The Devil Uses Lost Causes to Derail Destinies

We hear the saying "The Devil is a Lie" all the time.  It's true.  He is the father of lies.  Lies come in many forms.  One that is not recognized is how he is able to stop people called of God for destiny by sending them on Quixotic causes that have no fruit at all.  It is a way to create heat when none is merited.

I have a long list of these fruitless causes.  The one that is of recent memory is the 1999-2000 millennial scare. From pulpits around the nation preachers warned how the world was going to crash because of the date change.  How you better get a generator, store up water and food.  Get a gun.  Be ready for chaos.  Some moved to enclaves.  Some were hidden away.  It was a scary time.

The devil laughed out loud at the foolishness.  Energy and resources that could have gone into advancing the Kingdom were squandered on a lost cause.

It is still happening.  Look at the people in fear of blood moons, shemitah and other lost cause fears.

Colossians 3:1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ who is youra life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Philippians 3:19
Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

As I see people all wrapped up in foolish offenses, anger, fear, politics (of which I am chief among sinners) and financial fear I recognize the hand of the enemy in derailing destiny.

Next time we find ourselves all upset over some supposed cause, ask yourself, what is it that is causing me to become tormented?  Who is causing the torment.

That is the real issue.  We must no longer be tossed too and fro by every wind that blows.

The Kingdom of God is advancing..  so should we.

I'm preaching to myself here.. but maybe you will benefit too.

And that's what I heard the Lord say today.
