Jo Ellen Stevens ~Open Up The Sky And Let Down The Ladder~

I was at a Kari Jobe concert one night with some friends and my husband and it was more of a worship experience than a concert. All at once this concert went into an intense time of worship and people were in the isles on their knees sobbing like babies. I opened my eyes at one point and there in front of me was Kari singing and an iridescent rainbow colored ladder was coming through the ceiling and came down and was attached to her back. It was electric and alive ..

At first I thought it was a part of a light show so I asked my husband if he saw it and he said no that he hadn't and I asked my friends and they had not seen it either. I then realized that I was seeing an open vision.
I asked the Lord what that was when I got home that evening and he said that it was the Ladder that Jacob had seen that the angels of God were ascending and descending upon into the earth and that we become the gates of The Lord of hosts when we lift up our heads in worship to him that allow heavens armies into the earth as it says in Psalms 24.
Genesis 28:12 (KJ21) "And he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it."
V. 16-19 "And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I knew it not.”
And he was afraid and said, “How fearsome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”
And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar and poured oil upon the top of it.
And he called the name of that place Bethel [that is, The house of God]; but the name of that city was called Luz at the first."
Psalms 24.7-8 "Lift up your heads, O ye gates! And be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle."
You see we now are that house of God where Jacob made an altar so we are that Gate of heaven.. Jesus said that what we allow on earth is allowed or whatever we forbid is forbidden.. We have the authority and when we worship we are speaking God's word and we are singing and speaking of what is already settled in heaven! We then become the gate that allows this that is finished to come into our atmosphere.. Oh Glory to God!! We let down the Ladder so to speak as we worship!! So ask yourself today...What or who am I allowing into my Home, my city, or even my country!! It is time to become that house of worship and prayer that Jesus said His house should be and let down the ladder!! Glory to God!!

When Everything Presses in ... HE is the Pressure Relief Valve

I write this out of my own life.  I am under a LOT of pressure.  Not evil pressure.  Pressure to get things done. QUICK.  They are taking a great deal of time and energy and I see it in my decisions about what is first.. and second.

When I have reached the end of my capacity to deal with all the demands on my life.. I have to retreat to a place where TIME and PRESSURE have no influence.  Eternal things.  Not Temporal.

That is where HE lives and where I am a citizen.  Not here in the demanding. 

I know that positionally speaking I live in an eternal state.  I already have eternal life.  What I don't have is the capacity to merge time and eternity.  Father can.. 

When I come into that place with Him.. I find peace.  I find rest.

What David said becomes my cry:

I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest--  I would flee far away and stay in the desert;  Psalm 55:6-7

The pressure relief valve of life is hidden in HIM

Nebraska Prophetic Moment

 I woke up this morning in Nebraska. Husker country. At breakfast in the hotel everyone was wearing a red shirt. Then.. (why does He speak to me when it seems to be so innocent) the Spirit of the Lord came over me. He said to me, "So called christian culture is unrelated to what you see -- my witness is unknown among these people".

It's not that the folks all around me were pagan, hell bent, it's just that Jesus is far outside of the life they lead. Sure, I'm guessing that for the most part they take their kids to Sunday school, they show up for an hour at church. But football was their religion today. Tomorrow something else. I don't feel like Father was angry, but letting me know that we are missing it. Here is what we are missing:

• We preach salvation when they don't feel unsaved
• We preach deliverance from sin when they feel no actual guilt
• We Preach sin consciousness when they are completely distracted by the world
• We preach heaven and hell when they already believe they are going to heaven
• We preach cultural degradation when they think this is normal, gay marriage, et al
• We preach end times when they think we are circus clowns when we do
• We preach the love of God when they don't even know God.. and can't relate
• We preach sacraments that they see as an insurance policy and nothing else
• We preach an Anthony Robbins Dale Carnegie as feel good second rate motivation

It's not working. Most of what is happening in church is losing. We are outliers. We no longer have what it takes to reach the world.  We must stop.. and begin to become what Jesus told us to be..

Witnesses that demand discipleship. Living victory and saying follow me as I follow Him.

