The word of God is pretty silent on the ability of angels to act in free will. There are some distorted scriptures that cause people to think they can love or hate. That they have emotions as we do. That they are somehow independent entities. It's not so.
To be clear, they love us because Father loves us. They don't love out of their own volition. They care for us. They are ministering angels. Scripture: Therefore, angels are only servants--spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. Hebrews 1:14
If they minister, then in what way? Do they wake up (if they sleep, they don't) and say, I wonder if I should punish old Gene today? I'm pretty upset with him. No they have a mandate and an assignment:
Psalm 91:11
For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.
They even ministered to Jesus: Matthew 4:11
Then the devil left Him, and angels came and ministered to Him.
The idea of a Guardian Angel in singularity, is the stuff of bad New Age theology. There is no scriptural basis for this. Yet it has crept into our christian understanding. Some claim to have seen their guardian angel. I can't doubt they have seen an angel and that it was doing the mission of God in watching over them but there are multitudes of them. Infinite. As God is infinite.
Another Crisis of understanding angels is that they like you and me. They aren't. They can assume the shape and look as Lot's visitors did. But they are best described
Hebrews 1:7
Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire.”
The ones Elisha's servant go to see were like chariots of fire. Doing the will of God, Ministering, but not out of their own volition.
We are told that we will JUDGE angels. Don't you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. 1 Corinthians 6:3
2 Peter 2:11 Whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord.
We must understand that they do what God tells them to do according to His word and here's the kicker, according to our faith and our words of faith. When a mountain has to be moved or a tree cast into the sea.. how does that happen? When we speak words and action of doubt and unbelief, does God intervene with OUR free will? Or do the angels designated just stand quietly waiting for some level of faith so they can respond to the will of God in our lives. They only can do what God says and what we are able to have faith for. Sometimes in emergencies He will send them to respond to our fear, difficulty and need. It's how that works but it is better to respond to our faith believing.
Now for a left turn. Wives are told by Paul to cover their heads. 1 Corinthians 11:10 That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. Now if you read it in context:
7 A
man should not wear anything on his head when worshiping, for man is
made in God’s image and reflects God’s glory. And woman reflects man’s
glory. 8 For the first man didn’t come from woman, but the first woman came from man. 9 And man was not made for woman, but woman was made for man. 10 For this reason, and because the angels are watching, a woman should wear a covering on her head to show she is under authority.
Why is that important? Because the Angels understand authority and order. They understand the need to reflect God's Glory. They are wired to be in full dedicated submission (Including will) to God. They can best minister when they see that in the family. (I'll get hate mail for this, but it's true). God best responds to unity and order and he does it thru the perfect unity and order of the Angel Armies who worship HIM and serve man in his behalf.
One last thing: Jesus is over all.. The visible manifestation of the Father. Father is a spirit. No man has seen Him.
Who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to Him. 1 Peter 3:22
The HIM is Jesus. IF an angel had the temerity to deviete for one second from the authory and power in Jesus, it would be chaos.. and it's not.
About the 1/3rd of the angels who followed Lucifer in rebellion. I am not going to discuss that here. There are demons, but I will submit to you there always were. I used to believe the dragon tail sweep story. I know the Isahia and Ezekial passages well and have taught them. Yet.. as I grow in grace I am beginning to understand evil and it's basis. Yes there is rebellion and chaos in the realm of the demonic. How and why, let's not assign characteristics to those entities they do not deserve. They are evil spirits, just as God's Angels are ministering spirits. Did God create evil? I don't know. And might I say, neither do any of us.
I know this doesn't answer the whole question.. but we have to use out Gift of Discernment in reading the word of God for what it is and not having new aged stuff creep in.

