Colossians 3:23 ESV
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
1 John 2:15-16 ESV
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.
There is too little of it around. For that reason the enemy has snuck in and taken up a place that only passion can displace.
Romans 1:24-27 ESV
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
This reflects in our acceptance of a broken culture. a broken country, broken cities, a broken people without a fight.
1 Peter 1:13 ESV
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
James 1:2-4 ESV
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Our government is broken.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 ESV
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
Our future is in doubt without passion.
1 John 2:15-16 ESV
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.
Matthew 5:13 ESV
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
2 Timothy 4:3 ESV
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,
A lack of Passion is killing us.
Revelation 3:14-22 ESV“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. ...
TIME TO GET BACK TO BASICS
Deuteronomy 6:4-9 ESV
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. ...
This week as I prayed about a coming new season in my own life, I began to hear the Lord say that an "old season had passed and a new season has come." In the days that followed, I knew the word I had received was not just for me – it was for the Church.
"I
am calling you to exploits in My Kingdom that are beyond human
qualification and religious pedigree. I am calling you to places of raw
faith where your first step will seem to be without reason or
explanation.
"This
is a new day that I have made and its fullness and joy is waiting for
you to believe that what I have declared will be possible.
It
was to the last Church the Lord addressed in the Book of Revelation,
the Church of Laodicea, that He gave His greatest promise to. Those
promises are for His people today. They are for you.
The Lord called the Church at Laodicea to "therefore be zealous and repent" (see Revelation 3:19). We must recover and keep our zeal for the Lord if we are going to make it through these times. How do we do that?
As Abraham demonstrated, true faith grows stronger with the passage of time, not weaker.
The passage of time between when the promise is given and the
fulfillment of that promise will usually thin out the crowd by removing
those who do not have true faith, but are just caught up in the
excitement of the moment.
C. There is an innumerable company of angels available
1. Genesis 18 – Prayerful example of Abraham's intercession for Sodom and Gomorrah.
1. Acts 12:7-10 –
Peter was kept in jail, and an angel appeared to him. A light shone,
the angel woke Peter up, and the two chains which had held him fell off.

1. Revelation 8:3-7
The
first angel stood in rapt attention and had already blown its trumpet.
When the sound of the horn went forth, the word "calamity" was released.
The word "natural disasters" appeared in the dream, indicating the
increase of hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and such
phenomena. Next in the dream, I saw a second angel step forward and put a
shofar to its mouth to blow. Out came a sound declaring "plagues" were
being released. This appeared to be a pronouncement that was happening
right at that moment.
What Is The Soul?
The loss of the soul is the highest, greatest loss; a loss that can never be repaired or made up. The soul is often called the HEART of man. Good or evil have their rise within the soul or heart of man.
Job spoke about the
Why
do you think David was so strict with his soul? He would constantly put
it in check, speak to it, encourage it, command it, and nurture it. He
knew the importance of the soul being restored and healed.
The
problem with us is that when we "sense" something, we try and reason,
judge, and oftentimes because of the lack of discernment, allow it to
simmer within until it causes our soul to get bitter, and then it's
downhill from that point. This is where you need help from your spirit.
Even
if we are convinced that the rapture will spare us from the Great
Tribulation, what the Lord Himself prophesied as "the beginning of birth
pangs" (see Matthew 24:8) should be enough to motivate us to prepare
for difficulties. However, our preparation for the times is not just for
survival, but also for doing our part as laborers in the greatest harvest the world will ever see.
The
world is getting darker, fast. However, we are here for a reason. In
times of greater darkness, greater light is needed and will be given. As
deep darkness covers the earth, it will be our greatest opportunity of
all time to walk with God and be His messengers.
Faith
without works is dead. Every born again Christian is given gifts
according to 1 Peter 4:10. If you have gifts they are to be used for the
Body of Christ.
However, the Father wants us to be happy and that's why He's given us all good things. Therefore we must receive everything He gives us with joy and gladness (Deuteronomy 28:47).