Demonstration of His Power is what turns people:

• HEALING PEOPLE LIKE JESUS DID
• WORDS OF KNOWLEDGE THAT STUN THEM (He told me everything I ever did)
• WORDS OF WISDOM THAT SEES DEEPLY
• WORDS OF DESTINY THAT PROPHETICALLY SEES THEM FOR WHO THEY WILL BECOME
• UNSHAKEABLE FAITH FOR MIRACLES
• DISCERNMENT THAT CALLS GOOD GOOD, AND EVIL EVIL..
• TAKING DOMINION OVER EVIL IN PEOPLE'S LIVES IN DELIVERANCE
• HELPING PEOPLE FIND HOPE IN A HOPELESS WORLD
• INTRODUCING PEOPLE TO THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD THAT CAN DWELL IN THEM.

I"m not critical of the church, I am hopeful we can get back on course. The enemy or reality in the church is religion. Tradition.

Time to get back to the basics of the love of God.. MANIFEST.

One last thing, whenever God has me to prophesy to someone, the end result is the Love of God is so poured out that we end up in a loving embrace that prophetically says "I LOVE YOU"... from the heart of God.

Let's get back to that ..

OF EBOLA, ECONOMY and EPIDEMICS.. There is an Epidemic, an epidemic of FEAR

After a few days of waiting to hear.. I have the Word of the Lord.

Of people's reaction to the Ebola threat in the world today.  Of people's reaction to the state of the Economy, the markets, interest rates, the price of Oil, instability in Europe, the Middle East and Hong Kong.  Threats on every side. Everything seems to be coming apart at the seams.  Fear has become the drumbeat of the day we live in.

The Word of the Lord as given to me is this:

"Peace.  Not as the world gives, but my peace I give to you.  The world has no peace. Even those who are called by My name are living under a needless cloud of fear.  That fear is not of Me.  Faith should rise among the faithful, yet fear seems to prevail.  Unbelief is not the opposite of Faith, Fear is.

Things that are happening because of the multiple threats are revealing those who use fear to sell products, who use fear to gain power, who use fear to influence others, to use fear to create an atmosphere where people stop trusting one another.  Some are in media, some are in business, some are in pulpits, some are on TV, some are politicians.  They all are using trying times to gain advantage and fame.  Do not follow them.  They are deceivers.

The threats are real, but I have given you a gift of boldness - not a spirit of fear, but one of a sound mind, one that can discern the times and seasons when others fear.  When the wind blows those who are not rooted in ME are stripped from the vine that (ME) and is blown with the wind like a falling leaf in autumn.  Unstable.  Incapable of making sound decisions.  They no longer have My mind; One that I freely give.

I will provide supernatural wisdom in this day to those who have ears to hear.  I will take those who I have placed in authority and cause them to act in ways beyond their human understanding.  Even those who appear to be least qualified will be used of Me to accomplish My purposes.

Light is exposing the deceivers - tools of the enemy.  Those who would kill your body and soul are being shown for what they are.   Their desire is to see you shamed and torn down.  They have created fear, anger, outrage, division, When you see them it becomes apparent that they have been used of the enemy; mark those well who cause division.  They are become the enemy's tool chest.  They are not to be trusted,  Not to be followed.  Look for more light.  Look for those who speak peace, justice and victory, for that is the sound of your Shepherd in this hour..  Learn MY voice and follow ME.

Fearful things that cause men to tremble is not a surprise. I told you in My word that in days to come there would be things that would cause men's hearts to fail for fear.  That spirit is not what I destined for my called ones.  A failing heart has no effect in a dying world.  Stop the fear.  Be BOLD, Be Strong, for I, the Lord God am MIGHTY and will tear down anything that rises against my name.

I told you that the year to come would be a year of turning. 2015, A year when things that seemed like there was no hope would become hopeful.  The past is past, there is now a new day of Grace and Victory.

The economy that seems so fearful will find new strength, it will build back on a more solid foundation. There will be renewed vigor.  The world will be surprised by what seems to be a turn around.  Even the energy being produced has created a new human potential.  I led those who know my name to find hidden riches in secret places.  They did and it will cause you to find more peace.

