Judging Prophesy Properly

I love to be prophesied over, and I love to prophesy over others, but I learned my part, that is to use to be used as a block, not a whole building. Sometimes a word is a keystone or foundational. Sometimes it's just an interesting, something for consideration. Kind of like an architectural feature.

There are some I have received I have to discard. Not really building materials. EDIFICATION means to build up.

Prophecy must do that to be real prophecy.

It must fill in places that help hold the whole together. I might be a stairway to a new place. It may point out a door that leads no where. It may warn of an open wire that can shock.

It always builds up. Edifies.

People don't always understand...but TRUE prophecy is never afraid of being judged.

Any master builder carefully judges the nature of the materials he incorporates in his structure. He considers them all. He selects the ones that lead to the vision. They are all important but they do not all take a prime place of visibility.

The Prophetic must be a Building Up. Edification.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