Good Enough Church
I know people burned out on church. They would love to find the perfect church. They have the heart longing for the Glassy Sea. Standing before Jesus on the throne. Crying Holy Holy Holy. Bowing down. Worship and wisdom poured out in revelation. That's what we all want.. me included.
That revelation of what it will be like will cause many to walk away from church dissatisfied. I know, I have done it. It's just not the Glassy Sea. Nothing but the glassy sea is.
I have been part of GREAT churches in my 40+ years as a christian. I have also been part of some duds. I won't call names.. it's not important.
The longing for that day when we in white robes cry holy along side millions and millions causes people to go to conferences, conventions, travel across the country to experience the latest outpouring. It's all good.. then we come back to the first bapticostal church of the divine. And it goes flat. We don't know why our church can't be like "That". It can't because it isn't the glassy sea. For a moment in time at that conference we got a glimpse but then..
It all roots in unrealistic expectation. Expectation V Reality = disappointment.
What the mature believer must do is find his place at the throne in private. Then affiliate him or herself with a church that is GOOD ENOUGH. Understand, compared to what you think you saw, you will always have to settle for less than the glassy sea. It's just the way it will be until you are there for real.
So what does the Good Enough church need to be to be good enough.
If the dogma, structure, stricture or hierarchy is too strong.. it's not good enough. If I come away feeling beat up, condemned, wounded, rejected or in bondage, not good enough. If it's about one man, one person, one central figure other than Jesus, not good enough.
Remember the glassy sea. That's what we all long for and as long as we are on this earth compared to that, no church will ever measure up. We need to find good enough and be there.
God needs to use others to encourage you, lift you up, be in fellowship with, participate and be involved. Hard to do in your living room or with a conference mentality.

- Koinonia type fellowship (Like minded believers)
- Allow for some level of participation beyond keeping a seat warm, clap on cue, stand, sit and make sure the offering plate doesn't miss you.
- This must be a place where you have some level of give and take. Sit down and shut up doesn't fly.

Do we Even Grasp HOLY?
Last week in teaching I heard Apostle say something that hasn't left my spirit. He asked the question, what is HOLY? I mention this because there is a tendency to throw the word around too easily. Holy Man, Holy Land, Holy See, Holy Place, Holy Water, Holy Roman Church and of course, the HOLY BIBLE.
Make no mistake, under the old covenant there were Holy things, places and considerations. The Holy of Holies. The Holy City. "My" Holy Mountain, The Ark of the Covenant was Holy and the temple was called the Holy Place.
But we must rightly divide the word of God from Old Covenant to New Covenant. We are the Holy People of God (A chosen generation). God alone is Holy. We are to be Holy as he is Holy. Places are no longer holy.
The question remains, in the new covenant are there any Holy Places? Holy Things? I don't want to beat up people that hold things and places in high esteem, but the question is, do and should new covenant people believe in Holy Places?
Is Jerusalem or even the "Holy Land" HOLY? Is the Vatican Holy? Are many of the cathedrals and places of remembrance in Israel Holy? I saw a picture of where Jesus supposedly gave the sermon on the mount. It appears that people treat it as Holy. So what is or who is holy?
What if the place where Jesus was Crucified was bulldozed and a McDonald's was erected on that spot would you be offended? If yes, you believe in Holy Places. I would be against it.. but it's not because it's Holy. I value history. I hate the fact that the spirit of ISIS has invaded people in this nation so they tear down historical statues around the south. I hate that historic places ISIS has destroyed are no longer there for people to see as tourists. I might even like to go to Israel. It's not on my bucket list right now, but maybe.
I just want to be sure we measure ourselves as to what is or is not "Holy". I know people who have a crucifix given them that they treat as holy. I did for a while. I get it.
What makes something Holy? The presence of God. The Holy of Holies was Holy because God was there present. You and I are Holy because we are filled with his presnece.
A place can be Holy, but God will not share his Holiness with any place. In that way Sacramento or Columbus are a Holy as Jerusalem. OR NOT.
When President Trump went to the wailing wall the other day, photoes were taken. It was a good sight for me to see.. but he doesn't have to put paper in a wall to get God's attention or find a holy place to do it. There actually is a cottage industry where you can write a prayer and someone for a fee will place it in the wailing wall. I remember a good friend of mine after visiting ORU in Tulsa saying "I know we could pray better if we just had a Prayer Tower". He was going to another Bible College. Of course he told me this story knowing how error filled it was.
Maybe it's time for New Covenant Christians to start to grasp what or who is Holy. You are. God is. When He invades you in a visitation, it's Holy. I have been in Holy. I know Holy. I also know when it isn't. There are many times in a Church Service where the least thing in my mind is anything Holy at all. It should be but isn't. People will flock to the Holy.. always have. Unfortunately it's pretty rare. The manifesting presence of God will cast a Holy Cloud over a place and you know it. No one can Gin it up. No one can manufacture it. It comes because God moves on a place and is welcomed. I have a good pastor friend who will be teaching in a Prison in Louisiana this week. There will be others with him. Some will be Holy.. most not. This is sad.
The world is Hungry for the genuine Holy.. and we offer them a memorial of some long ago time in symbol. Now Holy is the key. NOW.