I am moving among those facing the end in the middle east.  There is no hope in Islam.  That demon has been exposed.  Men and women who were at one time passive about that dead religion are finding new life in ME.  By the tens of thousands.  Every day. The blood shed by the martyrs has become a demonstration, a witness of true life and hope to those who formerly disregarded Me . They had the power to become MY witnesses - Martyrs.  Springing up as it were from the earth soiled with their blood,  new faith, new life is being poured out.  While what looks like death, destruction and horror, I am not confused.  I will turn this for good.  I will call men to me, but many will come when the fear of the end is imminent.  Some of those most opposed, the most violent persecutors will come face to face with ME, the True and Living God.  They will become like my servant Paul.. chief among sinners but the most passionate of his day.  That zeal is still there... unturned but ready.

The people who have been opponents of the gospel, those who have tried to tear down righteousness, those who have called evil good will be faced with a new reality.  There is a cry rising from my faithful ones.  I hear it from the throne, HOW LONG?   I will not always contend with evil men, there will come a time when my justice will prevail.  My Kingdom is not of this earth, but is in the hearts of men.. and it will expand..  Justice is making just.

Even among leaders who have been misled by godless men to direct you in ways not worthy will soon discover the error of their way.  Even the President of the USA will bow the knee, like the prodigal, come to his senses and become what I destined him to be.  I had to let these people run away into darkness so when they return the joy when they do would be great.  Do not be the older brother in that day, give thanks for the return of the lost sheep.

I am your Father.  I only have good for you.  Fear not.  Be aware. Act in accord with my word.  Trust ME alone.  In due season if you faint not under the fear, you will reap a great harvest.

The days to come may look dark in the natural, but look up .. for that is where your hope comes from.  There is no other hope except in ME.  I will deliver you from the epidemic of fear.. it is never of ME."

My reaction is the cry of David: Psalm 39

 “I will watch my ways
    and keep my tongue from sin;
I will put a muzzle on my mouth
    while in the presence of the wicked.”
² So I remained utterly silent,
    not even saying anything good.
But my anguish increased;
³     my heart grew hot within me.
While I meditated, the fire burned;
    then I spoke with my tongue:

⁴ “Show me, Lord, my life’s end
    and the number of my days;
    let me know how fleeting my life is.
⁵ You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
    the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath,
    even those who seem secure.^[b]

⁶ “Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom;
    in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth
    without knowing whose it will finally be.

⁷ “But now, Lord, what do I look for?
    My hope is in you.
⁸ Save me from all my transgressions;
    do not make me the scorn of fools.
⁹ I was silent; I would not open my mouth,
    for you are the one who has done this.

I bow my knee to the True and Living God, Creator of all heaven and earth.  Master of the Universe and say aloud:

Psalm 73:25-28 Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.…Those who are far from you will perish;  you destroy all who are unfaithful to you. But as for me, it is good to be near God.     I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;   I will tell of all your deeds.

FEAR IS NOT REAL IT IS THE PRODUCT OF THE THOUGHTS YOU CREATE. THE DANGER IS VERY REAL, BUT FEAR IS A CHOICE.

"the Children of Disobedience" . . . Robert Blackburn

There is a spirit at work. And that spirit, is working in some people, he ought to not be working through. I'm not saying they are possessed; but the enemy is using them, to cause harm to the body of Christ. Most people knew these times would come. I'm about the age of what we like to call, the baby boomers; born during or right after a big war. Our parents, date back to the early part of the twentieth century, and our grandparents, before that. In other words, our family was here when the Holy Ghost was first poured out in a great manner in this country.

The Spirit, often used even unlearned and uneducated men and women, to teach the people, what He had taught them. All Christian churches, knew and taught, much more than they do today; they knew much more than has been passed down in some circles. All church folk, knew about the end times; would it not make sense, that the Spirit would teach them about it. It's not a secret, that many people, think certain scriptures are not talking about them and their group. It doesn't seem to matter, that the apostles warned of things that would arise; not just in the world, but in the church. They wrote about such things as, a falling away; many being led astray, many being deceived and many becoming cold and indifferent. They were not talking to the world; they were talking to us. We couldn't see that.

When you talk about people's conscience being seared, many who are lovers of themselves, those who are lukewarm, those who claim to have godliness but deny the full power of it, those having itching ears and those who have left their first love, you're not talking about people who never had anything to start with. You're talking about people who once had something but no longer have it now. An unsaved person, never had the mind of Christ, they never were reborn and the lusts of their flesh and mind, has never been changed. This is about people, who know better; or they once did. Those who once sought to follow the Spirit, but don't anymore.

