I have struggled with the personal prophecy ministry machine. I like giving a word to someone. I enjoy getting one. I live on them. YET.. not all prophecy is personal.
Look at the words to the Churches in Revelation. Look at the words to the nations in Isaiah and Ezekiel. Look at the words to Israel in Jeremiah. And many of the prophetic utterances. Even Jesus prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem didn't make it personal.
Some prophetic words are, but few.
So when you hear some warning or some great promise in prophetic utterance.. sometimes its for the whole and you taking a bit misses the point.
That's just a prophet speaking however.