Growing in the Prophetic may NOT be what you think
I have been involved in Prophetic Ministry for over two decades. Seen the good bad and ugly. Some of it is better than other. One trend I have seen among those who minister prophetically is the machine gun prophecy. That if I talk fast and loud with great emphasis I am more prophetic.
I get flow. I get the idea that God fills our mouth. Sometimes however in machine gun prophecy it's just empty words.
There is also a place for consideration. The way that God delivers a message to his prophets and thru his prophets. That is almost never rapid fire, loud or simple flow. It is the capacity to hear from the Throne and deliver the world of the Lord.
An immature or undeveloped prophet often mistakes intensity for the prophetic. You can be intensely wrong not hearing from God at all. Most often it is these people who have been placed without wisdom. They will often pull the God Trump. GOD TOLD ME. If it doesn't affect others, I let them say God told me this that or the other thing and let it go at that. Deluded prophetic may be both or neither.
Most great prophets I have known take time to hear from God. They many times journal what God is saying. They measure it against scripture. They test the spirits behind the word given. The devil knows how to distort the prophetic word and does so often.
He knows that if he can rile prophets up out of their emotions they can discredit themselves by blurting out what they think they are hearing.. it's not God.
The biggest danger a prophet faces (and I am NOT excluded from this) is the bias we bring to the prophetic, particularly when it has to do with culture, politics, religion and the news of the day. I am never willing to bring a word when I have been a consumer of news or opinion on a grand scale. I need to have my mind renewed and clear. Then when that is the case I can bring what the Lord is saying. One must have ears to hear.
It isn't easy but it is essential. We must have our hearts and minds be the heart and mind of Christ. The measure of true prophetic is the love shown in 1 Corinthians 13. If there is anger or rancor, there is not the prophetic. True mature prophetic only says what God says. Nothing more or less. It is a matter of being directly in the flow of God.
When I think of Great Prophets I have known or heard, few of them are machine gun prophets. They measure the words they use and do so in the fear of the Lord. They know that what they are about to say is going to be tested, first by the Holy Spirit, secondly by other prophets and thirdly by leadership. A prophet must have leaders who can say to them in Love, "My dear Prophet, I regret to tell you that you are full of crap again". I use the word crap is in lieu of what they really mean.
There have been many prophetic voices who are no longer with us who spoke in quiet terms, measured, well strained by the word of God and without. Bob Jones, Kim Clement (who spoke rapidly, but also who used more words than required sometimes).
So if you are a prophetic voice in the kingdom, use your voice for the benefit of the purposes of the Kingdom. You matter. Your reputation is nothing. Find yourself accountable to others who will judge your words and sometimes call you out.
Or you are a dangerous loose cannon.. immature and in need of growth. Sit down for a while.

Face to Face with a Religious Demon - The Fat One
I wrote previously of the tall skinny demon I had a confrontation with.
About the same time I had another confrontation with another demon of religion. It was about this time of year. Religious demons manifest most during the Lenten Easter season. Never do for Christmas. I guess the demons hate the idea of a full propitiation for sin. But that's another topic.
It was late at night. Suddenly before me a short fat man appeared. He wasn't just overweight, he was a fatty. In front of him was a huge table of food. He was eating as fast as he could. Shooing away anyone with whom he might have shared. He was actually angry at those who thought they should find a place at the table. He was dressed in a monk's cloak. Hood and all. When it seemed he could not eat more he accelerated.
Then the table turned to things, money, recognition, land all kinds of things that we see in the world as examples of riches. He was a greedy for that as ever before. He guarded and hoarded all these things for himself. He was not just stingy or miserly, he was aggressive in grabbing all he could. ALL IN THE NAME OF GOD. Taking the name of the Lord in Vain is not unusual for a demon. They come as an angel of light but are devils to the core.
I did not speak to him, but when I looked for even a moment at the hoarded bounty he had, he glared at me and as such warned me off.
After I had enough of this, I spoke the name of Jesus and commanded him to go. He did.
Here's what that showed me. Religions demons are the opposite of Godliness. They are not willing to help anyone unless it is for glory or honor, then only as long as it feeds that hunger. They are all consuming. Nothing is outside the demon's desire for more. All for me, none for you is the mantra of the demon.
We expect this from the world, but the world even sees this is wrong. It rejects the idea of unfettered greed.
Among the demonized religious it has become accepted that this kind of greed is normal. We see them build hungry hoarding ministries and short of the monks robe (some are robed) we know they really that demon.
I won't name names, but when you see unsatiated Hunger for:
There are ministers in the pulpit that manifest this demon.. and they need deliverance.