Rebellion, is as the sin of witchcraft. Meaning, it sets off all kinds of real demons, and allows them to operate freely. Fighting against the Spirit, has had dire consequences; assuming authority that is not really yours, has opened a door, that should have remained closed. At first, many who are having a form of church, knew better, and some even know better now. It is their desire for glory, for wealth, power and control, that has blinded them to what is happening right under their very noses. And for a long time now, the enemy has been operating in their very midst; using people who truly appear to be, something they are not, and likely never have been.

This enemy, is called, the prince of the power of the air. Paul said, all of us were once the children of disobedience; but, we were supposed to be born again, and changed. Some, never had the goods to begin with. Others, have let old desires and the old man, surface once more. God gave us a choice. We might always go back to being who we were before; especially if we stop seeking and following the Spirit; always renewing Him, in us. How do I say, that the devil, thrives and grows, on a lukewarm church. He did everything he could, to stop the full power of the Spirit from operating among us; and he used some of our very own people to do it. Many of our people, remain disobedient to what the voice of the Spirit, is really saying to the Church. We have to actually resist the devil; in order for him to flee.

Decaf Prophets

Churches LOVE the prophetic as long as it is served up to them DeCaf, Lukewarm and in small portions. I think about some who call themselves prophet yet have no fire, no heat, no power and who are happy to just be in submission to a constraining venue in order to maintain a platform that is actually unused. Nothing is happening but they are serving what the leaders desire.

This is not as it should be. Prophets should be crying out, decrying evil, encouraging good, correcting error, painting pictures of God's work in the world, declaring destiny (that goes both ways), preparing the way for the days to come, identifying and carrying out judgement against evil in the earth.

I don't see that much. I see a low calorie decaf insipid drip drip drip style of prophecy. Nothing changes, people are left in their deception and ignorance without any challenge or change.

Prophets: CRY ALOUD and SPARE NOT!! or sit down.

Impatience, the Devil's Leverage

If we look at the story of Ishmael and Abraham,  you see one thing clearly, Impatience will cost you your birthright.  Same with the story of Jacob and Esau.  Hunger and need will drive people into giving away what God had intended for you.

This is important because many of you are facing difficult times and when you really want to, more important, need to hear from God.  You need to know WHEN, Lord, WHEN..   His silence leads to frustration and bad decisions.  I have seen it and so have you.

Gods best may be a month away, maybe a year away.  He isn't cruel, He is Father God, and He does all things well.  The question is, do you have patience, long suffering.  Can you endure delay or will you impregnate Hagar?

For those who have been thru hard times it is difficult to stay steady when things are short, lean, difficult, not as you hoped.  YET Father is saying "let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up". Galatians 6:9

Yet most people can't endure, stay steady, doing what is good, and when the season comes there is no harvest.  It's hard, but that's the word of the Lord.

Hurry wastes God's best.. and always will.  He is working out his PERFECT will in you.. if you become impatient.. He will give to to someone else.. and you will be even more frustrated.

"Justice will see again" - a Word from the Lord -- David Smith

I have known David Smith for many years and trust his prophetic gift.  This is a good word and worthy of consideration:



During worship, at Church today, the Lord unveiled something that He has been unfolding to me since Thursday (really, for more than a month now).

We are all familiar with the term "justice is blind" - and the picture of that statue that is blindfolded and holding a set of weighing scales.

Well, the Lord showed me, in vision, during worship, that same statue, except there was a large hand, with a large thumb, pushing down on one side of the scales.

The blindfold was whipped away, and it was revealed that "justice" had dead, sightless eyes that were truly blind and could not even see truth, nor justice!

The hand of the demonic realm has been tipping the scales of just with unjust judges and unjust weights.

"Justice" has not been blind - it has been under the direct influence, manipulation and control of the demonic realm, as led by our adversary, our enemy, the devil.

With the seven days of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) ending, and the eighth day of Shmini Atzeret (Simchat Torah) signalling a new beginning of a new cycle, the Lord is removing the blindfold from "Justice" so that the world can see the dead, lifeless eyes that cannot even see Justice nor Truth. The blindfold is simply a costume disguise - there for the outward appearance only.

The Lord is giving new eyes to Justice - those that have the heart to see will SEE because the Lord will open the eyes of those that have eyes to see.

