Entering Worship

I know I'm not supposed to look. I know I am supposed to have my hands raised and eyes closed.

But I look.

When I see a worship band participant entering into the worship it makes me realize that the anointing is there for a reason.  Not entertainment, not waiting their part till the guitar or drum riff shows up.

I mean when I see a drummer, a keyboardist, a guitar player who does not have a mike singing along, worshiping, entered in, it makes me happy, excited.  There is something GOOD about all that.

What grieves me is the passive, "I'd rather be bowling" look I see on some people standing on the platform passively strumming or plinking while the congregation hungers for something real.

Worship is a blood sport, it amplifies the sacrifice and sanctification that the Blood of Jesus brought us and it let's HIM know that we bow down in worship to the King.

Enter in Worship leaders, even if you have to fake it till you make it.

Sorry-you can't fake it. Rule #1 in Worship leading - you can't lead people where you've never been.
