BE YE CONSTANTLY FILLED....

Each event we remember at this time of year is overshadowed by the next. The cross and what happened there was powerful... He paid the price for your sin... 
 
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE -- then JESUS defeated DEATH, the GRAVE and HELL and rose again.. Glorified. First fruits for all of us. It was a GREATER victory than the Cross... Death no longer had any hold on us.. The law of sin and death was broken. 

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE ... 50 days later... after Jesus had taught on the Kingdom for 40 days he told his Disciples to stay in Jerusalem. These were Disciples who has sins paid for at the cross, had a measure of the Holy Spirit imparted to them, Had seen the risen Christ, had been well taught, had the promise of resurrection for themselves, had received instructions (the great commission) and yet Jesus doesn't turn them loose. He tells them to wait UNTIL... POWER comes.

Didn't they had everything they needed to expand the kingdom Jesus taught on... ? NOPE. Just like today we have many churches and religious leaders who think they can get by.. on the cross, the empty grave, the great commission, a measure of the Holy Ghost, well taught, and they go into all the world with great enthusiasm... without the ONE THING, the GREATER WORKS EMPOWERMENT .. that Jesus said was the promise of the Father. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost. IT made the focus on the cross and the empty tomb less than what JESUS really intended those who would turn the world upside down would do.... They would receive Power AFTER the HOLY GHOST came upon them. It's time to recognize that without the ability to BE a witness in the Power of the Holy Ghost...you are simply well taught and going thru the motions powerless. You have still not come into the more excellent way....