The unjust judges and the unjust weights, tipping the scales in favor of a counterfit truth and in counterfeit justice is being taken away - and the righteous Judge is taking their place!

The hand, that tips the scales towards injustice, is being cut off with the sword of truth - the sword of justice!

The scales of Justice will weigh true again!

The Lord is restoring righteous judges to weigh the thoughts and intents of the heart - and judgments will be rendered direct from the judgment seat of the Anointed One - the Christ! The Holy Spirit will be the Voice of the Righteous Judge, communicating to His Righteous Ones the Truth.

The Day of the Lord is coming to pass and the Day of man is shifting away!

No more will Justice be blind - but Justice will see once again!

Isaiah 1:26 (MKJV)  -  "And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city."

Blown Out Wineskins might be God's Plan

We all know the verse (Jesus Speaking):

No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins." Mark 2:22

We have all heard teaching on how not to try to put new wine into an old wineskin.  Mostly in Charismatic churches.  In some places you will hear someone teach how rubbing olive oil on the old wineskin will allow it to be used again.  That's almost worse in some ways if you think about it.

Spilling the wine on the ground without effect or wasting the grace of God seems to be condemned. Wine is in this case a representative of the Holy Spirit.  Wasting HIS power is condemned.

SO what of this, what if we dig deeper. What's Jesus really saying?

Here are some conclusions... and you might not like them.  Jesus seems to be saying that an old wineskin must be abandoned or renewed.. That being an old wineskin is a death march.  It has no value. It's over. It needs to be put aside.  Unless it has much work and change brought on it, it's a useless vessel for anything fresh and new.

I hear all the time from 'Revivalists':  "if you invite me to come and speak, I will blow your church up".  Of course it's hyperbole.  They are saying as a badge of honor that they will bring such light and spirit that things will never be the same. Any church that fears being blown up is already an old wineskin.  Yet I know of many "leaders" who avoid all signs of new wine because they fear it will blow them and their church to bits. That is not sound leadership, it's an indicator of an overcautious old wineskin.   Of great churches I have know, they will bring in the most radical wild eyed people and let them run free.  It stretches the congregation and if the guy is off... if they are well grounded they will know what to do about it.

It may well be that God's plan to blow up old wineskins. Those who have lost the ability to take in new wine, Those unwilling to allow a full move of the Holy Spirit's anointing oil to soften them to receive, those no longer in the flow of HIS spirit.. who are stuck in the spirit of an institution.

IF a new wine move would blow up your church, you don't have a church, you have a club, cult or clique.

The solution?

1. The Oil of anointing.. one that softens the skin so it can take in new wine.  OIL represents what?  Holy Spirit.  Most Old Wineskins don't have any place for a move of the Holy Ghost...Their trinity consists of Father, Son and .... UM... I donno.  They are like Johns Disciples at Ephesus.  "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" he asked them. "No," they replied, "we haven't even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."   Acts 19:2


2. New Wine Skin believers abandoning the old... That is how it happens most often.  Why the most fruitful churches in evangelism many times are new church plants.  They don't steal sheep as is often accused.  They don't just live on "transfers".  They pump new energy, new vision, new hope, new anointing into a community where it was missing before.  The net result is, the Kingdom expands.
 
3. Blowing up old wineskin fellowships.  IF they won't be able to accept new wine or are too rigid and only want to hold on to the few drops of they old wine they have... it is better for them to be blown up and thrown away.  

And that is what you are seeing.  Old wineskin fellowships are dying... and I submit to you, it may be God's plan..

The Devil Uses Prophecy TOO -- in order to create false hope or false fear

I got a phone call from a friend yesterday. One who I have known for many years.  He and I were trained under Pastor Dan Rothwell.  Peter Mehl was part of that time. We were good AG men of God.  Yet as time has gone on I have come to recognize a demonic scheme to sideline people of power to cause them to be ineffective for Kingdom Expansion.  Some of that even existed then.

As a prophet, I rely on the written word of God as it is brought to life by the Spirit.  I rely on the voice of God speaking to me (inaudible).  I rely on the prophetic input from trusted prophets that have proven themselves for decades.  I know what I believe and some things that are in the atmosphere are untrue.  Some of what is passing itself for the prophetic is Bandwagon Prophecy.  The idea that if everyone believes this and is buying into it, it must be true.  I don't do bandwagons.  If you are looking for someone to reinforce the latest prophetic fad, I'm not your prophet.  I only say what God says, not some book, some sensationalist TV program, some internet site, some magazine is promoting.  They make great conference speakers, sell a lot of books and capture people's imaginations. They are not my source.  They should not be yours either.

