If that is all true then what does that have to do with HIS name and HIS honor when HIS word is brought forth by the Prophets? The church on the earth has become deaf to HIS word. They listen to lesser lovers. God is a jealous God. He does not take it well when we start listening to Satan (his enemy), inclining our ear and heart toward Satan. Just as a person becomes upset and jealous when his spouse shows signs of unfaithfulness and starts flirting with other people even so God becomes upset and jealous when we show signs of unfaithfulness and start flirting with Satan.

That is what is happening and has happened. The church no longer hears what the Spirit says because they listen to the spirit of the world. News, Dr's, Secular Counselers, world....

And when the Prophetic Voices say, "Did I Not Say".....they see it as pride. They are critical of the prophet expressing the Jealousy of God for his Name and call it pride.

As a prophet I have no more pride in my gift than the Evangelist has pride when a person gives his or her heart to Jesus, than a Teacher when an AHA moment takes place during a class, than a Pastor does when someone's hurt heart is soothed and healed or than an Apostle does when by clear direction a situation is made right.

It is NOT honoring to the name of God to treat what God has given as if it had no value.

IF a prophet, pastor, Evangelist, teacher or apostle does anything at all for less than HIS NAMES SAKE, then it is sin. If however He expresses Jealously for the Name of the Lord, that is the heart of God.

I speak this by the spirit of God and if it is rebuke, take it as such. We need to get ourselves off the throne and Put HIM back.
