Door Openings may not mean an Entrance - there just might be a dead end down that long hall

We are all ready to quote

Isaiah 22:22 I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

We use it for guidance. We use it for opportunity. We use it to tell ourselves that things are opening or closing for us. It's true, yet we must be discerning.

Sometimes we think we see an open door. It looks to us as if we can just walk thru into our destiny. Some doors seem very inviting. Some are even prettier than others. Then there are other doors that are unappealing. Even festooned with what look like a pack of snakes.

Try every door as you try every spirit. Not every spirit that says follow me is an open door.

Too many have gone shipwreck by pushing thru a door that was locked shut. Thinking they heard from God they plunged forward and found themselves at a dead end.

HOW then should we KNOW what door is or is not open? Which are entrances to destiny and others leading to a dead end maze?

First, let the Peace of God referee your decisions.
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossions 3:15
Second, seek God for confirmation of your door choices.
1. The confirmation of God's Word
2. Inner conviction
3. Practical circumstances
4. The counsel of godly, mature Christian friends
Third, wait for the timing of God. It might be the right door, but it might be the wrong time. Joseph in prison was at the door, but the time might not be yet.

Fourth, risk should always be able to provide triple reward if it's successful. In other words, if the potential for loss or reversal is small and the reward great, it may be a more open door than first perceived. It's when you put everything on the line and fail. I have done this and it's painful.

This is a difficult situation. Try hard to test it. The closed door is easy. The open doors are more difficult. You will notice I did NOT instruct you to seek a prophetic word. The Prophetic word won't tell you which is the right door, just what's on the other side of the right door.

GOD wants you to step into your destiny, he will show you the way, it will be just before your eyes and then you will find the door to "what's next". This was a word for someone who will read this today.

This is a good Word. I've learned real open doors are never "easy"-but then who of us want "easy"? I never have-hopefully you haven't either. The other end of the hallways: sometimes God removes you to protect you, too. I've just learned to stop, and listen. Sometimes it's takes just a little common sense, and all the time it takes the Holy Ghost to say "take you place". He hasn't been wrong yet.
