I was struck today by the NOT MANYs in the Bible. It seems like there is a tendency for Father to not depend on large numbers, not consensus, nor popular opinions, not democratic opinion, no focus groups, not cultural acceptance, not what the news media says.
No over and over and over again HE demonstrates his power and might by using the not many to put down the wise and powerful.
I will confess, sometimes I am discouraged. I feel like the witness of the Gospel is being lost to a perishing generation. That in 50 years there will be 27 christians left in the USA. I know it's not true. I know there will come a great falling away and then a great move of God.
Yet, I want to see things as God sees them. He says, "I don't NEED a majority, I AM the majority"
I could list hundreds of Bible examples where God only used a few or weak in the face of many to stand against the foe. Gideon, David and Goliath, the Few Loaves and Fishes, Rahab, One unable to speak, Moses, Twelve unlearned Disciples and many more.
HE admits it is his way to use the NOT MANY:
1 Corinthians 1:26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
It is thus today. Who was Moody? Who was the Plumber Wigglesworth? Who was a poor preacher from Atlanta M L King, Who was Booth (Salvation Army), Who were those nobodies on Azusa street led by William J Seymour who was so foolish he sat with a box over his head until he heard from GOD. That is a NOBODY, a NOT MANY if I ever heard one. YET nothing has been the same since.
The NOT MANY changed the world. With God nothing is impossible. You and GOD are THE MAJORITY.
We still have the "not many" changing the world. You don't have to get your picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone to make a difference. YES the world strives for recogniion. IF you are going to be a NOT MANY, you will have to stand against the MANY. That means you will be against what your culture, the media, the popular opinion calls good.
Be a NOT MANY.... that is who God uses.
Whenever I get such a word, I KNOW God gave it to me for a reason.

isn't it amazing how God can use anyone who happens to be in the right place at the right time! He is the word & the word is God! We are simply His instruments & He uses us as He sees fit! What a wonderful saviour we have in Jesus!

Sir this is off subject but a did you read the post by james gollithe verse he was given was concerning the judgement of God upon His chosen nation and well why he applies that to saving the U.S. and not to the house of God is beyond me .Thoughts? and then rick joyner. deacons are to run the church which is a direct violation of written scripture in cor and eph. and God has been dealing with me for weeks about if we walk in the light as He is in the Light we have fellowship with one another and His Blood cleanses us from all sin. Sir Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life. Walk according to the Spirit and ye will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.Those who are led (which takes fellowship and obedience by freewill are the Sons of God.) the passage in jude those not having the Spirit is translated as refusing to hold to not wlking with roughly. The foundational doctorine of repentance is still valid for confession of sin.Just as a few scriptural points. Sir this may be one of the most errant things I have ever seen rick joyner post.watchman nee was in prison for years and paul was led into the wilderness for years according to ricks teaching if they took communion without assembling with the saints they would be sick and dead. Sir can I get your thoughts. Even regarding this post I have a witness when I read golls post I had a sadness when I read joyners post I had alarm a check that turned to alarm bells, sadly He is not the only one misquoting this verse on national T.V. but at least they did not presume to teaching in the way He did. I went for a drive and prayed in tongues for awhile and figured i'd see if I could get some input. Again I can lay out scripture after scripture after scripture as to why ricks post should never have been posted for the Body to see. I would appreciate any comment.