If I were the devil and I wanted to hobble the Body of Christ to ineffectiveness on the earth today, here's what I would do:

• I would get scriptural evidence to propound a lie of fear.  If it succeeds it would cause people to draw back, to freeze up, to become paranoid, to hide out.  OH, I could find lots of well meaning Christian leaders to advance the theories, always in the future.  Always with dire consequence or GREAT reward.. but just not now.
• I would divert Christian's attentions from building the Kingdom to looking for devious schemes, secret associations, antichrists, temples, calves, plots, strategies that would either protect them from harm or offer untold riches.  Either would do.
• I would preoccupy Christians with meaningless activity.  Sports, Entertainment, Pop Music, Politics and dozens of other things that eat huge amounts of time and energy with no effect.  If they invested themselves in Kingdom building with the same energy it would be really dangerous to the devil. 
• I would cause them to engage in Quixotic battles in protest of supposed wrongs and error in the culture while not facing the reality of what I (the devil) am really doing.
• I would create false hopes and false fears to keep Christians out of the arena. 
• I would emphasize faith over action.  Spend much time in group prayer and little time in group action.  The idea that a Christian is part of the answer to every prayer they pray will be disempowered.
• I would create all kinds of signs that people get excited about while neutralizing the capacity for the true Sons of Issachar to speak up.    "From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take." 1 Chronicles 12:32   Those who are able to see and hear what is happening in the culture will be set aside for the sensational.These things take a lot of forms in our Christian Culture.  I don't attack any one of these, but I speak to the cumulative effect of all of them.  They have succeeded in taking Christians off the battlefield and onto the sidelines.

Here is a list.. you may be able to add to this:   Rapture, Millennial Reign, Left Behind, Blood Moons and the Shemitah, The Harbinger, Why the rapture will happen in 1988..(it didn't), Why the world will end in 2000 (It didn't), Harold Camping end of the world 1994 and 2011 (it didn't), the Revaluation of all Currencies any day now, The Revaluation of the Dinar, Dong, Zim and a dozen other worthless pieces of paper (this is insidious because it creates hope in nothing and makes the heart sick), and all the end time stuff, the Masons, the Illuminati, Aliens and a hundred other mindless conspiracy theories. 

To be clear, I love a good conspiracy theory as much as anyone else.  Entertaining stuff.  YET.. the reality is there is nothing that surprises Father.  They are a waste of time to the Christian.

There is enough trouble for today, we don't need to bother tomorrow for some of it's trouble.  There is a lot of pain and suffering in the world.  IF those beheaded by Isis will sit in judgement of us someday as the Bible says, how will we measure up? 

The real problem with all this is it takes away from the mission and mandate.  Nations, Disciples, Kingdom.  It's interesting that the last words of Jesus in Great Commission lines up with what the Word of God says he taught in His last days on earth, "Concerning the Kingdom".

There will come a day of trouble in our national, even global, life.  I have written on what that will look like.  You won't be able to avoid it.  Money won't help. Think of the Christians in Mosul, some crucified by ISIS .. they had money.  Now they are dead or refugees.  Your  only hope is to trust GOD for your provision.  Your relationship with HIM and with others around you will be your only currency in that day.  This is not the GREAT tribulation, but a great tribulation.

My friend, who I mentioned above, deals with people who invest a lot of money.  He told me that many good Christians of wealth are very frightened because of all the dire prophecies.  They are wanting to take their money out of investments.  They want to hide. To not grow.  To protect.  To draw back.  Same it true of Rapture Ready folks.. they are ready for nothing.  Useless on the Battlefield. 

We were to run to the Battle, not draw back as some do.  You can't do that if you are in constant fear.

Stop the Fear.. Jesus said that to the Disciples on the Boat when he woke up in the storm.

He is up again and saying STOP THE FEAR.

