When Demons Win

We know that demonic influence is dangerous.  It causes people to throw themselves in the fire, to contort, to levitate, to vomit, to cause people to get away from you.

This is seen when people under demonic influence begin to create artificial distances from others.   In families I have known people to reject their family name, to change their birth name out of rebellion, to reject those who protected them and brought them up.

Demons will cause people to hide in caves, connect with like minded destructive behaviors.  There were TWO demoniacs in Gaderra.  Matthew 8:28.  When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.

We know that addicts will often band together. 

Demonic activity is often when people identify themselves as OTHER than all others.  This is seen with teenagers sometimes. Goth and other things was like this.  Sometimes they surround music groups.  Sometimes they are part of an identity group like white supremacists or Black Lives Matter.  If they continue on this path without deliverance they become "A Man Without a Country".  Alone.  Lost. Abandoned.   It's all a lie designed to destroy the saints.

The rejection of things without intent to harm will cause the demon oppressed to build walls between themselves and everyone else and then complain that there are walls between them and everyone else.  It's how demons do it.  They want you all by yourself, cut off, feeling rejected.

This takes is a strong prophetic voice. One which can cast out this demon that is born of a spirit of rejection.  We see this in our culture all the time. Symbolism becomes more important than solutions.  The capacity for frustration when the symbolism fails to manifest change creates more distance.  So they withdraw by the power of the demon and live in a graveyard of empty promises.

This has been true in every nation, every culture. There are malcontents who decide to push against the goads until they are injured.  The demons use people who think they are doing good, when in fact the Devil sees them as useful to his cause.  Division and distance is the desire of the demonic.  Jim Jones kept people separate.  And killed hundreds. 

We have such a thing going on in the national conversation, to a person who has discernment the fingerprints of satan are all over these things.  People find themselves marginalized, divided, discouraged and eventually lost.  They become like some of those strange freaks you see who overdo piercings and tattoos all over their faces until they have successfully separated themselves unto only others who are as equally destroyed.  

Is there hope?  Yes, like Jesus at Gaderra, we must call out the names of those who are causing these divisions and cast them out.  Not only spiritually but identifying them aloud.    Help those most susceptible to know when this spirit is on the march.  

Paul the Apostle knowing such men and women existed were causing problems, gave this admonition to the Romans:
Romans 16:
¹⁷ I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep your eyes on those who cause dissensions and create obstacles or introduce temptations [for others] to commit sin, [acting in ways] contrary to the doctrine which you have learned. Turn away from them. ¹⁸ For such people do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites and base desires. By smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting [the innocent and the naive].

Be ready to identify and call out those who are intent on destroying unity and creating division.  They are of the DEVIL and sometimes they win.  Look around you, we have such now in our culture.