Face to Face with the Demonic
Some years ago I had a few demonic encounters that helped me understand what and how demons manifest and what they look like. These demons were visible, present and manifested right in front of me. I wasn't terrified. It was in the form of a vision. When I was done observing them I cast them out in the Name of Jesus. They left.
You will recognize them. They were not demons that come with horns, a cape and a pitchfork, they came in religious garb. Religious demons are the worst kind. The conventional demons like legion in the demonized man of gadarenes in the cemetery is easier to deal with. They respond directly and quickly to the name of Jesus and leave.
Religious demons put up a fight you weren't prepared for. They will try like satan did in the wilderness with Jesus to use scripture to keep from being dealt with. They are more devious than their brothers who were sent into pigs. Unless you know scripture well and have the Holy Ghost alive in you, deception is possible.
Many people infected with a religious demon are unaware until they begin to manifest demonically and start to see how they are behaving. They need deliverance. A demonized christian is actually dangerous because he or she will gather a following and lead them to destruction. Jim Jones was one such. Not every demonized christian is a Jim Jones but they are on that dangerous way, they need to be dealt with or they will end up on the highway to HELL. .
Back to the first demon I met. He was a tall man. Dressed in garb like a priest or a monk. He looked down on me. He tried to make me feel inferior. I did.. for a bit. He had a trumpet in his hand. Every time he said something he blew the trumpet to get attention. He loved to be the center of attention. He kept saying things that could only be interpreted as TISK TISK TISK. His critical judgmental countenance put me on edge and made me feel like everything I ever knew or believed was called into question. Then I recognized him for who he was. The ultra Orthodox guardian of all truth (as defined by the devil) and the one who could judge you severely for straying from his supposed truth. Yet every time he uttered some vile judgment on others he would blow his trumpet. He was skinny. Not thin. SKINNY. Why that's important I don't know, but it mattered. As he was in my presence and I watched and heard from him I became aware I was seeing an evil demon disguised as christian. At that realization when I had had enough of this demon I cried out aloud, BE GONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
And he was. Just that quickly. I didn't have to put up with it.
Here's what I learned from that encounter. Ridicule might have been better. Most religious demons have zero sense of humor. They take themselves way too seriously. They think they have an edge on revelation and trumpet themselves every time they speak or write. It would be easy to ignore unless you have a call on your life to warn people away from the junior Jim Joneses of the world. There is destruction in submitting even a little to a religious demon.
I am not talking about a difference of opinion on biblical things. My view of the end times will differ from most, but I'm not going to argue about it. Where I get sideways with the religious demons is when they attack what God is doing to draw people to himself. When they begin to operate in judgement of others. When they derail the spiritual journey many have begun as they tisk tisk tisk their degrading of God's activity in the earth. They are dangerous and need to be called out. That's what a five fold minister must do. Call the error we see. It's not hard, but it is essential. Ridicule and direct confrontation is essential. If you don't take action many will be led astray.
So be bold and strong. Recognize the demons for who they are and cast them out.