I'm guessing you can quote me much from the word of God to support or oppose the truth of what I have just written. I don't want to argue.  I just want you to stop being terrified.  Don't let anyone push you around spiritually "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath."  Colossians 2:16

God has NOT given you a spirit of Fear.. that comes from down below.   FEAR NOT..for I am with you.. He either is and you believe Him or you doubt Him and and will faint when trouble comes.

Will she pass the Bride Test?

Sometimes I wish I didn't see so clearly what is coming on the earth. Great Glory born out of great difficulty. The idea of explosive progress in the Kingdom without stunning disruption is deception. I deal with that enough.

We see it in our elected officials, in our media, in our courts, in our governments. Deception that closes eyes they were put in place to open. What is most difficult to see is how those in authority in the Church are asleep in the light. I know people say, Don't give up on the church, but Lance Wallnau keeps asking the question, "What if Jesus has left the Building?". The capacity for harsh self examination seems to be lost.

You can't move ahead if you don't know where you are. The GPS we were given are the GOD'S PURPOSES SENSOR. Unfortunately most western churches turned off their GPS a long time ago and now are adrift. OH, there will come a day.. maybe soon, when the impact felt by a helpless church and unequipped Christians in the face of direct challenge will cause many to turn their backs on anything that doesn't have the Purposes of God plugged in to the Destination setting on the HOME button on their GPS.

In a soft way, while I wish none of these churches ill, it's time for a house cleaning, GOD'S HOUSE. Wood, hay and straw are cluttering up the sanctuary (and there is far too much chaff). Let's make room for Silver and Gold tried by fire.. and that fire is coming. It won't look like HIM when it comes, but it's Him all right. The fruit will tell the story. IF a pure bride emerges from the flame unscathed, it's Him and she IS. IF she tumbles, collapses and dies.. she never was....

The Life of Charles Finney

God is big on honoring the memory of the righteous (see Proverbs 10; Mark 14:9; 1 Kings 11:13, 32, 34, 36; Jeremiah 15:1; Ezekiel 14:14, 20). Like many people, I sometimes go to the graves of my parents, grandparents, soldiers, great leaders, etc. to honor their memory and reflect on their lives. I don't try to communicate with them, which obviously is forbidden in Scripture, nor do I try to receive impartations from them. I do, however, usually spend some time visiting with the Lord while there.
Typically, I thank God for the person's life and the heritage He gave me through them; I usually acknowledge the price they paid for the Gospel or, if appropriate, for my freedom. I remind myself that I'm a link in the chain of history and that I must continue their legacy. In the solemnity of the moment and as an honor to their faithfulness and sacrifice, I often rededicate myself to the Lord's cause.
While ministering near Oberlin, Ohio on Sunday, September 21, I had the privilege of visiting the grave of Charles Finney. Finney, an attorney turned evangelist, was one of the greatest revivalists that has ever lived. (Photo of Charles Finney via Wikimedia)
He was a leader in the Second Great Awakening, and often called, The Father of Modern Revivalism. He also promoted social reforms, such as the abolition of slavery and equal education for women. Just as I have with stumps, trees, rocks, monuments, chairs, beds, pews and wooden benches in the front of churches, I used his grave as an altar. I thanked God for Finney and those like him who have left us powerful legacies and examples.

Appeal to Heaven for Another Great Awakening

I reminded Holy Spirit of the First and Second Great Awakenings, and appealed to Heaven for another. As I pondered and honored the work of Finney and others gone before me, I once again committed myself to God and His cause. Then, in a very holy moment, I pledged to the young men and women with me that I would be a faithful father to them and their generation.

As we prayed, God chose this time and place to meet with me in a powerful way. I was overcome, as I have been before, with God's heart and love for America. I wept, as we all cried out for revival in our land. Why did God meet me there in such a strong way?
Perhaps it was to honor the memory of Finney, a faithful son; or, since awakening and harvest is what Finney so powerfully represents, maybe it was a confirmation that God is, indeed, going to give us another great awakening. It could have also been to remind us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves – that the great cloud of witnesses are watching and cheering us on, knowing fully that we're the continuation of their efforts (Hebrews 11:39-12:2). Whatever His reason for choosing this time and place, the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon me. I was re-mantled and re-anointed.

