John the Baptist prophesied that Jesus would do what He said He would do:
and
Luke 3:9 The ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.”
Luke3:16John answered their questions by saying, “I baptize you withd water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.e 17He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire.”
Then Jesus describes how that will come to pass:
Matthew 13:36 “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” 37And He said, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, 38and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; 39and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. 40“So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. 41“The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, 42and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43“Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
The "let he who has ears to hear, let him hear" Comes from the passage in Isaiah that Jesus quoted from earlier in this discourse:
Matthew 13:13 I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14“In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,
‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;
YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
15FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL,
WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’
So as we see these things happen around us, as ministries fall, as people are exposed, as lives are shaken, as kingdoms and nations collapse, be aware it is the appointment of angels: 41“The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, 42and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This is NOT an end time thing, this is the groaning as the Kingdom is established.
One last thing, this happens not only in business, in ministries, in nations, in high places, it happens in our lives. Many Christians are
HEARING, BUT NOT UNDERSTANDING;
SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL,
WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’
HOW?? Look back at Matthew 13:16b-17
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.e 17He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire.”
That chaff is IN YOUR LIFE. When you are baptized with the Holy Ghost and FIRE He will send his angels to clean out the chaff and burn it up. Your ears will open. Your eyes will begin to see. The heart will melt and healing will come for the places that the chaff polluted.
We take these things too lightly, or we think this will come to the nations, or to bad people. WE are the focus of His chaff removal. Look at it again. Does he baptize NATIONS? No.... YOU.
I think at this time of Christmas we look too much at the story of Jesus and his birth as an event, not as the fulfillment of the Prophecy of John...and Isaiah who brings us to realize...Angels are on assignment, not only to say Glory to God in the Highest...but to declare PEACE ON EARTH to men of GOOD WILL...
Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased.
Only by the fullness of the Spirit can you find Peace on Earth.. or become a Man (or woman) of Good Will that pleases God. Christmas is a Great Time to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit... the Fire of God in your life will outshine all the things about this season that are so much pressure.
