Christian Superstition

We need to comprehend the supernatural all around us. Angels. Demons. Portals. Open Heaven. Power of words. Blessing and cursing. God given gifts. Sovereign moves of God. We must grasp these thing, believe them and expect them in our lives.

Yet God has given us all some measure of intellect. HE expects us to use it. We need to stop looking at the whole of creation as some huge construct that we superstitiously access by using chants and incantations. Superstition is a demonic ploy that keeps people in poverty, lack, fear and bondage. I'll have to ask what the name of the demon of superstition is. I'm sure it has one. And there is an origin. This doesn't happen just in Qualla Lampoon someplace. We have lots of horoscopes, Ouija boards, psychics in storefronts and all kinds of voodoo right here in Chicagoland, and in fact right here in St Chuck psychics abound. People really are superstitious and it is costing them everything. There are Christian superstitions as well. You see them in the church. The do these three things.. theology you hear preached from pulpits. People carry crucifixes. Have crosses around their neck. And all kings of soft christian superstitions. Even seed faith teaching is a form of superstition.

Yet, the breakthrough comes when we recognize that God made a world that is orderly and subject to rational investigation. That new products from the earth are wonderful blessings from God, not exploitation. That every new development created or discovered is at it's root a gift from God. Superstition will say otherwise and discourage innovation and the new.

Here's what God says:

I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. Proverbs 8:12

I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
Isaiah 45:3