You will recognize them. They were not demons that come with horns, a cape and a pitchfork, they came in religious garb. Religious demons are the worst kind. The conventional demons like legion in the demonized man of gadarenes in the cemetery is easier to deal with. They respond directly and quickly to the name of Jesus and leave.
Religious demons put up a fight you weren't prepared for. They will try like satan did in the wilderness with Jesus to use scripture to keep from being dealt with. They are more devious than their brothers who were sent into pigs. Unless you know scripture well and have the Holy Ghost alive in you, deception is possible.
Many people infected with a religious demon are unaware until they begin to manifest demonically and start to see how they are behaving. They need deliverance. A demonized christian is actually dangerous because he or she will gather a following and lead them to destruction. Jim Jones was one such. Not every demonized christian is a Jim Jones but they are on that dangerous way, they need to be dealt with or they will end up on the highway to HELL. .
Back to the first demon I met. He was a tall man. Dressed in garb like a priest or a monk. He looked down on me. He tried to make me feel inferior. I did.. for a bit. He had a trumpet in his hand. Every time he said something he blew the trumpet to get attention. He loved to be the center of attention. He kept saying things that could only be interpreted as TISK TISK TISK. His critical judgmental countenance put me on edge and made me feel like everything I ever knew or believed was called into question. Then I recognized him for who he was. The ultra Orthodox guardian of all truth (as defined by the devil) and the one who could judge you severely for straying from his supposed truth. Yet every time he uttered some vile judgment on others he would blow his trumpet. He was skinny. Not thin. SKINNY. Why that's important I don't know, but it mattered. As he was in my presence and I watched and heard from him I became aware I was seeing an evil demon disguised as christian. At that realization when I had had enough of this demon I cried out aloud, BE GONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
And he was. Just that quickly. I didn't have to put up with it.
Here's what I learned from that encounter. Ridicule might have been better. Most religious demons have zero sense of humor. They take themselves way too seriously. They think they have an edge on revelation and trumpet themselves every time they speak or write. It would be easy to ignore unless you have a call on your life to warn people away from the junior Jim Joneses of the world. There is destruction in submitting even a little to a religious demon.
I am not talking about a difference of opinion on biblical things. My view of the end times will differ from most, but I'm not going to argue about it. Where I get sideways with the religious demons is when they attack what God is doing to draw people to himself. When they begin to operate in judgement of others. When they derail the spiritual journey many have begun as they tisk tisk tisk their degrading of God's activity in the earth. They are dangerous and need to be called out. That's what a five fold minister must do. Call the error we see. It's not hard, but it is essential. Ridicule and direct confrontation is essential. If you don't take action many will be led astray.

God has Released his ARMORY of LOVE and the Church is Missing it
The Church will miss this. Religion will miss this. Legalisms will miss this. Only those with ears to hear and spiritual eyes to see will know what is happening and will do the Henry Blackaby thing, "Watch to see where God is working and join Him". But organized religion and most of the Church will live in spiritual blindness and wonder why they have no capacity to be trendsetters or influencers.
Father is once more using the foolish and despised to confound even the religious:
Prophet Bob Jones died on Valentine's Day 2014. His last prophetic utterance contains this passage on what God is doing RIGHT NOW.
Yet there is a move afoot that is totally focused on the Love of God toward all. It is being rejected by many just as I might struggle with God's love towards evil murderers. I know this is true, it is happening. We may not love one another, but we have this in common, God love ALL of MANKIND without reservation, and Jesus came to forgive the whole world's sins.. even those of ISIS. They may die before entering into that forgiveness.. but it is available.
He brings us to repentance and a turn away from dead works. It is time to get in tune with what God is doing. Show the love of God, even if we have a hard time.

1 Corinthians 1:28 God also selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt, even the things that are nothing, that He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are,Too much of religion has become the glorification of man, man's works, man's ability, man's church, man's office. Christianity has become a personality cult that leaves out God. God is fixing this by turning over and slaughtering a lot of sacred cows that begged for slaughter.
29 So that no mortal man should [have pretense for glorying and] boast in the presence of God.

God is arming the Body of Christ with weapons of His divine love that the enemy has no defense against. We'll begin to see the army of God come together in unity, a common union, to where the enemy will have to leave entire cities. This army is getting ready to take entire cities and eventually entire states. In certain places in the world, they'll take entire nations.
It is happening right now. We think it might be that we are to love one another. That is true, but there is MUCH MORE. The Love of God
This is the year the army of God comes together with angels beyond number and weapons that cannot be defeated by the enemy. Angels are here now preparing the Body for the harvest and there will be a mighty victory. This year, even the blooming of the trees is something that satan can't stop from happening.
This is moving right now. I can't even think about forgiving ISIS fighters for the horror they have done. I want to kill them all, brutally. But I'm not God. I'm just a lowly prophet with anger towards evil. I'm a Jonah where they are concerned. The idea that Father would redeem, forgive, restore and use them for good is hard for me. I want my squash vine.
"Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that his kindness (Love towards you) is intended to turn you from your sin?" Romans 2:4 NLT