A Fresh Mantle and Anointing

A mantle in Old Testament times was simply a garment that pictured or symbolized an individual being clothed with the Holy Spirit and His ability. Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is 'upon' me..." (Luke 4:18). An anointing in the Old Testament referred to rubbing or smearing with oil as a picture of the Holy Spirit's impartation and empowering.
In the above verse, Jesus referenced this, adding, "He [Holy Spirit] has anointed Me." Those of us who speak of "mantles" and "anointings" are using Biblical symbolism to describe impartations that empower and equip us for a particular task or function. God is not finished with America. Don't be moved by the naysayers and don't give in to hope deferred. There is a third Great Awakening coming to our land. There is another broad and passionate "appeal to Heaven" occurring in our land, which will be honored, just as it was when our nation was born.
There is a re-connecting to the covenants, promises and sacrifices of our forefathers. And there will be an answer from Heaven in the form of the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit the earth has ever experienced – in America, and around the world. You are part of this! Keep crying out for revival – and cry out for revivalists like Finney to be raised up in our day.

I have been asked a number of times about the moons and the meanings.  I would LOVE to accommodate, make predictions of drama, cite all kinds of 7s and Shemitah.  The truth is, I don't see anything other than what is apparent to the eye right now.  There is much pain and suffering in the world.  There is much fear and trepidation.

Let today's troubles be enough, don't borrow from tomorrow.  Jesus said that and I agree with him.

 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." Matt 6:34

By the way, IF prophetically I did see anything in all this, I would say something.  I just read Charisma's story on Rabbi Cahn's prophetic seeing.  I respect him for his call, even if I don't see what he sees and I found out a long time ago (much to my chagrin) that second hand Prophecy is pretty weak.  I keep myself from the prophetic bandwagon.  I just say what God says.. and if He isn't saying anything about all this, neither will I.

There can be no restoration, provision or prosperity Without repentance from Dead Works

I was contemplating this passage from Hebrews 6:

6 Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, ² and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. ³ And this we will do if God permits. ⁴ For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, ⁵ and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, ⁶ and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. ⁷ For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. ⁸ But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.

I wondered what dead works the writer of Hebrews was talking about.  He says that maturity is not going over and over the same real estate. 

Not Laying AGAIN repentance from dead works.  It must mean there was once a repentance, a turning around, a walking away from, a change in viewpoint.  Repentance means all those things.  Not doing the same things again and again and then asking God to "Fix It".

I thought of people from the word who repented of Dead Works. 

Paul the Apostle repented, stopped persecuting.  Changed his mind.

Zacchaeus up in the tree repented.  Turned away from corrupt deeds. Dead works,

The demoniac of Gadderene.  He changed and turned around. 

Many examples.  The writer says don't keep repenting of those dead works.  Move on.  Grow up in the Spirit.  What he really says however is a warning.  IF you did repent of those dead works and then go back to them you will not easily be restored to repentance. IN FACT he almost seems to say you will go to hell.  Burned.  Recrucifying Jesus.  Pretty rough.

The Spirit of God said to me this morning:
"Many who I have called are continuing to repent of things they should have walked away from years ago.  They are repenting of dead works.  They repeat the same old things.  They know the truth, they have heard and experienced it, yet they stay stuck in the same old dead works they always had.  They are in a cycle of defeat despair degradation and deception.  Without turning their backs on the dead works they have engaged in they will never get out of this.  NEVER."

I considered what this might mean. It's not about sin, it's about how we see the world, how we see the kingdom or not, how we see ourselves, how we see others.  It's about the ability to walk away from deceptions that have kept us trapped.

Some are relationships, some are hold over attitudes from your dad and mom or grandparents.  Some are beliefs that you support with action.  An abortionist who believes he is a christian is unrepenting of Dead Works.  A drug dealer who goes to church is still unrepented of dead works.  The whore on the street who wants out but keeps whoring has not yet repented of dead works.  The cheat who corrupts everything he touches yet shows up and glorifies God in worship is unrepented of dead works.  A gay marriage is a dead work.  Much of what we see in our culture is now dead works.

When you see people in degradation, chances are dead works are there somewhere.  Yes people can have hard times, but hard times don't last. God opens doors.. but not to those unrepeented of dead works.  He cannot trust one captured by dead works with prosperity.

I know this for certain, without repentance from dead works once and for all, we cannot have a turn around in our nation. We cannot keep evil men and women in power and expect that we will prosper. 
Repenting of Dead works is about making right choices.   Repent of dead works.
